6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 26th June 2023 (Episode 6) Empty 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 26th June 2023 (Episode 6)

Post by JJJohnson Mon 26 Jun 2023, 7:09 pm

*The show goes on air and we start in the 6CWF Boardroom. JJ Johnson is present and it is clear that he has been joined by some of the major players from VIP Promotions. Acer comes in to take his seat and then finally we have Clarke James and his lawyer, Ari Goldstein.

*Trevor Abrahams, Vice President of VIP Promotions, starts off and he reads through everything that has gone down in previous weeks. The issues with Clarke James, the attacks on Tyson Armstrong, Rock V2 and the security footage. He then moves on to Acer’s assault of Clarke James at “From the Ashes” and finishes by saying that despite all of CJ’s infringements, it is imperative that Board members remain impartial and unbiased in their approach.

*Abrahams says that with JJ Johnson there would be no VIP Promotions and therefore there would be no 6CWF so they are, of course, thankful to him and will do everything they can to honour that but the Board are appointed to make executive decisions and they feel they must act. They gave JJ free reign to select certain members of his Council and he chose Acer without a secondary thought. But Acer broke the laws of the contract of which he was bound when he laid hands on Clarke James and ultimately cost him the world championship. Abrahams says VIP are left with no choice but to terminate Acer from his standing.

*This is when Ari Goldstein, CJ’s lawyer, chimes in before JJ Johnson can argue. Goldstein says that whilst his client is happy that Acer’s “insubordination” is being addressed, that isn’t what he wants. Goldstein is adamant that Clarke James has been victimised by the 6CWF Council ever since he has made his debut with the company, made to feel unwanted, and that has had a profound impact upon his client’s mental health. Clarke James’ career has been left in tatters by a “witch hunt” and they have doctor’s notes to back that up. Clarke James just wants to be a professional wrestler but he has worried himself sick just waiting for something like this to happen and alas it did on that fateful night at “From the Ashes”.

*Clarke James does not want to drag this through legal and courtrooms. He doesn’t want to sue 6CWF for gross misconduct or lack of moral code (this gets worried looks around the room) but he feels he may have to if his demands are not met here tonight. Abrahams wants to know exactly what it is that Clarke James wants.

*Goldstein says his client is a simple man and all he wants is to return to his profession in peace without the fear of rebuttal or having any past misdemeanours held against him. Clarke James has one simple request and if that request is met then he sees no reason to pursue further action: Clarke James is asking for a one on one match at the Against The Wall premium live event in Manchester….he wants that match to have absolutely no outside interference…..and he wants that match to be against Acer.

*JJ Johnson stands up now and he’s shaking his head. He tells Abrahams and everyone else around the table that it’s a no go. He’s rather write a cheque from his own personal account to pay this son of b1tch off and have it done but Acer slams his hand down on the table. Acer looks at JJ and says they can go round the houses about the warnings and the “I told you so’s” but this is where they are. And Acer doesn’t regret one single thing he did because Clarke James is a “cancer”.

*Acer looks down the table at CJ and he tells him he will see him at Against the Wall and he promises that he will destroy Clarke James once and for all, he will destroy him and end all of these sick and twisted games.

*Clarke James doesn’t answer but continues to file his nails as Abrahams looks around the table and asks if the motion carries. JJ Johnson can’t believe it but the vote is in and it looks like the match is happening. Trevor Abrahams wants it known that Acer cannot return to his duties until after “Against the Wall” and advises he goes home and starts to prepare. JJ is staring at his friend in disbelief as Acer nods and gets ready to leave.

*Ari Goldstein has one last request and that is that his client’s current mental health problems be addressed by the company given that they are “responsible”. Abrahams looks to JJ, who is ready to lash out, and then says the company is lawfully obliged to look after the mental and physical well being of all their staff members. If Clarke James has any concerns then all he has to do is contact VIP Promotions.

*CJ and Goldstein rise and CJ stares at JJ, who is looking down. Johnson finally raises his head and glares at his one time friend. CJ and Goldstein then exit the officer and Acer is standing in the corridor outside. Security are on hand to keep them apart but CJ has a sick and twisted smile on his face as he looks at Acer and then at the official “Against The Wall” poster that is on the wall behind
.

6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 26th June 2023 (Episode 6) Empty Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 26th June 2023 (Episode 6)

Post by JJJohnson Mon 26 Jun 2023, 7:16 pm

*We head to ringside as Jeff Thadeus and RJ welcome us to the show as the crowd inside the Copper Box go wild. The commentary team talk about what we have just witnessed during the Acer/CJ hearing and then we get an official graphic of Clarke James vs Acer at Against The Wall.

*The commentators then run down the card for tonight and debate on what we can expect to see as well as addressing last week’s show and the seeming return of Blue Dragon during the main event. RJ wonders if Dragon will show tonight before we see that Robin Reborn is once again here in the arena, greeted by boos as he is shown on the big screen.

*We head backstage now and Clarissa is approaching Acer in the parking lot. Acer says he’s heading home to be with his family as JJ Johnson comes storming out to see his friend. JJ wants to talk and “sort this (beep) out” but Acer shuts him down. Acer tells JJ that it’s done and he’s glad because now Clarke James is gonna get what has been coming to him a long time. JJ doesn’t want this but Acer says the decision is made and it is final. Acer is heading home and he wants to spend time with his family and prepare. He says he’ll see JJ soon. Acer drives off and leaves JJ looking frustrated.

*Ari Goldstein exits Clarke James’ dressing room with a prepared statement to read to Timothy Allen. The statement reads that CJ would like to thank everyone who has stood by him during this very difficult time and he is glad that justice has been served and now the whole world is starting to see the victimisation he has suffered. Clarke James promises his fans that he will not let the vendetta from the 6CWF Council stop him from achieving his goals and once again becoming world champion. Clarke James says he will come out of this with his head held high and his victory at Against the Wall over one of his oppressors will be a victory for anyone who has ever been held down by the establishment. Clarke James asks that his privacy, at this time, be respected and that there be plenty of understanding in regards to his struggles with his mental health etc. Ari Goldstein thanks Timothy Allen for his time and retreats back inside the dressing room.

*Cody Walker is standing by with Clarissa. Cody is full of energy, dressed in pink and green, and he’s ready to go out and put on a show. He admits disappointment for his loss last week but sees it as a learning curve. Walker is only 19 and whilst he has big aspirations for his career he knows it won’t just happen overnight. He doesn’t want to talk about his father and says there are plenty of dirtsheets on the net ready to print the stories so he’ll leave them to it. Walker says he wants the fans to get behind him because he is all about entertaining.

Cassidy walks in and interrupts. He warns Walker that his name precedes him and that could attract the wrong kind of interest. Walker assures Cassidy that he is ready for any challenge or threat before walking away. Cassidy looks intrigued.

Bout 1
Cody Walker vs ???

*Cody Walker makes his entrance to cheers from the crowd in attendance. There is talk amongst the fans and the commentators now that “Air” Walker has been revealed as the son of Alex Walker. Cody reaches down and tags hands with the younger fans before removing an elaborate headdress which he places on the head of a little girl in the front row. Walker hops up on the apron and catapults himself over the top rope.

*Yarmouth Blade is revealed as Walker’s opponent, making his second appearance since 6CWF opened its doors. Blade seems to be hyping the crowd but then he gives them all the middle finger, which turns any good will into boos.

*Blade pretends to shake hands with Walker before rifling in a hard kick to the gut to get the contest underway. He slaps Walker hard in the side of the head and then grabs him by the arm and whips him off the ropes. Walker comes back and he cartwheels out of Blade’s grasp before leaping up and landing a dropsault that knocks his opponent down.

*Blade gets back up, annoyed, and misses with a wild lunge as Walker leaps up and clatters a heel kick into his jaw to knock him down again. Walker then runs to the ropes and moonsaults off the middle into an outstanding backflip legdrop for a two count.

*Walker pulls Blade up and attempts a brainbuster but Blade floats over the back and nails an inverted DDT counter. Blade heads for the corner and climbs up before leaping off with double knees to the back of Walker’s neck as he tries to stand, scoring yet another nearfall.

*Blade signals the end and he flips Walker up for a powerbomb but it is countered into a hurricanrana takedown. They get back up and Walker runs under a clothesline and he springs onto the ropes before flipping back, landing on Blade’s back with his heels wrapped and flips into a sunset flip bomb for two.

*The commentators are talking up Walker’s unique style as he points to the skies and the crowd cheer. He heads to the top rope and waits for Blade to stand before launching toward him, only to be met in mid-flight by a big boot. Blade flips Walker up and nails the powerbomb but Walker finds the ropes with his boot.

*Blade drags Walker up for a “overdrive” (playmaker) but Walker swipes his standing leg and bridges over for a two. They rush back up and Walker tries for a leapfrog but Blade catches him. Blade signals that he is going to run and powerbomb Walker over the top rope but Walker switches his body position in mid-run and he delivers a sickening poisionrana that dumps Blade on the back of his head.

*Walker points to the corner and he runs in and uses the top rope to catapult himself up into an imploding 450 splash but Blade drives his knees up. Blade gets back up and this time he hits the “overdrive” for a two count. Blade rags Walker back to his feet and whips him into the corner but Walker leaps onto the top rope. He backflips over Blade and then springboards onto the ropes and crashes a knee into Blade’s face, taking him off his feet. Walker scores with “rolling thunder” but Blade kicks out.

*Walker runs to the corner and he climbs up. He beckons for Blade to stand and then he runs across the ropes and somersaults off for the somersault leg attack (driving his heels into the top of his opponent’s head) but Blade moves and sends Walker into the canvass. Blade runs the ropes and returns with a solid knee to the face of his seated opponent but gets a two.

*Blade tries for the sleeper but Walker rushes back into the corner and crushes him before nailing a stiff pele kick over his shoulder. Blade is slumped as Walker lifts him onto the top rope before springing off the middle ropes and he lands with his legs across Blade’s neck before pulling him off the top rope with an incredible rana-clutch facebuster (top rope x-factor)

*Blade is flat on the deck as Walker heads to the corner and climbs up. He points out to the fans, many of the younger ones sporting his coloured merchandise, and then he leaps backwards into a “coffin drop” that splatters across the body of Blade.

JT: Each time I see this kid I am so impressed at what he can do…

RJ: Nineteen years old with the world at his feet….he’s taken some licks in there tonight but he’s come out swinging…

JT: And now he’s setting Blade up for the fall here….he calls this the “Ultima Weapon”

RJ: FF7 fan?

JT: I believe so….

Blade is barely functional as Walker helps him up and then lifts him into an electric chair position. He pulls him into place and then drills him into the canvass with the “Ultima Weapon” (One Winged Angel)….

JT: Call it a night…

1.
..
..
…..2
..
…………….3!

RJ: Cody Walker gets his first win in 6CWF and he’s done it following a great performance…

JT: His opponent probably has about fifteen years experience over him but Walker rolled with the punches tonight and he has come out on top….his array of moves gets better every week…

RJ: Despite his ties to his father, this crowd seem to be getting behind him….Walker is a real breath of fresh air in the division…

“One of a kind” is playing out as Walker is declared the winner and has his arm raised in victory. The youngster looks delighted as he punches the air and then he hops from the crowd to tag hands with the fans around ringside. He stops again to pose for a picture with the girl he gave the head-dress to and then he leaps back up onto the rampway and makes his way toward the exit…

JT: Really fun, energetic way to kick things off here tonight folks and we have got so much more to look forward to…

6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 26th June 2023 (Episode 6) Empty Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 26th June 2023 (Episode 6)

Post by JJJohnson Mon 26 Jun 2023, 7:21 pm

*Lex Hart is standing by with Jack Reynolds. Lex says this is just a rehashed storyline and when you get to his stage of his career and you’ve done everything he has, it is to be expected. Last month it was Mike Hill….the same way it’s been Keith Leone, Perfect Jack, Dicey Reilly, Geoff Steel, Jackson Black….the list goes on and the latest one is Robin Reborn. Lex doesn’t care because he’s lost count and he’s sure that in a couple of months it will be someone else looking to make a name, someone else looking to cash in on his value.

