Great opportunity for Rodd. I always thought he looked solid in the set piece but not much in terms of carrying....I've read the opposite from a few posters. Anyone with a bit more insight? Not seen Sale a great deal tbh

I doubt that will be the last time we see Marcus Smith put Steward through a gap.

Bit harsh that considering Hill fell rolled away and no one challenged.

Plus when the tackled player went to ground all the Oz forwards were on the wrong side ...

Manu trying to do something he never does there. Unsurprising unforced error.

Really hard to do in law. There just needs to be a hassle on the ruck. You've secured it good you have 3 2 1 use it.

Agree, with or without the caterpillar, I want to vomit when halfbacks take that long to play the ball. Herschell Jantjies is especially slow at doing it

Though some would say slowing it all down is a key part of SA at the moment.

Smith also attempted a dire chip on advantage that you didn't mention. Doesn't mean that chip wasn't rubbish but thought I'd just mention it as a good example of you obsessively mentioning every mistake from certain players but ignoring them from others.

Eh. I don't understand. Youngs kicked away scrum advantage?

Eh. I don't understand. Youngs kicked away aurum advantage?
Smith also made an abysmal chip on advantage that went unmentioned, pretty obvious point.

The way Smith plays, it is surprising he does not get hit like that more often!

Re: England: Autumn Internationals
England will need to mix up their attack. Smith being able to hang in behind for that ball out the back is a great option but if used every time defence can drift onto him as happened there. Good read by the Australia defence but easily telegraphed from England.

On scrum? Ok. Fair enough I'll try to be fair when he reaches 100 caps .

He's got such brilliant hands that he gets the ball away moments before contact very frequently. Whether the quicker line speed from international defences will see him get hit more whilst doing so could be interesting. Russell and Sexton both take a lot more hits when playing flat for Scotland and Ireland than they do with Montpellier and Leinster. Both are still very effective though.

England's forwards are shifting the ball around contact really well so far today. It's a tactic I'd love them to use more when carrying around the fringes.

The caterpillar can be fixed simply by saying the 9 has 5 seconds to play it as soon as 9 touches the ball, even with his foot
