Lovely stuff, alfie. Not a word we see often on here.
Reminds of the time Jeff used 'oeuvre' when describing some j*zz singer.
Although he was being deliberately pompous whereas I suspect yours is accidental pomposity.
F*ck off, Tino, can you not see that I'm already grooming alfie?

Fist.
Bang on, notches.
Split day.

You sure?
Apparently not, but solid effort from Galts to get up early and get it.

And speaking of solid efforts, does it make you nervous that Newcastle are the highest placed team left in the EFL Cup?

I'm still trying to picture Alfie the Afghan Hound getting his long furry coat shampooed and blow-dried. And a quick comb around the eyes at the end.
Alfie's more of a sturdy mid-sized terrier in my mind. Alert, energetic and loyal and will chase that ball all day long without the slightest worry about his appearance on the field. So long as the job gets done. That's all that counts.
Ah.. I see. Not that kind of grooming you mean, Galted?

Funny you say that. People build up mental pictures of what posters look like and I've always pictured alfie as looking like Dog The Bounty Hunter. Just with dark hair. So not a million miles from what you're describing, Pee Jay.
And Galted, sorry. I'll go back to grooming riCK and leave you to soil alfie.

It's all a bit weird TBH, mate. Not used to this doing well at football lark, but will certainly be cheering of Forest tonight, big Chris Wood for a hatty.

I sort of picture you as a cross between Withnail and a middle-aged Robert Plant.
I can see you casually feeding the chooks in summer wearing an open denim shirt and coda-like medallion swinging about your person... but looking a bit pissed off about something. Like a left open gate or a fallen branch on the ground which you'll no doubt have to clean up.

I think I've posted this before but my nickname at the cricket club is UGS. Which stands for Ugly Graeme Swann. Gives you some idea....
I have you down as looking like Mark Taylor but carrying less weight, slightly longer hair and a bit taller. I used to imagine all Aussies like Paul Hogan but I'm trying to expand my imagination.

That's right. You've mentioned UGS before. He looks good. Just when he opens his mouth... but I can tolerate him. Better to have a happy, confident character than a depressing, glum outlook on things. I note many people on the cricket boards get irritated by him but he's OK compared to others.
Think I sort of look like Alan Alda (his earlier years during Mash) or maybe a bit of a middle aged Robert de Niro look. But much better looking than them of course.
I'm half Kiwi (with England, Scotland, Ireland ancestry) and my brother has more of the genes from that side. He is more the Tubby Taylor look.
I'm more the central European (German, Hungarian) expression and many people here say I look French or Spanish (the GB heritage side traces back through those countries) and that I sound more English than Australian. I get that quite a lot here.
I won't tell you what my nicknames were. They were more of a play on names rather than having a go at my appearance.
Re: Paul Hogan. Apparently he's not doing so well but is still coming out with some decent one-liners. In an interview the other day he described himself as "being held together by string at the moment." He's lost a bit of weight and looks much older than 83.

I read that as Afghan Whigs at first and was really confused as I'm fairly certain they are from America.

Don't take it out on your kids just because Villa couldn't beat Stevenage.

That could quite conceivably be the worst performance by any team in any sport ever.

F*ck... so we are all so handsome and look the same.
That Thunder match when they got all out for 15 runs comes close.
But T20 isn't really a proper sport like bossaball is it?
Amazing that he managed to get so many of them on board one ocean liner. That truly is a remarkable achievement.
I wonder where all the other passengers slept?

At least when you f*ck up royally in cricket you get a memorable score to mark the occasion and for the stattos to get excited about.
What made the Villa performance so aggravating was that Stevenage themselves offered pretty much nothing, were just gifted the win at the end by sanity-defying ineptitude.

Just watched a bit of Jeremy H*nt.
He had a list behind him.
Halve inflation
Grow economy
Reduce debt
Cut waiting times
Stop the boats!
Right at the end of the list they let their true colours out. It was so amusing. The rest of it was all stuff that any politician would say, then basically 'Keep the dirty foreigners out' right at the end.
H*nt by name, c*nt by nature.

"Stop the boats" sneaking in at the end there like Dr Strangelove failing to stop his arm doing the Nazi salute. This f*cking obsession with migrants / refugees and pandering to racist morons like Farage already caused this country to make a catastrophic error. I think we need to learn our lesson and maybe focus on other more important things.

So many boats capsize because they're knocked over by the huge number of turds being flushed straight into the channel.

And of course it is dead easy to stop the boats. You have proper safe routes for refugees (Processing people in France has been mentioned frequently) and a properly funded immigration service.
Which just goes to show that the migrant boat situation has been manufactured for political reasons only. People are drowning because of political expediency.