Hart respects Reborn’s talents and knows he’s achieved a certain level in this business but Hart belongs to a Dynasty, the Dynasty….Hart is royal blood, Hart is the Genesis of this industry and he promises that if RR wants to make this into a big deal then he will be Robin Reborn’s Exodus.

*Drake and Kelsey Callihan are discussing tactics with Daniel Reilly. Reilly isn’t sure Callihan should be going up against Wood but Callihan assures him all is in hand. Kelsey says “Daddy was the best in the business” and Reilly doesn’t doubt it, he knows all about the great Drake Callihan, but they’ve also (beeped) off Liam Wood and knows he will be out for revenge.

Callihan is banking on it and says “Son I wrote the book on revenge”….that’s why he’s asked for a “no holds barred” match because he wants Wood to get the message loud and clear…..Reilly has a smirk on his face as Kelsey eyes him, greedily.

*JJ Johnson is talking with Alex Walker. JJ is clearly struggling and can’t believe the VIP Board sided with CJ. Walker talks about the minefield of “mental health” and that CJ’s “lawyer” played his cards well. But Walker is adamant that Clarke James will get his comeuppance and is sure Acer will be ready for whatever comes at Against The Wall.

*JJ has no doubts about Acer’s fighting abilities but he knows how callous Clarke James is and he doesn’t want to see another friend get hurt. Walker asks “Which one?” and JJ thinks for a moment and shakes his head and admits that he can’t see Clarke James as a friend anymore. He’s an enemy of everything they are trying to build. JJ wants Walker’s advice on how he should handle it because he’s struggling with the “suit” and just wants to “take it back to the streets”. Walker assures JJ that he is doing a great job and nobody understands how difficult the corporate side is. He wants JJ to come to him with anything he needs. JJ thanks Walker and congratulates him on seeing his son's first 6CWF win. Walker says he hardly thinks Cody will want him celebrating but JJ says a father's acknowledgement means a lot and he should reach out.

6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 26th June 2023 (Episode 6) Empty Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 26th June 2023 (Episode 6)

Post by JJJohnson Mon 26 Jun 2023, 7:22 pm

Bout 2
Daniel Reilly vs Lex Hart

*Back at ringside and Daniel Reilly is already making his way across the ramp to the ring. The commentators are recapping on Reilly’s attacks on Liam Wood as well as his new found alliance with The Callihans. Jeff Thadeus is surprised neither are out here but talks about how Drake Callihan has requested a match with Liam Wood tonight.

*Lex Hart is out to big cheers from the London crowd. The commentators talk about Lex’s unsuccessful attempt at winning Euro gold last week and then getting slapped by Robin Reborn. RJ reminds us that Lex hasn’t won a match since week one and Daniel Reilly is still without a win in 6CWF so there is a lot riding on this one.

*The two 6CW Originals get the bout underway. Lex shows his wrestling ability in the early going and he takes the back of Reilly before dropping to his knees and pulls his legs from under him. Lex quickly grabs the ankle for a submission but Reilly quickly crawls to the ropes and grabs hold.

*Reilly urges the referee to keep Hart back but then leans over the referee’s back and pokes Hart in eyes as he approaches. Lex staggers away and then Reilly knocks him down with a clothesline. Reilly pulls Lex up and nails three big European uppercuts and then whips him off the ropes. Lex leapfrogs over Reilly on the comeback but is then spun into a powerslam as he returns again. Hart kicks out on two.

*Reilly applies a seated headlock but Hart fights his way up. He elbows at Reilly’s ribs, breaking free, and then runs at the ropes but returns into a huge dropkick to the mouth. Reilly pulls Lex up and nails a big suplex before heading for the corner. DR launches himself into a frogsplash but Hart moves. Lex runs into Reilly and rolls over him into a pinfall for a two.

*Lex grabs Reilly by the waist for a German but Reilly elbows his way free and then drops his opponent with a clothesline. He whips Hart into the corner with so much velocity that Hart hits the turnbuckle and flips over onto the apron. Reilly then charges over with a jumping European uppercut under the chin that sends Lex flying off the apron into the ringside barrier.

*Reilly isn’t interested in the countout as he climbs out of the ring and attacks Hart. He slams his head into the steel steps and then lifts him into a back suplex postion and slams him down on top of the Japanese announce desk. Reilly grabs Lex’s leg and lifts it before slamming it back down into the table. He then drags Hart off and whips him into the ring apron. Reilly dumps Lex back in the ring and the commentators remark on Hart looking worse for wear

*Reilly slithers into the ring and he stalks Lex before leaping into the RKO attempt but Lex wraps his arms around his waist and nails a bridged German suplex for two. They get back up and Reilly sidesteps before using Hart’s momentum to push him, chest first, into the turnbuckle. He then rolls Hart up and grabs the ropes during the pinfall but the referee spots the infringement.

*Reilly is being warned by the referee as Lex rolls out onto the apron. Reilly grabs Hart by the hair and pulls him back through the middle rope. He looks for the hangman DDT (ala Randy Orton) and nails it but Hart gets his foot on the ropes before the three.

*Reilly goes back on the stalk again for the RKO but this time Lex turns his body so that he can counter with a neckbreaker. Hart then nails a moonsault off the bottom and second ropes. He leaps up high for the “BME” to finish the hat-trick but Reilly drives his knees up into the stomach.

*Reilly flips Hart up and nails a fallout neckbreaker for a two. He then goes back to the top rope for the frogsplash but Lex is up. Hart runs in and leaps into the air for an enzeguiri that lands against the legs of Reilly and causes him to crotch on the top rope. Lex climbs up and he delivers a hige superplex but Reilly kicks out again.

*Lex backs up against the ropes and then sprints out for a “Canadian Destroyer” but Reilly counters out with an Alabama slam. Reilly goes third time lucky for the top rope frogsplash and lands it but only gets a two.

*Reilly argues with the referee as Kelsey Callihan comes running across the ramp and then down to ringside. Lex is leaning against the ropes and Kelsey takes one of her heels off and crashes it against his head. Reilly shoves the referee aside and then makes the cover but Lex kicks out again.

RJ: There is absolutely no need for Kelsey Callihan to be out here and making a nuisance of herself…

JT: The Callihans sticking together with their charge…

RJ: Lex is in a bad way here and Reilly is stalking his prey…

There is a trickle of blood down the nose of Lex Hart from where the heel hit him. He tries to get back to his feet as Reilly watches his every move and then makes his decision…

JT: RKO!

Reilly leaps up and lands an almighty RKO, snapping Hart down on his head, as “Revival Mode” screams through the speakers. The crowd are going wild as Liam Wood comes sprinting across the ramp…

RJ: Liam Wood has been hunting for Daniel Reilly for two weeks now….he’s hell bent on getting his revenge…

Kelsey shrieks at Reilly, who is kneeling over Lex, and he slithers out of the ring to join her as Wood storms the ring. Reilly leaps over the barricade into the crowd, where he stands with a smirk on his face as Liam Wood glares at him…

JT: Liam Wood has come for his pound of flesh but Reilly is high-tailing out of here…

RJ: Reilly doesn’t like it when the fight is fair...this is not on his or Callihan’s terms…

Kelsey is grinning from ringside, taunting Wood, as Reilly beckons for his rival to follow him. Wood doesn’t need asking twice as he dives from the ring and leaps the barricade to chase Reilly through the crowd…

JT: Reilly still has a match….a match that he seems to have won…

RJ: But he’s running for his life right now…

JT: And Kelsey Callihan looks delighted…

Kelsey is twirling her hair with an evil smirk as he climbs back up onto the ramp and heads backstage. Lex Hart is barely getting to his knees as the referee calls for the bell…

JT: Lex Hart, despite being RKO’d, has picked up a countout win here….

RJ: Reilly’s losing streak continues but he has bigger problems right now….if and when Liam Wood catches up to him I don’t think he is going to like the consequences….

6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 26th June 2023 (Episode 6) Empty Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 26th June 2023 (Episode 6)

Post by JJJohnson Mon 26 Jun 2023, 7:23 pm

*Lex sits in the ring, dizzied, getting himself together as he realises he’s won, but not really much else. He rubs his head and looks up to the ref to be helped up, but having gone to help him, suddenly he steps back.

JT: Oh my!

RJ: Don’t turn around, Lex!

*Lex looks to the retreating ref and then turns to see what he’s looking at that has spooked him. As he turns his head, the base of a foot smacks into his face and he crumples down again

JT: It’s Robin Reborn, and he’s picking up where he left off last week!

*Reborn circles Lex with his arms aloft as the crowd boos.

RJ: The former 6CW Champion has found himself a new enemy

*Reborn grabs Hart’s hair, pulls him up and then steps back for another…

JT: Superkick! Good god, I felt that one

*The slap echoes around the arena as Reborn laughs and rolls out of the ring

RJ: What’s he after?

JT: Just a mic, just a…oh no

*Reborn grabs a mic, but gets a chair straight after. He rolls in, sets the chair down near Lex and then grabs him by the hair once more, leaning down to go face-to-face with the battered and bruised legend.

RR: I………am………Robin………Reborn. And you will act accordingly!

*He slaps Lex, not once but twice

RR: WAKE UP!!

*Lex looks at Reborn, finally really seeing him, but rather than worry or fear, Lex is resolute. Without the strength to force the sound from his throat, you can still see that Hart tells Reborn off

JT: Kick after kick, an RKO that nearly ripped him in half, and Hart has just told Reborn to go to hell.

RJ: Fighters like Lex Hart don’t go down lightly, they go down swinging, trying to take his assailant with him

*Reborn gets right back into Hart’s face

RR: You’ll regret that

*He quickly turns, grabs the chair and spins around all in one motion to smash it flat into Lex’s forehead. It crashes against him and his head rockets back into the mat, bouncing up again and meeting another chairshot, Reborn not holding an inch back.

JT: Good god, stop, stop, he’s already done!

*The crowd boos, Hart lays flat, and Reborn smiles. He sets the chair up and sits on it, next to the prone body of his victim. Lex bleeds onto the mat. Reborn looks casual, facing out to the crowd, ignoring Hart.

RR: A week full of messages. Why are you back? When does 6CWcheF start? Why hit Luke?

RJ: Did he just call him Luke?

*He ponders

RR: And once I read Luke Hart, it did ring a bell. But why? Cos I do what I want. I’m money, and this show needed me. Failing ideas, Marty Helms and Uryu Ishida as champions, no-name wannabes with CVs like a high school kid. No one was going to watch the nobodies and a cast of old failures, nobody. And with my reputation on the line, the bell-to-bell Gateway to Glory winner, the 6CW champion, the man who entered Joshua’s domain and made it into my own personal circus…they begged me to come save them and I was more than ready to remind these talentless freaks that I built 6CW on my back, carried it on my own talent, my ideas, my creativity.

*He points down at Hart

RR: And on my triumphant return, this guy wants to look at me? Wants to talk to me? Me? Robin Reborn? If you want a ticket to my show, you pay the price and get your Insta-moment.

*Now he looks at him

RR: Well, I see you now, old man. And what did it get you? The Kid, Robin Reborn, he jumps so high, man that boy can fly…I DECIDE WHEN I’M IN THIS BUSINESS, WHAT I DO IN THIS BUSINESS, AND WHEN I’M OUT OF THIS BUSINESS! YOU UNDERSTAND ME NOW?!

*He gets up and strolls to the ropes, looking right down the hard camera

RR: You understand where the power lies now, Johnson? I’m the adored, the name they all wanted back, the profile this company needs. I’m the answer to every bit of fantasy booking, and I will let you bask in my glow.

*The crowd have booed throughout, but it turns up as he stops

RR: You should all be grateful that this little bit of TV stardom has come back to run this town again. It was better on my back, and I can take us to the moon, if only you complete anchors let me.

*He gets up, unfolds the chair and leaves it flat on Hart’s chest. He leans down and speaks in his ear.

RR: Would you like me to get the paramedics now, Luke? Yeah? Will that help?

*Reborn gets up and clicks his fingers, and the medics do rush down to the ring. Reborn laughs, picks a roll of notes from his pockets and leaves a nice wad for Lex.

