Oh Jamie. It's fantastic from White but the human ice cream won't enjoy seeing that replay.

I really rate Rodd but like most 21-year-old LHs his scrummaging has a way to go.

Some really good stuff until the yellow card, then stuttered a bit after the card and didn't take advantage.

Meh. Should be further ahead here. Some good play but think we should bite the bullet and admit tuialgi ain't a wing and bring Malins on ASAP

Beyond me how England are only four points in front !
Will want to actually get some results from all their good play after the break ...

I'm hoping it's the same as the Ireland game but yes we should be more comfortable. Surely the words at half time will be remind the ref the pen count.

Good to see such analysis on the yellow. No mention on the tackler moving forward and upward on the tackle.as it was made by Chieka.

Re: England: Autumn Internationals
Frustrating that, 'precision' should be the watch word for England in the second half, if it had 'clicked' a couple more times we would be out of sight.
Rolling maul has been surprisingly ineffective.
I personally thought that was a red card, I've seen them given so often for those offences. I'm watching it again now, it is a stuck on red for my money. He is a lucky boy.
Have they been in our 22 yet? England keep playing and the chances will come.

king_carlos wrote:England will need to mix up their attack. Smith being able to hang in behind for that ball out the back is a great option but if used every time defence can drift onto him as happened there. Good read by the Australia defence but easily telegraphed from England.
Didn't catch the first half but sounds like the backs moves haven't changed then. Farrell steps in at first receiver and feeds his more creative playmaker out the back to then hopefully isolate the 13 and hit either the fullback or winger. At least Smith gets Steward who will hit a line off of him as opposed to Daly running on the arc away from him. Any good OC will start coming out the line to hit Smith early though.

Mixed thoughts.
He like Slade has butchered / slowed the pace of attack at times....

It's worked well so far. Should be more in front granted. Would be better for Tuilago in midfield can't imagine he's going to remain out wide as its just not worked.

Yep, same as Ireland vs NZ at halftime. The team making the play doesn't always get just reward for it, but then again finishing is a large part of building a scoreline

Not impressed. Backline messed about to accommodate him and Smith running as 2nd fiddle when he should be running things. As expected really.

And Peyper's excuse that he was just holding his ground was rubbish too - he turned his shoulder into the tackle ... they just bottled it.

Really a gap in interpretation. Unfortunately we get the SH ref on that. Again WR need to get much better.

Re: England: Autumn Internationals
Whilst I really don't like Manu on the wing I do like England using him to return kicks as some sides do with a number 8. England have used Billy for it in the past to produce quick ball. Manu can do similar but is a lot faster. England could play Manu at centre and drop him back for kicks if they really want though.

Farrell should be reminding the number as well. The yellows for actually Muppet have brought them but the number is getting up to ridiculous.

I dunno, think they are stealing our gig at the moment, they could yet have another YC for accumulation of offences...

Brave call going to the tail after Blamire's first throw but they execute it well.
Vital penalty for England as it allows them to get back into the Australia half early in the sin bin period.

I'd actually like to see a replay on that second one. It looked like Lawes started coming down from the top of his jump early which might indicate the lift slipping.
I do wonder if England go to the corner from that penalty they just kicked if they have George or LCD on though.

Quite possibly, his throws did improve after the first. Hopefully he'll hit a groove. Good rip to kill the Aussie break though.