RR: Here’s something for your troubles. Buy yourself a nice bottle and drink yourself back to oblivion. Woo!

*Reborn laughs and skips out of the ring, forcing the medics to wait and let him past before they rush in and help Hart.

JT: Well, it looks like Robin Reborn is back…whenever he wants to be

RJ: Does he think his name is Luke?

JT: I think that says a lot about him. He doesn’t know Lex’s name, and he doesn’t care, because the only name that matters to him is his own.

*Reborn stops at the top of the stage, blows a kiss to the ring and bows before sauntering away. The medics work on Lex as the scene fades.

6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 26th June 2023 (Episode 6) Empty Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 26th June 2023 (Episode 6)

Post by JJJohnson Mon 26 Jun 2023, 7:25 pm

*GazzyD is in the back with Clarissa. She wants to talk about tonight’s match with Cameron Faith and putting friendships aside to win the “Road to Royalty”. We see Uryu in the back getting a drink as Timothy Allen approaches. We hear Allen asking Uryu “How was the drink last week?”. Uryu turns and is coy but smiling as Gazzy becomes very preoccupied and distracted from his interview as Clarissa repeats her questions.

Cameron Faith walks into shot and he shakes hands with Gazzy and wishes him good luck, no hard feelings and may the best man win. Faith leaves and Gazzy seems in a daze before he shouted by a returning Kristal. She flirts with Gazzy and wishes him him luck. Gazzy doesn’t seem to know how to respond as he heads for ringside.

*JJ has gathered Diablo, Christy James, Alex Walker and Drake Cabowers. JJ says they need to talk about tonight’s hearing and now that Acer is suspended and Brandi is still in America he needs his team on point. Walker says they will help with everything. JJ wants to know the referee’s debacle is taken care of and Walker says he has talked to them, no more mishaps. JJ says they need to discuss title challengers and by the end of the night they need some decisions made.

JJ says right now there’s all sorts flying around. He’s got Robin Reborn turning up like he’s a roster member. He’s got Blue Dragon airing private business dealings in public and he’s got Clarke James’ exploiting every loophole in the book. Johnson admits that mistakes have been made on his part but he looks around and says they can afford no more. He looks around and asks if anyone has anything they need to bring to him and sort out. Walker is looking at Drake but he says nothing. Christy looks a little withdrawn whilst Diablo shakes his head and says he’s enjoying his role as “Talent Relations”. JJ says his door is always open because any issues are issues of the Board and they can deal with them together.

*Liam Wood is interviewed by Jack Reynolds. Wood says tonight was a surprise when he heard Drake Callihan had called him out for a fight but it’s about time someone put the old man in the ground where he belongs. Wood says this has been ten years in the making and it ends tonight when he cuts the head off of the beast that has lingered in the shadows of his career for too long. Reynolds informs Wood that Callihan has requested “no holds barred” and Wood is happy to accept. Reynolds asks if Wood believes it is “a trap” and Wood says probably but that means Reilly is likely to show up and this way he can put both of their heads on a spike at the same time. Wood says tonight the running stops and the violence starts. He is closing the chapter on EWF once and for all.

Bout 3
Road to Royalty Qualifier
Cameron Faith vs GazzyD

*Huge ovation in the Copper Box as Cameron Faith makes his way to ringside. Faith looks in good spirits and the commentators talk about how he is making efforts to turn his career around after falling out of form of late. RJ is still convinced that Faith can be a world champion one day.

*More cheers as GazzyD then makes his entrance. Gazzy does his elaborate entrance, leaping through the trapdoor in the floor, but there is no grin on his face as he makes his way to ringside. The commentators talk about how Gazzy is trying to keep it all together in the face of serious personal issues. Jeff Thadeus believes that a run in this tournament and some glory may be exactly what GazzyD needs.

*Faith immediately offers a handshake to Gazzy before the bell. Gazzy stares at the hand for a few moments and then he nods and slaps it back. Faith grins at him as the bell sounds. They circle one another and then tie up in the centre of the ring. Faith twists the arm of Gazzy but Gazzy rolls across the floor and pulls Faith down. They scramble back up and lockup again. Gazzy places Faith in a side headlock but the Scotsman bounces back off the ropes and shoves his opponent across the ring. Gazzy comes forward and Faith throws him into a hiptoss. Gazzy looks annoyed as he gets back up, the cheers of the crowd riling him, and he slaps Faith in the mouth.

*Faith looks angry now and he sticks the nut on Gazzy before grabbing his wrist and whips him to the corner. Gazzy leaps onto the turnbuckle and feints for a crossbody so Faith drops to the mat and then he spins around and lands a legdrop from the second rope for a two count.

*Gazzy pulls Faith up and attempts a face-first suplex but Faith swivels over the back and shoves Gazzy off the ropes before taking him down with a drop toe hold. Faith looks for the anklelock but Gazzy rolls forward and sends his opponent to the corner. Gazzy gets up and chases in but eats a big back elbow to the jaw. Faith lifts himself onto the second rope but Gazzy runs back in and leaps up to join him before nailing a “Spanish Fly” from the middle turnbuckle for another two.

*Gazzy sets up for “Deep Impact” but Faith counters with a backdrop over the top rope and Gazzy lands on the apron. Faith motions for the superkick and Gazzy flinches….Faith then chooses to vault over the ropes and he spins Gazzy off the apron into a huge DDT on the hard flooring outside of the ring.

*The referee’s count gets to six when Faith rolls back in the ring. He wags his finger at the referee in regards to a countout win and then he sprints off the ropes and returns with a suicide dive as Gazzy tries to get up. Faith throws Gazzy back in the ring and then heads up to the turnbuckle. Faith signals to the crowd and then launches himself into the “Leap of Faith” moonsault but Gazzy moves at the last second and sends him crunching into the canvass. Both men are slow to rise but they do and Faith walks straight into a kick to the gut. Gazzy attempts “Deep Impact” again but this time Faith swipes his feet and catapults him toward the ropes. Gazzy lands on the ropes and he waits for Faith to get back up before twisting off into a hurricanrana takedown. They get up again and Gazzy nails a spinning heel kick before immediately following up with a “starship pain” moonsault off the ropes but Faith gets his foot on the ropes. Gazzy looks furious at his own mistake.

*Gazzy is talking to himself as he gets up and beckons for Faith to stand. He positions himself behind and then pulls Faith into place for the “history maker” (inverted twist of fate) but Faith swivels his body and counters with a backslide for a two count. They get back up and Faith uses Gazzy’s momentum to lift him up and flapjack him across the top rope before nailing the “Ghetto Blaster” (Backbreaker into a swinging neckbreaker) for a near fall.

*Faith pulls Gazzy up and nails two straight vertical suplexes. He gets him up for a third but Gazzy fights it and then sits down into a jawbreaker which sends Faith back into the corner. Gazzy chases in for a monkey flip but Faith lands out on his feet. Gazzy gets back up and Faith leaps in for the “Act of Faith” (Superkick) but Gazzy ducks it and nails the “History Maker” for two.

*Gazzy is showing real frustration now and has words with the referee. He shakes his head in disbelief and heads for the corner. He climbs up high and beckons for Faith to rise before leaping into him with a crossbody but Faith rolls through for a two count. They scramble back up and Faith sidesteps Gazzy and sends him into the ropes before landing a flush dropkick as he comes back. Faith then drags Gazzy up and he succeeds in nailing the hat-trick of vertical suplexes.

*Faith points to the skies once more and the crowd go wild. He scales the heights as the flashbulbs go off and then launches himself into the double rotation moonsault (Leap of Faith) but he crashes down onto the knees of Gazzy. Gazzy staggers up and he drills Faith with the “Downtown” (Skull crushing finale) but again Faith kicks out.

*Gazzy seems angered now and is showing signs of agitation. He grabs Faith, who is out of it, and drags him into position for “Deep Impact” but Faith swivels free at the last moment and then nails a pele kick that sends Gazzy back into the corner. Faith is struggling back to his feet as Gazzy rushes out toward him but Faith counters with a tilt-a-whirl into a front slam.

JT: This one has ebbed and flowed, fantastic action…

RJ: But now Faith is in pole position, he likes his chances….ACT OF FAITH!

Faith stumbles back into the corner and he ushers Gazzy up. Gazzy is slow to rise but eventually he reaches his feet as Faith moves out toward him for the superkick. Gazzy drops to his knees and is holding his back…

JT: I think Gazzy is hurt here….

RJ: Might of been off that slam….or to be honest any of the moves we have seen, this has been a hard-hitting bout…

JT: Cameron Faith looking concerned for his friend here too…

Faith stops in his tracks and he walks over to check that Gazzy is ok. The referee is there also and Faith turns to the official and asks him what they are going to do…

RJ: This match may have to be stopped….Faith doesn’t want to cause any more damage to Gazzy….

JT: ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

Gazzy suddenly grabs the back of Faith’s trunks and rolls him up. He keeps a huge handful of tights as the referee slides down to make the count………………….1………………...2……………….3!

JT: Did that just happen?

RJ: I believe it did….GazzyD with the most miraculous of recoveries…

JT: Oh cmon….I mean that really isn’t in GazzyD’s repertoire but there you go….he feigned an injury, got his opponent to back off, and then stole one with a handful of tights….

RJ: I wouldn’t have believed Gazzy capable of that but I guess desperation measures were called for….he was growing more and more agitated as this match went on, his inability to put Faith away was clearly taking a toll so he found another way…

JT: He cheated, let’s call it what it is…..Cameron Faith showed compassion for his friend who he believed was hurt and it has cost him this match and his place in the tournament…

The crowd are torn and there are a mixture of cheers and boos as “Limelight” plays out and Gazzy climbs out onto the ramp to celebrate. Faith is on his knees in the ring looking at Gazzy in disbelief, he holds his arms out in a questioning manner as the referee holds Gazzy’s arm in the air…

RJ: Faith can’t believe it…

JT: There is no way he would of expected that from Gazzy….none of us did…

RJ: But I guess it is the “Road to Royalty” and there is a lot riding on it….Gazzy wants to be champion and this is his opportunity…..he found a way to win…

JT: I don’t think there is going to be any explaining this….this isn’t going to sit well with some people….sure Gazzy won but the manner in which he has done so is really going to divide opinion…

Gazzy looks at Faith and shrugs his shoulders as if to say “I had to do what I had to do”. Faith stares back and wry smile appears on his face with another disbelieving shake of his head.

RJ: GazzyD advances into the quarter finals….that leaves just two more slots….who will join him in the quest to become King of 6CWF?

6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 26th June 2023 (Episode 6) Empty Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 26th June 2023 (Episode 6)

Post by JJJohnson Mon 26 Jun 2023, 7:28 pm

*A huge Range Rover is shown pulling up outside of the Copper Box. We see the doors open and a pair of boots get out. The commentators are hyping it up and wondering who has arrived.

*Christy James can be seen looking at herself in the mirror, checking her appearance, and then he heads off down the corridor. We wonder where she is heading and she comes to a stop outside of GazzyD’s dressing room. She gives herself a pep talk and then goes to knock on the door when a female’s laughter can be heard from inside. Christy listens closely at the door and it is clear that Gazzy is in conversation with someone. She looks upset as she backs away from the door and walks off.

*The scene changes again as Acer is shown arriving a suburban home. He parks the car in the drive and heads for the door as his wife, a beautiful blonde woman, opens the door and wraps her arms around him. She kisses him and says she saw the outcome on TV. Acer says they’ll talk inside and he knows she’ll be worried but this is something he has to do. She looks concerned but nods her head. She then tells her husband that the flowers he sent were beautiful. Acer’s face drains of colour as he asks “what flowers?”. He leads his wife inside and he wants to see them. She points to the red roses and says they are her favourite and she just assumed. Acer asks if there was a note and she says there was and picks it up…..

“SEE YOU SOON…..X”

Acer looks murderous as he tells his wife to get the children and they’re going away. She looks fearful as Acer paces the house and takes out a baseball bat.

6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 26th June 2023 (Episode 6) Empty Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 26th June 2023 (Episode 6)

Bout 4
Drake Callihan vs Liam Wood

*The commentators still aren’t convinced the next match is going to take place but it seems Drake Callihan has requested “no holds barred” and Liam Wood has accepted. Jeff Thadeus believes this is all some elaborate setup but RJ talks about how Wood is desperate for revenge so he isn’t thinking straight and will walk into the fire.

*Wood is the first out onto the stage and he is met by a majority of cheers, most of the fans now onside after his war with Callihan began. Wood looks fired up as he storms across the ramp and climbs into the ring. He paces back and forth, awaiting his foe.

*There is a pause and then Drake Callihan walks out onto the stage. Callihan looks in fantastic shape given his age and Jeff Thadeus reminds us that Callihan was one of the greatest superstars in NWA history so whilst he may be past his prime, he won’t have forgotten how to fight.

*The commentators do their best to run down the history between these two men which began way back in EWF. Callihan believes that Wood is responsible for bringing EWF down but Wood rubbishes that claim and that Callihan’s own greed is what led to its demise. Callihan continues to stand on the stage with an arrogant smile on his face.

*Suddenly Wood is attacked from the side by Bryan Wells and Mike Conrad (former EWF Originals). They pummel Wood and then drag him up and whip him into the turnbuckle. Wood hits the corner but then flies back out and drops both of them with a huge double clothesline. He lifts Wells up and throws him into Conrad, causing them to clash heads, and knocks him from the ring. Callihan continues to watch with a smile as Wood climbs from the ring and he pulls up the ring apron before producing a steel chair. He lashes the chair across Conrad’s head and leaves him slumped on the floor. Bryan Wells reaches out and grabs Wood by the hair but Wood jabs the chair up into Wells’ face and sends him sprawling across the canvass. Wood climbs back in and he sets the chair up before drilling Wells on top of it with the “Manson Driver”.

*Wood kneels and he stares at Drake Callihan before E-Unit smashes a kendo stick across the back of Wood’s head, shattering it into pieces. Unit stomps all over Wood and then drags him up and whips him off the ropes before popping him up into a powerbomb on top of the steel chair. Unit grabs the chair and he wraps it around Wood’s head and he goes to the ropes. Wood gets back up and he pulls the chair off his head and launches it (ECW style) against Unit’s head, leaving him slumped on the turnbuckle. Wood climbs out onto apron and he suplexes Unit off the turnbuckle and off the apron crashing him through the Spanish media table.

*Wood stands from the wreckage as Wade Kelvin smashes the ringbell into his skull. Kelvin pulls the covers off the floor and prepares to piledrive Wood onto the concrete but Wood swipes his feet and catapults him into the ringpost. Kelvin staggers back and drops to a knee as Wood delivers the “Psycho Crusher” foot stomp on the solid floor.

*Drake Callihan has a moment of trepidation on his face before “Mr Jones” climbs over the barricade. The huge man wraps his hand around Wood’s throat and then chokeslams him straight through the Japanese announce table. Callihan is in the ring now and he wants Wood thrown inside. Jones obliges and Callihan covers but Wood kicks out on two. Callihan orders Jones to get to work again. Jones climbs from the ring and he pulls the top half of the steel steps away and throws them inside. He lifts them up and prepares to run at Wood but Wood nails a drop toe hold which causes Jones’ head to smash into the steps and he slumps there. Wood backs into the corner and he leaps off with another “Psycho Crusher” stomp that crushes Jones’ head even more.

*Wood rounds on Callihan now and his eyes are full of vengeance. Callihan throws his hands up, begging for mercy, but Wood is in no mood to forgive or forget. He takes a step closer to Callihan when Kelsey slides in behind and lands a low-blow, sparking huge boos from the audience.

JT: What even is this….this has been damn near 7 on 1….

RJ: We smelt a setup from the start and now you can see the reality in front of us….no way was Drake Callihan ever going to face Wood one on one….

JT: He has completely resurrected the ghost of EWF to put Wood down….

RJ: AND THERE’S THE FINAL BLOW!

Wood is bent over in agony as Kelsey hurries over to her father. They are smiling but the smiles falter as Wood starts to get back up, looking angrier than ever. Suddenly Daniel Reilly flies from behind and nails an RKO, smashing Wood’s face down into the top of the steel steps….

JT: Wood has been set up….he never stood a chance…

Boos rain down from all around the Copper Box as Daniel Reilly nods at The Callihans and then he climbs from the ring and grabs another steel chair. Wood is slumped across the steel steps as Reilly returns…..CRACK!

RJ: DAMMIT….Wood’s skull just got crushed against the steel steps…..on top of being chokeslammed through a table, attacked with ring bells and kendo sticks….I haven’t seen a mugging like this in a long time….

JT: I can’t believe what we are seeing here….and now Drake Callihan is going to pick the bones….

Reilly drags Wood’s lifeless body off the steps and leaves him flat on the canvass. He motions for Callihan to make the cover. DC walks forward, laughing, and he puts his boot on Wood’s chest…

RJ: What an insult this is….Callihan didn’t even need to get his hands dirty….

1.
..
..
….2
..
..
……….WOOD KICKS OUT!

JT: NO WAY…

RJ: THERE’S LIFE IN LIAM WOOD YET….ASTONISHING RESOLVE AND DETERMINATION!

Drake Callihan looks gobsmacked but Reilly pushes him aside and raises the steel chair up….CRACK…..CRACK…..CRACK…..he unloads with the weapon time and time again, targetting every part of the body he can before throwing the misshapen chair from the ring. He points down at Wood again and Callihan covers….

1…………………..2……………..3!

JT: This is a disgrace…

RJ: Drake Callihan has pinned Liam Wood…..I can’t believe it is 2023 and I’m saying that….

JT: Call it like it is, though…..Drake Callihan with the help of seven others has mugged Liam Wood…..Wade Kelvin, Mike Conrad, E-Unit, Bryan Wells, Mr Jones, Kelsey and Daniel Reilly….it took all of them to finally keep Wood down…..

RJ: Callihan’s reach extends far and wide….he called upon those who owe him and boy has that paid off here tonight...Callihan has really turned this up tonight…

JT: Liam Wood is battered and bruised, probably humiliated….but he will not just let this pass, you can guarantee that…..this war just went to a whole new level…

Boos continue to ring out as Reilly, Kelsey and Drake Callihan raise their arms in the air over the broken, unconscious form of Liam Wood.

6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 26th June 2023 (Episode 6) Empty Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 26th June 2023 (Episode 6)

Post by JJJohnson Mon 26 Jun 2023, 7:31 pm

*Eddy Kent is standing in a floor length mirror and admiring himself. He is talking about the long journey from demanding respect and taking decisive action as a member of Genesis to now. Kent says the hard work never stops and that even now there are those who doubt his worthiness at the highest level. Alex Walker is standing in the room and he says Kent’s ability and stature has never been in doubt and tonight he can all but guarantee himself as the rightful number one contender to the 6CW Championship. Kent is unsure if he will get the nod but Walker is confident. He reminds Kent that the “devil is in the detail” and it is all about how Kent delivers his statement here tonight.

*Geoff Steel is interviewed by Jack Reynolds. Steel says it is always disappointing to bow out in the early running of any competition or running for a title but the manner in which he lost last week is still rankling with him. Steel says he and Blue Dragon have a brief, albeit legendary, history but he cannot understand why he would be a target of Dragon’s, especially given the politically motivated nature of his VT last week. Steel just wants it all cleared up and is hoping Dragon can show here tonight so they can put it to bed.

Steel says the big tag match here tonight is a great way to reverse his fortunes and put himself back in contention. He’s teaming with the current world champion to take on a likely contender and the reigning European Champion. Steel stresses the importance of a win and a good showing to once again throw his name into the hat and hopefully secure future opportunities.

Reynolds asks if a fight with Blue Dragon could be in the offing….Steel says it depends on what he has to say for himself.

*Uryu is being interviewed by Timothy Allen. Allen wants to ask about the tag match and the potential of sharing the ring with Eddy Kent after last week’s attack. Uryu says he understands the business and he understands that being world champion means that he has a target on his back and everyone wants a piece.

Mike Hill interrupts and says Uryu is so good at understanding but yet doesn’t understand that another man’s wife is off limits. Ishida looks annoyed by this comment but Hill tells him to save it for the “Dark Side of the Ring” Series 5, the Uryu/Christy/Gazzy suicide pact…..Uryu looks ready for a fight but Hill smirks and backs away. He says he is the real definition of a champion and everyone can witness that first hand tonight. Hill says Kent may have one eye on Uryu’s belt but when he picks up the win tonight he wants his shot…..”Two Straps” Hill is coming.

6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 26th June 2023 (Episode 6) Empty Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 26th June 2023 (Episode 6)

Bout 5
Eddy Kent/Mike Hill vs Geoff Steel/Uryu Ishida

*The commentary team are on hype for the upcoming bout and Jeff Thadeus is talking about how this could easily be the main event of the evening. Geoff Steel is the first to make his entrance to a fine ovation from the London crowd. He looks laser focused as we get a recap on last week’s show and the VT regarding Blue Dragon’s return which cost Steel his “Road to Royalty Qualifier” against Rex Adamson. We go back to earlier tonight and Steel’s reiteration that when Dragon does show up, they need to have a few words.

*RJ knows Steel is angry and looking for answers but also points out that tonight’s match involves two of 6CWF’s champions so Steel would do well to keep his composure and look to make an impact. Mike Hill is next out and the crowd are booing, although Hill laughs them off. The European Champion climbs onto the ropes and has plenty of abuse to aim at his former tag partner and long time rival; Geoff Steel.

*Eddy Kent is next out, continuing the boos, and we get footage of last week’s attack on the 6CW Champion during his title celebration. RJ reminds us that Kent is undefeated still since joining 6CWF, his only blemishes the two draws with Scott Harris, so he certainly has a claim to be facing off for one of the biggest prizes. Jeff Thadeus says that a win in tonight’s match would go a long way to cementing that opportunity for Kent.

*Uryu is the final competitor out to ringside and he is greeted like royalty. The 6CW Champion bounces from one side of the stage to the other, showing off his championship belt whilst soaking up the adulation of the crowd. He makes his way to ringside and ignores the stares and abuse from Eddy Kent and Mike Hill. Uryu shakes hands with Geoff Steel but it is clear that everyone has one eye on the world championship belt. RJ once again mentions that a great showing in a match with a world champion is likely to get you noticed, whether on the opposing team or as a partner. Jeff Thadeus wonders if Christy James is watching and just how much that “friendship” is playing a part in Ishida’s position at the mountain top.

*Hill and Uryu start out the match with a little champion versus champion action. Hill twists Ishida’s right arm and looks to take control but Uryu runs to the corner and backflips out of Hill’s grasp before dropping him with a dropkick as he turns around. Hill eats consecutive hiptosses before Uryu runs into the corner and nails a monkey flip. Ishida goes high for the “Split Second” as Hill scrambles away and tags in Eddy Kent.

*Eddy Kent waits for Uryu to get down and then they lockup. Kent pulls his rival into a side headlock. Uryu bounces back against the ropes and shoots him across the ring. Kent returns with a heavy shoulder block and then he sidsteps Uryu as he gets back up and lifts him off the canvass with a takedown/slam. He tries to leap on top and synch in the “Kentlock” as Uryu fights out and grabs the ropes. Kent rises with a smirk and offers another lockup. This time he boots Ishida in the stomach and lands a flush European uppercut. He whips Uryu off the ropes and tilt-a-whirls him into a standing neckbreaker on the comeback for a two count.

*Kent lands hard stomps and then he pulls Uryu up. He looks for a suplex but Uryu floats over and locks his legs around Kent’s arms before pulling him into a crucifix for a two. They get back up and Uryu nails a running headscissors that sends Kent into the corner and follows in with a corner dropkick. He lands forearms to the face and lifts Kent up onto the turnbuckle. Ishida climbs up for a top rope hurricanrana but Kent lands hard shots to the gut and rakes Uryu’s eyes before launching him off to the canvass below. Kent tags in Hill who immediately planchas over and lands across Uryu’s chest. He drags Ishida up as Kent jumps off the top with an axe handle to the head. Hill then nails an asai moonsault and Uryu kicks out on two.

*Hill taunts Uryu and then lifts him into a snap suplex. He rolls over to the corner and leaps up top. He aims a mocking trigger at Uryu before leaping into the “Next Big Move” but Ishida moves and sends him crashing into the deck. They both struggle back up and Hill looks for an inverted atomic drop but Uryu counters with a big implant DDT. Uryu staggers up for the tag but Kent smashes into him from behind with a huge lariat to the neck. Steel tries to get in but the referee holds him back. Kent targets the neck with more stomps and then he drags Uryu up and drills him with a spiked DDT. Hill covers but the world champion kicks out at two.

*Hill is back up now and he lands a standing shooting star press before grabbing Ishida’s legs. The Euro Champ attempts a liontamer but Uryu pulls one leg free and kicks out repeatedly until Hill releases his grip. Uryu scrambles back up as Hill charges out at him with a forearm but Ishida ducks and then lands a flush enzeguiri. Hill is stunned, upright, as Uryu springboards onto the ropes and returns with a flying headscissors which sends Hill crashing into Kent and knocks him off the apron. Uryu then rolls over and tags in Steel, which gains a huge reaction.

*Hill gets back up and eats three clotheslines in a row from Steel before he is whipped across the ring and sent into a huge backbody drop. Kent gets back into the ring as Steel benches Hill up and then throws him at Kent, knocking them both down. Steel flips Hill up and runs him into a powerslam for a two count.

*Steel lands huge right hands, backing Hill to the ropes, and looks for an Irish whip. Hill baseball slides through Steel’s legs on the comeback and then remains on the canvass to use his legs to push Steel through the air but Steel grabs his feet and shows immense power to haul Hill off the floor and catches him in a powerbomb position. Eddy Kent then chopblocks Steel from behind as the crowd boo. Steel is down on his knees as Hill runs the ropes and returns with a stiff shining wizard for a two.

*Hill tags in Kent and they both deliver furious stomps to Steel whilst he is grounded. They drag him up and whip him off the ropes before lifting him into a double flapjack as he returns. Hill leaves the ring as Kent watches his opponent on all fours and then runs the ropes and returns with a heavy punt to the body for a two count. Kent considers his options and decides to go to the top rope. Steel rises, however, and grabs Kent before slamming him back down onto the mat. Kent stumbles up and misses with a right hand before Steel drills him with a full nelson slam. Steel backs into the corner and is stalking for a spear when Mike Hill grabs his head. Steel battle off and floors Hill with a right hand but then turns around and is scooped up into a rolling fireman’s slam for two.

*Kent is talking trash over at Uryu as he pulls Steel up. Kent sets for a piledriver when Steel swipes his legs and tries for the “Steelworks”. Kent grabs his opponent’s head and pulls him into an inside cradle for two. They get back up and Kent attempts a big boot but Steel ducks and Uryu eats the full kick, sending him off the apron. Kent is smirking at his handiwork but then turns into a sickening spear. Mike Hill puts Kent’s foot on the ropes before the three.

*Steel looks annoyed but then stalks Kent and readies for the “Bladecutter” piledriver when Hill flies from behind and lands a dropkick to the back of the head. Hill beckons Steel up and attempts “Over the Hill” but Steel pushes him away to the corner. Steel rushes in but Hill spins around and nails a feint kick over the top. Steel staggers back and drops to a knee as Hill goes high. Suddenly Uryu sprints back in and uses Steel’s back as a springboard to leap into the air and catches Hill with a mesmeric hurricanrana off the top rope.

*Hill stumbles back up and Uryu leaps into him with a superkick to the back of the skull, sending him through the ropes to the outside. Uryu then climbs out onto the apron and he wills Kent to stand before leaping into a springboard forearm. Kent ducks and Uryu nearly clatters Steel but manages to stop himself just in time. Kent charges in and big boots both of them with the same kick. He drags Steel up and into a package piledriver but Steel kicks out.

*Kent screams at Steel to raise his head and then sets about putting him in the “Kentlock”. Steel is trying to thrash and fight but Kent is persistent with the submission. Steel shows amazing strength to lift himself and Kent up off the mat. The referee is telling Uryu to leave the ring as Mike Hill slides in and low blows Steel so that he collapses on his knees again and allows Kent to tighten the submission. Steel seems to have passed out but Uryu, who saw the low blow, heads straight to the top rope and nails the “Split Second” to break up the hold before the referee can make a decision.

*Hill runs at Uryu but the world champion sidesteps and sends him over the ropes. Hill looks smug as he lands on the apron but Uryu springs off the turnbuckle and returns to the middle with a dropkick (ala GazzyD) that sends Hill flying off the apron and his head clatters the announce table. Kent is back up and he has an ugly look on his face as he spins Uryu around for the “Mic Check” but Uryu elbows his way free. Kent screams back in for a lariat but Uryu ducks it and springs onto the ropes and flies back so he is sat on Kent’s shoulders (electric chair position) before dropping back and spiking Kent on his head with a poisonrana.

*Steel is back up and he looks at Kent on the deck and then at Uryu before heading toward the ropes and climbing up. The crowd are going wild…

JT: Steel readying himself to fly…..Uryu has cleared the decks….

RJ: Jeff….in the crowd…

The noise levels are through the roof as the cameras show a very familiar face walking down from the bleachers toward the ringside area. The fans are bouncing and going wild as security struggle to contain them and leave the path clear…

JT: He’s here….BLUE DRAGON IN THE COPPER BOX…

RJ: And look at Geoff Steel…

Steel is perched on the ropes but his attention is drawn out to the crowd as he watches Blue Dragon walking down the steps toward the bottom tier. Dragon, dressed in a designer suit, looks pleased with himself as he chooses to take a seat and looks over toward ringside. Uryu is now out on the apron and Steel is explaining something to him. Uryu doesn’t seem completely convinced but he nods his head at whatever Steel has explained and then accepts a tag…

JT: What is Steel doing here….

RJ: I think he’s heading out to confront Blue Dragon….

JT: How wise is that?

RJ: I don’t know but he said he would and here we go…

JT: Leaving it open for Uryu to get some revenge on Eddy Kent….

Steel hops down off the apron and heads over the barricade, where Blue Dragon is now sitting in the front row. Uryu has climbed up onto the top rope now and he casts a quick look over at Steel before launching himself toward Eddy Kent…

RJ: SPLIT SECOND!

Kent moves out of the way at the final second but Uryu is able to use his athleticism to hit the deck and forward roll back to his feet. Kent scrambles back up as Uryu runs towards him…

JT: Kent saw that one coming….BUT NOT THAT!

Kent sidesteps Uryu’s run and sends him against the ropes before scooping him onto his shoulders. He prepares to run him out into a rolling fireman’s slam but Uryu spins his body and nails a DDT that spikes Kent on his head and leaves him in a dazed seated position…

RJ: Hill trying to get back in here….referee having none of it…

Mike Hill rushes around the ring and tries to dive in but the referee blocks him off and reminds him he isn’t the legal man as the cameras pan around to the Steel and Blue Dragon confrontation….

Steel: What are you doing here, Blue? Just another coincidence that you show up during my match? You got a problem with me, big guy? Because you know we can settle it any time…

*Blue Dragon is smirking, leaning back in his seat

Steel: Don’t just smile (beep)head…..I want some goddamn answers…

Dragon: This is nothing to do with you Geoff….you’re irrelevant…

Steel: It’s got everything to do with me when you show up during my fights….you wanna try and (beep) with me, Blue? Why don’t you man up then and show us all what you’re all about….

JT: This Steel/Dragon confrontation is at boiling point…

RJ: IN THE GODDAMN RING!

The cameras show Uryu closing in on Eddy Kent but we then realise Kent is holding the 6CW Championship belt…

JT: That was Mike Hill….he tossed the belt in to Kent and then ran around to distract the referee….

RJ: RIGHT BETWEEN THE EYES!

The boos fill the air as Kent suddenly whirls and he clocks Uryu in the face with the belt before chucking it from the ring. He is laughing as he rolls over on top of Uryu…

JT: This is a sham….a stitch up…...OH MY GOD!

Geoff Steel’s attention is drawn by the commotion in the ring and he turns to see Kent pinning Uryu. Blue Dragon suddenly slips a studded glove onto his hand and he rises before punching Steel right in the jaw with it, leaving him in a heap on the floor, a blood dripping from a cut on his cheek…

RJ: Blue Dragon just sucker punched Steel….WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?

JT: This is out and out chaos….and Eddy Kent is pinning the 6CW Champion….

1.
..
..
..
…..2
..
..
..
………………

RJ: What is he doing?

JT: It’s all about sending the message…

The referee’s count is coming down for three when Kent leans back off the cover, breaking the fall, and he points up at the big screen as the claxon sounds….

RJ: That’s the fifteen minute time limit up….why didn’t Kent take the win?

JT: You’ll have to ask him that...but for my money? He want Uryu to know he had him beat…

RJ: I’m struggling to process everything we have seen in the last few minutes…

Geoff Steel is on the deck outside the ring, holding his bloodied face, as Blue Dragon smirks and stands up. Some of the crowd are cheering and some are booing as he looks down at Steel and shakes his head before choosing to walk back through the audience toward the upper tiers. In the ring and Mike Hill is looking at Eddy Kent in disbelief…

RJ: Mike Hill can’t believe Kent didn’t win the match….

JT: Hill did everything he could to put this one on a plate but Kent is continuing his mindgames with Uryu…

RJ: A pinfall over the champion would have surely guaranteed Kent a title shot….

JT: Is anyone going to deny him one after that? He had Uryu at his mercy….Kent is showing his dominance…

Kent smirks at Hill and then down at Uryu. He backs to the ropes and climbs out onto the rampway, laughing at the reception of the audience. Mike Hill pulls his European Championship from the referee and looks down at Uryu and then over at Steel before slowly following Kent toward the backstage area.

RJ: We knew this match was going to deliver but boy was that on another level...so much to talk about after that…

JT: And we are far from done here tonight...this is insane…

6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 26th June 2023 (Episode 6) Empty Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 26th June 2023 (Episode 6)

Post by JJJohnson Mon 26 Jun 2023, 7:37 pm

*Liam Wood is seething backstage of the humiliation of losing to Drake Callihan. Wood warns that if you have any affiliation to EWF and he suspects you of being in cahoots with Callihan then it’s shoot on site. Wood makes it clear that he’s throwing the challenge out. Callihan wants to ruin him, Reilly wants to be the faithful lapdog. So at “Against the Wall” he is challenging them to a 2-1 handicap match against him.

*O’Callaghan is interviewed by Jack Reynolds. OC talks about the “Road to Royalty” and how he is destined to become “King” and move on to becoming world champion because it makes money and it’s what the people want to see. Rex Adamson interrupts and says the people want to see new blood and superstars who make good on their promises, OC has been promising he’s the real deal since 2017 and 6 years later they are still waiting. Rex says it won’t even take him a year to make good on his promise to become world champion and the leading light of this business….starting with winning this tournament. Cassidy slithers in and his mere presence seems to rub OC and Rex the wrong way. Cassidy says they could both only dream of being created perfect like him and tonight they can get a preview of what a real “God” looks like. Rex scoffs as Cassidy casts him a scathing look and backs away.

*JJ Johnson is sitting with Alex Walker and Drake Cabowers. JJ wants a few things and he knows he can rely on them. He wants Drake to take care of a particular task for him and then organise the draw for the next round of the “Road to Royalty”. Walker offers but JJ says he needs Walker on something else. Walker looks suspiciously at Drake as he leaves.

*JJ turns to Walker and says “Now you’re gonna tell me what’s been going on”.

6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 26th June 2023 (Episode 6) Empty Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 26th June 2023 (Episode 6)

Post by JJJohnson Mon 26 Jun 2023, 7:40 pm

Backstage Jack Reynolds can be seen scrambling for the carpark as the camera turns the corner we see the hulking frame of Blue Dragon.

JR:
Blue Dragon, Blue Dragon! Can we get a moment of your time? Please?

BD turns and sneers at him before leaning against a wall and nodding slightly

JR:
We've just seen a potentially brilliant match, Geoff Steel and Uryu Ishida taking on...

BD:
Listen. I don't go in for all that hype boll*cks, I don't care how good the match could have been. I was here to see what was going on with the company. I declared last week that I'm back, and I made it pretty f*cking clear why I'm here. I'm not here to take out one loser..

Reynolds looks slightly worried as BD steps away from the wall and towards him but he remains professional

JR:
That brings me onto my next point actually.. You and Geoff Steel seem to be in some sort of battle since your re-emergence. Can I ask why your targeting him?

BD:
Ha Hahaha!! Are you havin a laugh? Targeting him? I was sitting watching a show. Some arrogant pr*ck come up to me and gets in my face, and all of a sudden, I'm targeting him?

JR:
But you got in his face just as much, you said some pretty insulting things to him no? Then you attacked him. Not exactly unprovoked I will admit but still.. And last week's video message was conveniently played during Steels match. This can't all be a coincidence? Surely..

BD:
Yes I knocked the b*tch out. He got in my face and to be quite frank, it was really annoying. I wanted him to stop and as I've said before, I take what I want. So I put on the old gaultlet here and I knocked him the f*ck out.

Blue Dragon looks down at the glove on his hand and smiles

BD:
Oh the things we've done together, and the things still to come...

He steps towards the JR slightly and speaks a little quieter

BD:
I'm not here for Geoff Steel, I'm here for the whole f*cking place. Why would I want to waste my time with some over the hill, average at best, wrestler with nothing to gain? If anything I'd be giving this ars*hole the platform he needs to keep himself in the public eye. Then you say I played that VT at a certain time, but let me tell you this, once and once only. I sent the tape for the VT to JJ Johnson. I didn't ask for it to be played at any point. So if anyone was to decide when this was played. It would have been JJ or one of the management on duty last week. Not me. I was sat at home. On my couch, watching the show on Tv..

JR:
So if your not here for Geoff Steel, the. What can we expect to see from you in the coming weeks, what are you here for?

BD:
I saw a video on YouTube the other day. A podcast discussing my return and one of the fellas on there summed it up perfectly.. I'm not here for Geoff, I'm not here to make headlines. I'm here for one thing... Destruction

Blue Dragon turns and walks towards a large black car as the camera cuts off

6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 26th June 2023 (Episode 6) Empty Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 26th June 2023 (Episode 6)

Post by JJJohnson Mon 26 Jun 2023, 7:42 pm

Bout 6
Road to Royalty Showcase
Cassidy vs Johnny Oko vs O'Callaghan vs Rex Adamson

*We get a brief recap on how all four competitors qualified last week for next week’s “Road to Royalty” Quarter Finals as we get a reminder of the tournament brackets.

*Cassidy is the first out and the commentators talk up his impressive start to life in 6CWF as well as his altercation with Cody Walker earlier tonight. Jeff Thadeus knows Cassidy is looking to establish himself but doesn’t know how wise it is for him to be making enemies outside of the playing field he currently finds himself in. RJ doesn’t think Cassidy can help it due to his “Better than you” nature and mindset.

*Johnny Oko then arrives, flanked by his entourage, but then he looks annoyed as 6CWF security arrive to ensure that Oko’s “geishas” and “henchmen” return to the backstage area. Jeff Thadeus believes that JJ Johnson made the call last week for Oko’s “outside influence” to be managed better and this is the first sign of that taking place. Oko slowly makes his way across the ramp, the momentary lapse of emotion now replaced by a blank stare

*Rex Adamson is booed by the majority of the crowd but there are one or two cheers for the arrogant Australian. The commentators talk up Rex’s beginning to life in 6CWF and the fact he is currently 4-0 against former world champions. RJ tells us he can’t add to that tonight but he can certainly gain even more momentum as he seeks to become “King” of 6CWF and fulfil his ambition of becoming the quickest superstar to win a world title.

*The cheers are then deafening as the fans hum along to “Run this town” and O’Callaghan arrives. OC is dressed in his usual fur attire and he whips off his sunglasses to take a good look at the scene in front of him. He swaggers across the stage, laughing as he does so, and talks into the camera about how “The King is here, baby”. He stares around at his competition and doesn’t seem impressed with what he sees. He clambers through the ropes as the crowd singing continues and he starts to conduct them.

*OC continues to play the crowd as Cassidy runs in behind him with a leaping knee to the spine which sends him from the ring to the outside, prompting big boos from the crowd. Cassidy looks smug but then turns into a huge belly to belly slam (ala Ken Shamrock) from Rex Adamson. Rex rounds on Oko and intimates that the floor is theirs.

*Oko and Adamson lockup. Oko draws clear and sends a sharp roundhouse kick to the stomach of Rex before running the ropes but Adamson uses his momentum to send him flying over the top rope and bouncing across the rampway. The commentators remark on whether Oko has been fazed by the removal of his “guards”. Rex dusts off his hands and then turns to face off with O’Callaghan.

*They lockup and OC takes the back and lifts Rex up off the deck as the crowd go wild. They trade control on the mat but OC spins out of Rex’s grip and grabs his arm before applying a mahistrol cradle for a two. They get back up and Rex goes to one knee and slides around back for waist control but OC runs into the ropes and throws his head back to knock Adamson over. Rex gets back up and charges forward but is drop toe holded across the middle ropes. OC dials it up for the “619” but Cassidy catches his legs from outside and drags him to the hard floor before launching him over the barricade into the crowd.

*Cassidy gets up on the apron and he waits for Rex to get up before catapulting in and catches him with an inverted STO in midair for a two count. Cassidy sets for the “Sins of our father” spear but runs straight into a huge spinning powerslam from Rex. Rex ushers Cassidy back up and he bench presses him into the air before dropping him into a spear/spinebuster combo which Johnny Oko breaks on two.

*Oko lashes roundhouse kicks into Rex’s chest as he tries to stand (ala Daniel Bryan) and then aims a big buzzsaw kick at the skull but Adamson ducks and leaps up and lands a release German suplex out of nowhere. Adamson is all fired up as he beckons Oko to his feet and scoops him for the “Fire/Thunder Driver” but Oko slips off back and pushes Rex to the ropes before dropping him with a leaping thrust kick (old Haku style) that lands right under the ear. Oko summons Adamson up and tries to lift him into a “Michinoku” Driver but Rex fights free and pushes him away before charging forward, only to be drop toe holded again but this time into the turnbuckle. Oko circles the ring and charges back in with flying knees to the back of Rex’s head which gains a two count.

*Rex crawls toward centre ring and Oko stomps on his spine and then pulls his arm up ready for the “Fujiwara” armbar but Cassidy leaps in behind him and nails the “Idolatry” (Zigzag neckbreaker). The count seems to be heading for a three when O’Callaghan leaps from on high with a frogsplash which breaks the count.

*Cassidy gets back up, angered, and swings for OC but misses and eats a hat-trick of German suplexes. OC is turning it up now as he ushers Cassidy to his feet again and whips him off the ropes before tilt-a-whirling him onto his shoulders and then drops to his knees with a beautiful modified backbreaker. He grabs Cassidy’s legs and prepares for the sharpshooter, turning him over as Cassidy’s screams of pain fill the air. A submission win seems likely for OC until Rex Adamson gets back up and charges through him with a “Gore”…………..1……………...2………..Oko breaks it up at the final second.

*Oko whips Rex to the corner and chases in but Adamson moves. Rex does a lap of the ring and sprints back in for another “Gore” but Oko sidesteps and sends him crunching into the ringpost. Rex comes back around and this time he eats the “Michinoku” Driver. Oko stumbles to the corner and goes all in with the “Kamikaze” moonsault. The referee counts but Cassidy breaks it up.

*Cassidy shoves Oko in the chest and begins to insult him. The “Oyabun” seems less than impressed as Cassidy shoves him in the face, knocking him into the ropes, and then attempts the “Purification” (Judas Effect) elbow strike but Oko ducks it and then detonates a buzzsaw kick to the temple which sends Cassidy from the ring.

*O’Callaghan is back up as Oko rushes him but is backdropped over the ropes onto the apron. Oko spins on his heel and drives his other foot through the middle rope into OC’s gut, doubling him over, before he catapults back in and drills him with a sickening DDT. Oko stalks OC for a moment and then O’Callaghan reaches out and grabs his trousers to get up. Oko sees red as he seizes the arm and takes OC down into the “Yakuza” armbar. OC is yelling in agony as the appendage is bent at an horrific angle and giving up seems the only option.

*Rex Adamson belying his size walks across the ropes and dives off with a front dropkick to the chest of Oko, sending him flying off the submission. They get back up and Rex dodges a huge lariat before scooping Oko up into an electric chair position and drops him into a crunching German suplex (Croyt’s wrath). The referee counts…………….1………………..2…………..Cassidy pulls Rex under the bottom rope and then, surprisingly, slaps the Australian right in the face.

*Rex’s expression turns from shock to surprise to anger very quickly. Cassidy backs away, holding his arms up for mercy, as Rex lets out a roar and then sprints forward but Cassidy sidesteps him and sends Adamson crashing into the timekeeper’s area, smashing through the stacks of steel chairs and small tables. Cassidy has a big grin on his face as he turns to the camera and says “He’s as stupid as he looks….Cassidy fears no man”.

*In the ring, Oko and O’Callaghan are slowly getting back to their feet. OC pumps forward with a knee strike, sagging Oko into the ropes, and then he charges across and lands with the 619. He grips the top rope and prepares to launch with the springboard but Oko moves aside as OC is forced to throw himself into a roll. Oko re-positions in the corner and waits for OC to turn around before he charges toward him with the “K-Oko” (Claymore Kick)

JT: O’CALLAGHAN SAW IT COMING….FIGURE FOUR!

RJ: The submission expert has one of the deadliest submissions in the game locked in…

Oko flies in for the “Claymore” but OC leaps into the air and kicks out the other leg. Oko staggers up and OC grabs the leg again and nails a dragon screw before applying the figure four leg lock in the centre of the ring…

JT: Johnny Oko in a whole world of pain here….nobody can survive this for long…

RJ: O’Callaghan will break the leg if he has to….there is nobody better in this field…

JT: And Oko has nobody to bail him out….nobody to save him…

1.
….2
..
…………...3!

RJ: WHAT?

JT: WHAT THE HELL! Are you kidding me….

“Wake up” is playing out and everyone inside the Copper Box is stunned. The instant replays show O’Callaghan tightening up the figure four leglock on Johnny Oko as Cassidy crawls into the ring and drops on top of Oko, keeping him pinned to the mat for the three…

RJ: I mean….how do you even begin to describe that?

JT: Robbery…..sneaky….clever...intuitive….I don’t even know but what I do know is that Cassidy has won this fatal four way match…

RJ: First he tricked Rex Adamson, he goaded him and forced the implosion…..and then he snook in and stole this pinfall….Oko was in agony from the submission, he couldn’t fight the pinfall and the submission at once….O’Callaghan was wrapped up in the submission and he couldn’t free himself quick enough to break it…..I have to admit this was not the result I was expecting here…

JT: I don’t think anyone was….

Cassidy has already scarped up onto the ramp and has a grin on his face as he raises his arms in victory. O’Callaghan is on his knees, looking surprised, whilst Johnny Oko has rolled from the ring with a slight hobble, his one good eye on Cassidy. Rex Adamson is up and is launching chairs around in the announce area…

RJ: Cassidy has come in here since “From the Ashes” and I don’t think anyone can deny that he’s making an impression….that’s three wins from three….are we looking at the next “King” of 6CWF?

JT: I wouldn’t have believed so at the beginning of the “Road to Royalty” tournament but all of a sudden you have to start to wonder….this is an extremely devious individual…

6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 26th June 2023 (Episode 6) Empty Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 26th June 2023 (Episode 6)

Post by JJJohnson Mon 26 Jun 2023, 7:50 pm

*JJ Johnson is backstage, still trying to get hold of his wife, when Geoff Steel walks up on him. Steel wants to know what the hell is going on with Blue Dragon. JJ lets out a sigh and then agrees to “be real”. He says Dragon ain’t employed here so I can’t book you in a match with him but I understand that if he turns up next week you’re gonna do what you’re gonna do and I respect that. Steel wants to know what the deal with JJ/Dragon is and why BD’s VT was played last week during his match and JJ says it seems that when you get into business, everyone comes for a piece. He says Dragon “got a bee in his bonnet” but JJ gone straighten all that out from his end. As for the VT, he knows what Dragon said earlier but the truth is that BD and his people somehow hjacked the feed and decided that during the main event would maximise the views of his message. But if BD wants to be up in 6CWF causing chaos then he’s making himself fair game to whatever and whoever gone take exception. Steel nods and says he just needed the green light and walks away.

*JJ gets out his phone again and dials. This time someone answers and we hear him say “Trev….nah this ain’t (beep) to do with Clarke James, although I’m still gone need some answers on that…...we got two other bits o’ business fo tonight…..first I need you to tell me all bout this Blue Dragon investment (beep)…..yeah, I want the whole truth…..and second someone over there gone need to explain goddamn Robin Reborn’s contract situation to me because this Mother(beeper) pushing buttons”

*Scene change and Tyler Roth and Scott Harris are finishing up their training. Both men are talking up their respective matches in the “Road to Royalty” tournament. Harris is ready for whatever Clarke James can pull and Tyler Roth cannot wait to get his hands on Marty Helms. Harris jokes that maybe they’ll meet one another in the finals. Roth says if that happens….the best man will come out on top….but then he doubles down and says Harris knows he doesn’t give a damn about the tournament and tonight he gets even with Helms. He tells Harris to watch his back, win the tournament, and it’ll be an honour to face him for the world title down the line. The two men shake hands as the scene ends.

*Rex Adamson is not happy after being one upped by Cassidy. He storms into the “Talent Relations” office where Drake Cabowers is talking with Diablo. Rex says he’s here because he will face anyone, anytime but he wants Cassidy in the quarter finals of the “Road to Royalty”. Diablo says that Drake already made the draw and that’s a no can do scenario unfortunately. Rex wants to know who he is facing and Drake moves his hand so that Adamson can see the draw….Rex looks down and says “Easy work” before slamming the door on his way out. Diablo looks at Drake and says "You're such a people pleaser"

*Back to Christy James and she is re-applying her makeup. She seems to be going through a speech to herself and then takes a deep breath and once again we see her making her way toward her husband’s dressing room. She is halfway down the corridor when the door opens and we see Gazzy and Kristal exit and head in the opposite direction, laughing and Kristal leaning into Gazzy. Christy looks dejected and then pulls out her phone. She dials and then raises it to her ear…..”Uryu, Hi….I’m so sorry what happened to you out there tonight….I hope nothing too serious? You sure? I was just wondering if you’d like to grab something to eat after the show…..yeah? Tim recommended this great place…..ok, great….see you then, bye”…..Christy bites her lip and looks a little torn as she walks away.

*Marty Helms looks angry to be on media duties with Jack Reynolds. Helms says Reynolds can (beep) off and he knows he touches himself to Tyler Roth's training videos so he better not put those hands anywhere near him unless he wants them removing. Reynolds asks about tonight but Helms shuts him down and says he doesn't even deserve to interview the world champion. Helms says tonight this whole (beeping) facade about Tyler Roth being a bada55 comes to an end. Marty (beeping) Helms ain't some washed up, loser, MMA fighter....he says if Roth had been any good he's have won the UFC Championship like Marshall Murdoch did but instead he was scraping gold in the minor leagues like a chump....Helms says this is the big leagues and he's the big (beeping) dog that runs the yard....tonight Roth is getting put down for good and then after that, whoever wants it can get it.....Make-A-Wishida is target number one....but Gazzy may as well not have a D can get it.....Roth's boyfriend Needs More Personality can get it...Helms doesn't give a (beep)...come one, come all and the result is the same....Helms says there isn't a living being that can take this title away from him.

6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 26th June 2023 (Episode 6) Empty Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 26th June 2023 (Episode 6)

Bout 7
Road to Royalty Qualifier
Clarke James vs Scott Harris

*Scott Harris makes his entrance to a wild ovation from the crowd in attendance. This is Harris’ first action since the disappointment of “From the Ashes” and he looks in tremendous shape as he makes his way across the ramp and leaps into the ring. Harris paces back and forth, clearly eager to get going, as he awaits his opponent. The commentators talk about how Harris is looking to bounce back from his controversial loss to Eddy Kent and how a huge run in the “Road to Royalty” tournament would certainly turn his fortunes around and put him back on track for a world championship opportunity.

*Jeff Thadeus talks about how, in a lot of people’s minds, this is the tie of the round and Harris’ couldn’t have drawn a tougher opponent. RJ wonders what kind of mindset Clarke James is in after the “hearing” at the beginning of the show and that nobody is actually sure if Clarke James is still here, citing that nobody has seen him. Jeff Thadeus is also unsure of Clarke James’ motivations seeing as though he already has his match with Acer at “Against the Wall”. Harris continues to wait before Ari Goldstein, Clarke James’ attorney, makes his way onto the stage, to which he is met by a cacophony of boos.

*Goldstein waits for the crowd noise to die down and then he goes on record to say that his client, Clarke James, is unfortunately not in the correct headspace to fulfil his contracted match here tonight. He has already spoken with VIP Promotions and they have produced a waiver for CJ to renege on tonight’s “Road to Royalty” Qualifier. Goldstein says that Clarke James would like to offer his sincerest apologies to Scott Harris but he hopes Harris can understand what James is having to deal with at the moment. The statement continues with Clarke James stating that he wishes to put all of this “ill feeling” with the board behind him and hopes to resurrect his career from next week without the pressuring of being ostracised by those in charge. Harris is rolling his eyes now as Goldstein bids the crowd farewell and exits.

*The commentators talk about this whole Clarke James saga is going too far and that action needs to be taken. Jeff Thadeus states that CJ seems to have the Board over a barrel and is enjoying making them dance to his tune. RJ wonders how JJ Johnson and Acer are feeling right now as we edge closer to “Against the Wall”

*Harris turns to the referee now, who signals for the bell and Harris is declared the victor via a forfeit. Harris looks less than impressed as the commentators talk about how Harris will be the freshest quarter finalist. Jeff Thadeus plays devils’ advocate, however, and mentions that Harris hasn’t wrestled since “From the Ashes” and wonders if that will play a role when he comes to compete.

*Harris prepares to leave when he is attacked from behind by Cassidy, who lashes a cattle branding iron across the spine of his rival. RJ reveals that Cassidy is Harris’ opponent in the Quarter Finals and it seems he is looking to give himself the advantage. He stomps down on Harris and then chokes him with the iron as the crowd boo. Cassidy looks slightly crazed as he beckons Harris back up and then nails the “Purification” (Judas Effect) elbow strike. He then rolls from the ring and he has a brand to attach to his iron. We can’t see the word on it but he looks delighted at what he is about to do.

*Young Cody Walker suddenly sprints out to the ring, much to the crowd’s delight, and he springboards into the ring with a flying dropkick which sends Cassidy rolling under the bottom rope to the outside. Cassidy looks embarrassed and furious as Walker beckons for him to get back in. Harris makes it to his feet now and he thanks Walker for his interruption as Cassidy points the brand at them both and we see the word “Pride” just as we did last week.

*The commentators hype up the Cassidy-Harris showdown as Cody Walker checks up on Harris and the action then heads backstage.

6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 26th June 2023 (Episode 6) Empty Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 26th June 2023 (Episode 6)

Post by JJJohnson Mon 26 Jun 2023, 7:56 pm

*JJ is sitting in the Board room once more and it is clear he has Trevor Abrahams on speaker phone as Alex Walker comes into the room.

JJ: Trev….I get it, I do….VIP Promotions got a board, a board that I built, and you got a duty to make executive decisions and all that (beep) but seriously….cmon now….this whole mental health bull(beep) and we’re just accepting that? Fool be playing us, man….he’s no showing events now, mother(beeper) was supposed to have a match five minutes ago..

Trev: JJ...it’s bound by law….he’s got medical notes….so unless you want this to become legal….

*JJ rolls his eyes and looks at Walker, who shows sympathy

JJ: Aight, I see how it be….look, Trev, I got another call waiting….I’ll catch up with you tomo’…..yeah?

Trev: Goodnight, JJ…

*JJ hangs up the call and then picks up the phone. After a few moments as his expression changes and we learn it is Acer on the other end. JJ says he’ll be right there and he slams the phone down.

JJ: MOTHER(BEEPER)

*Walker wants to know if everything is ok but JJ says he needs to go. He knows it’s asking a lot but can Walker take care of things from this end. Walker agrees, of course no questions asked he says….JJ thanks him and rushes out. Walker has thoughtful look on his face.

*We see an open door and the cameras manage to capture Drake Cabowers and Johnny Oko sat at a table with many of Oko’s “guard” surrounding them. Oko is less than impressed with what is going on and demands answers from Drake in regards to his “guard” being banned from ringside etc. Drake says it is out of his hands but brings news of more unrest in the Boardroom and the possibility of more “Chikara”….Oko is interested in this as Drake explains JJ-Brandi situation and now Christy James is having second thoughts. Oko wants as much evidence as possible before he makes any moves and Drake assures him he will get it. Oko calls for his “Katana” and he looks at Drake and warns him of what awaits him if he fails again.

*Uryu is interviewed before leaving the building. Clarissa wants to ask about why Eddy Kent didn’t pin him when he had chance and whether he believes Kent is next in line for a title shot. Uryu says he’s sure it was some kind of mind game from Kent but if he wants a shot at the title all he had to do is ask but Ishida is a fighting champion. Kent suddenly storms into shot with a ferocious brogue kick that wipes Uryu off of his feet. Kent kneels over Uryu and tells him that is how it will be to take the title from him, “One Genesis Kick and done”…...Kent says tonight he showed that he controls when Uryu loses and that time is fast approaching.

*The screen shows the quarter final brackets for next week’s Road to Royalty.

Cassidy vs Scott Harris

GazzyD vs Mike Hill

O'Callaghan vs Rex Adamson

Johnny Oko vs Marty Helms/Tyler Roth

*Scene change one last time as Tyler Roth drops his weights and heads out of the door. Marty Helms is standing there, waiting for him. Helms adjusts the 6WF Champion on his shoulder and he wants Roth to take a long look because this is the last time he gets to compete in a match with Helms. Helms tells Roth that tonight he will lay “The Reaper” to rest for good and there will be no questions whatsoever about who the superior man really is. Roth just stares at the world champion, who clicks his tongue and walks away.

6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 26th June 2023 (Episode 6) Empty Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 26th June 2023 (Episode 6)

Post by JJJohnson Mon 26 Jun 2023, 8:00 pm

The sound of gagged screams starts to fill the arena.

RJ: What is going on???

The lights go out.

The video screen static flickers
5.....
4....
3...
2..
1.

A shadow of an imposing figure is seen walking across gravel as the stones break beneath his feet as he approaches an abandoned warehouse

A beam of light shines in through the dilapidated roof onto a body hanging upside from the rafters as the figure slowly approaches and removes the bag from over her head and removes the gag from her mouth leading to her screaming.

?????: Go ahead they'll never hear you...

???: Why are you doing this?

The figure takes off his jacket running his hand through his long-matted hair and picks up a baseball bat and drags it along the broken concrete before squatting by her head gripping her long blonde hair as he stares into her piercing blue eyes.

?????: Because they need to learn, these are not people you can reason with because they don't understand.

?????: So, the only solution is pain because we all understand pain.

The figure walks around her as she tries to plead with him.

?????: You're just the start of this, just a small cog in a world of deceitful liars and half-truths.

?????: One by One they shall learn but for now it's your turn and history will tell you, you can't escape fate.

Her screams fill the abandoned warehouse before a loud thump as the sound of the baseball bat cracking her skull takes over leaving a silence of blood dripping to the ground

The screen goes dark as it flashes

How long? Will you hide yourself forever?

6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 26th June 2023 (Episode 6) Empty Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 26th June 2023 (Episode 6)

Main Event
Road to Royalty Qualifier
Marty Helms vs Tyler Roth

We head back out to ringside and the crowd are pumped as Michael Bird has stepped up into the ring to make the introductions.

Michael Bird: Ladies and gentlemen it is time for the Main Event of the evening!

*Crowd pop

Michael Bird: This will be the final first round match of the Road to Royalty tournament…..with a fifteen minute time limit!

JT: The great Michael Bird with the intro but I don’t even think that’s going to do it justice….

RJ: How much can you hype what we are about to see? Listen to this crowd and you will understand…..two weeks ago these two men contested the 6WF World Heavyweight Championship….Tyler Roth wants another shot, Marty Helms has said he has to earn it….the dice of fate has now thrown them together again in this tournament….

JT: Helms has one eye on becoming Undisputed…..Roth wants his re-match after the highly controversial finish to their first clash…..

“Riot” screams out as the giant form of Tyler Roth strides out onto the stage. Roth rips his vest off and tosses it aside before marching across the walkway to the ring…

RJ: Tyler Roth, as ever, is in the mood for a fight…

JT: That’s Roth’s MO….he is a warrior, a throwback….we saw it last week when he came out here and went to war with Marty Helms….we saw it at “From the Ashes” when he and Helms put each other through hell for the world title...and we are quite clearly going to see it again tonight…

RJ: Roth has been very outspoken about tonight’s match….he says he doesn’t care for the rules of the tournament, he just wants to fight and he wants to hurt Marty Helms….Roth sees tonight as his opportunity to prove there is only one rightful challenger for the 6WF World Heavyweight Championship…

JT: But we also know Marty Helms has no fear….he welcomes this battle with Tyler Roth….

RJ: He’s the 6WF Champion….Marty Helms is never going to shy away from any threat or challenge….

Roth is in the ring, twisting his hands, as “Remedy” screeches out and is met by boos from the crowd in attendance. Marty Helms quickly walks out through the entranceway….

JT: At “From the Ashes” Marty Helms had his nose broken within a minute by Tyler Roth...he was a busted mess but he took everything that “The Reaper” could throw at him and he still had enough to come out victorious….that’s what sets Helms apart and what makes him elite…..because you look at Tyler Roth, one of the greatest combat sports fighters in history, and the fact very few can even stand toe to toe with him but Helms did and not only that but he won…

Helms suddenly throws the 6WF Title aside as Roth leaps out onto the walkway and runs toward him. They meet head on and start to unload with huge punches…

RJ: They’re so close to us up here….I don’t like this, usually we have the protection of being away from the ring…

Helms is sent off balance by a huge right hand from Roth. He bends down and grabs the 6WF title belt and looks to spin around and nail Roth with it but Roth storms into him with a crunching takedown, slamming him onto the steel stage…

JT: Just like at “From the Ashes”….Roth has taken Marty Helms down with ease…

Helms is trying to wriggle and struggle free as Roth smashes down at his head with huge punches and forearms. Roth grabs the front of Helms’ hair and drives in with another brutal forearm…

RJ: And there goes the nose again...it cannot be fully healed…

JT: It hasn’t healed at all now…

RJ: And Roth said tonight he wouldn’t let the referee break the action for a doctor or for a towel to mop the blood…

JT: Well this match hasn’t even started yet so nothing can be done anyway…

The referee is out on the stage and is trying to reason with Roth but he stands up and shoves the official away. He then grabs Marty Helms by the head…

*Crowd boo

RJ: Helms has shown time and again that he respects no rules anyways…

Helms lands a flush punch straight between Roth’s legs and doubles him up. He then picks up his title belt and he slams it into the side of Roth’s head, sending him staggering toward the 6CW Announce Table…

JT: Time for us to relocate, RJ….

Roth is leant across the table as Helms rushes toward him and swings the belt at his head again….

RJ: The table didn’t break…

Roth ducks the shot and in the same movement lifts Helms into an urange slam and crashes him down on top of the table. Roth lets out a roar as he picks up the title belt and stares at it…

JT: That’s what Tyler Roth wants….that’s what he covets…

RJ: And he’s looking to send the most severe of messages to the champion….just like he did at “From the Ashes”…...THE REAPING ON OUR TABLE!

Roth climbs up onto the table and he pulls Helms into the back suplex position. He readies to flip him over and catch him for the powerbomb but Helms flips right out onto his feet and then he jams his thumb into Roth’s eye as he turns around…

JT: All’s fair in love and war…..MY GOD...THEY’RE BROKEN!

Crowd: Holy (beep) x10

RJ: HELMS HIT THE INFINITY EDGE AND DESTROYED ROTH THROUGH OUR TABLE!

The “Project Ciampa” lands as Helms’ knees smash up into Roth’s spine and they both wreck the announce table, leaving wreckage and devastation in their wake.

JT: Marty Helms just annihilated Tyler Roth…..many may have predicted something else happening here tonight but the 6WF Champion is showing what he’s all about…

RJ: And he’s looking to end proceedings the same way he did at From the Ashes….BLOODTHIRSTER!

Helms crawls out of the wreckage of the table, blood running freely from his nose, and he screams at Roth to get up. Roth can barely get on his knees as Helms sprints toward him for the deadly punt to the skull…...CRACK!

JT: Helms didn’t see it coming….

RJ: Roth said he’s learnt and I guess he has….he knows Helms doesn’t fight fair….so why should he?

Roth picks up a steel chair and swings it into the knees of Helms as he rushes forward. Roth gets up, looking furious and he jabs the chair into Helms’ gut before smashing it across his spine. Helms drops to his knees, his face showing pain, and then Roth twirls the chair in his hands…..SMACK!

JT: MY LORD!

The chair bends and the top panel snaps as Roth smashes the chair across the back of Helms’ skull, leaving him in a heap on the floor. Roth launches the weapon away…

RJ: These two are supposed to be contesting a first round match for the Road to Royalty….but we still haven’t had a bell…

JT: Because they haven’t got into the ring….

Roth stares down at Helms and then he walks into the back, disappearing from view, before reappearing with three tables in his huge arms. The crowd are going wild as Roth begins to set the tables up. He sets two side by side and then lifts the third on the top of them….

RJ: What on earth is Tyler Roth thinking here?

JT: I have absolutely no idea but it cannot be good….no good can come of this…

Roth disappears into the back again and this time he returns with another steel chair. He watches Marty Helms, who is trying to get back up, and then he draws the chair back and swings it...CRACK!

RJ: If that had landed it would have broke his skull….I have no doubts….

Helms’ ducks and the chair smashes against the steel stage structure. Helms kicks out at the gut of Roth and then delivers a DDT on the solid steel stage. He crawls up and he drags Roth so that he is slumped across one of the tables and then grabs the chair…..CRACK!

JT: My word….this is insane….

RJ: And what the hell is Helms thinking now?

Helms slams the chair down into the back of Roth’s head and neck, leaving him flat across the tables, underneath the one over the top. Helms then backs away…

Helms: Stupid son of a (beep)….think you can challenge me? Think you can stand with me? You’re not on my level you piece of (beep)….now you’re finished….you’re over…

JT: Marty Helms has the most evil of intentions here…

RJ: We know it resides within him….we know he will do anything….

6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 26th June 2023 (Episode 6) Empty Re: 6CWF Presents Proving Grounds Results - 26th June 2023 (Episode 6)

Post by JJJohnson Mon 26 Jun 2023, 8:02 pm

Helms backs against the steel entranceway and then he looks up at the platform that runs over the front, around ten foot off the stage floor. Helms looks down at Roth again before starting to climb….

JT: I really don’t like the look of this at all….we need security here….we need something…

RJ: OH MY GOD!

Helms reaches the platform and he is on his knees, preparing to stand, when Tyler Roth staggers off the tables and he launches the steel chair up through the air and it collides with Helms’ head…

JT: What a throw….Helms didn’t get his hands up in time…

RJ: I don’t think it landed clean but it was enough to daze him….

JT: And now Roth is climbing…..The Reaper is coming for his soul…

Roth is up on the highest struts now and he aims a huge right hand which almost knocks Helms out. Roth then gets up on the platform…

RJ: I’m not sure if I can watch this…..The 6WF Champion and Tyler Roth are quite literally on the periphery of death here….

JT: I hope the EMT’s are ready….

Roth grabs Helms and seems to be preparing him for the “Capital Punishment” (Shellshock) but Helms fights off and lands three huge forearm/elbow smashes that send Roth to the very edge of the platform. Helms then spits at Roth and rushes forward for another elbow smash…

RJ: He shouldn’t have spit…...OH DEAR LORD ALMIGHTY THEY’RE DONE….IT’S OVER…..IT’S FINISHED!

Roth’s right hand flies out and tightens around Helms’ throat. He stares into the eyes of the world champion and then shakes his head. He whips him around into a flying sit-down chokeslam that sends both men off the platform and they crash through the three tables that leaves them both unmoving on the stage…

Crowd: Holy (beep) Holy (beep) Holy (beep)

JT: I….I DON’T THINK I HAVE EVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THAT….

RJ: ROTH HAS KILLED THE 6WF CHAMPION….HE HAS TO HAVE….

JT: HE MAY HAVE FINISHED HIMSELF TOO….

EMT’s storm out immediately from the back followed by members of the production crew, referees and security. We see Christy James and Diablo there, both looking extremely concerned about what has just happened…

RJ: I don’t even know what to say….or where to begin….for the last ten minutes all we have witnessed is pure carnage….Roth and Helms have beaten each other senseless and it has ended in the most outrageous way….

JT: Helms climbed up that platform, his nose streaming with blood, and he had every intention of ending the whole saga with Tyler Roth but Roth had other ideas…..The Reaper rose and he went high….they teetered on the edge of disaster, and then….well look at it, look at what has happened…..

RJ: A ten foot fall, three tables….solid steel stage…..

JT: We knew these two would come out here to tear chunks out of one another but none of us could have predicted this….how could we have known?

RJ: There’s no way we could….this was suppose to be a first round match in the Road to Royalty but I think the road just met a dead end….

JT: These two men are going to need some serious medical attention….I mean I hope the ambulances are waiting in the back because it needs to be immediate……...OH MY GOD!

RJ: THIS IS BEYOND ANYTHING….I MEAN ANYTHING…

The whole crowd are stunned as a team of medics have somehow helped Marty Helms up. Helms’ legs are jelly, there is blood all over his face and running down the side of his head from the fall. They stumble as they struggle to keep Helms upright. Tyler Roth, whose head is also bleeding, pulls from the wreckage of the table with an angry expression and then he runs forward and tackles Helms with so much power that both men fly off the side of the stage and they land through another stack of tables and on production cases and electric equipment, sparking an explosion….

JT: DEAR LORD ALMIGHTY…..BY GOD WE NEED MORE ASSISTANCE!

RJ: Roth and Helms are done…..this is insane…

There are shocked looks in the crowd as a fire extinguisher is used to douse the smoking electrical equipment and then we get a shot of Roth and Helms, who are completely motionless….

JT: I don’t really think there is a lot we can say here….these two men are so hell bent on destroying each other that this is the end product…

RJ: And they don’t give a damn who is hurt in the process….I hate to say it but one of the EMT’s was knocked off the side of the stage at the same time and it looks like his leg has broken….

JT: Casualties of the most hellacious of wars….Helms and Roth….this surely cannot be allowed to continue….the Board are gonna have to act….

RJ: But what action do you take? Can Roth and Helms really be allowed to share a ring again?

JT: I really don’t know….I really don’t even know what to say….folks we have reached the end of tonight’s broadcast and all we can do is leave you with the pictures of the mayhem we have just witnessed….

The show comes to a close as we see an EMT being wheeled out by his colleagues as another team of EMT’s work out the best strategy to get Roth and Helms to the hospital. Christy James and Diablo are mobilising security so that neither man is able to get at the other. There is a lot of concerned faces as the crowd continue to go wild and the picture fades.
