To be fair there have been plenty of comments about potential officiating errors in other matches ...

Yeah certainly a foul. I was surprised by how quick Carling made the call.formerly known as Sam wrote:LeinsterFan4life wrote:You're supposed to wrap when you make a tackle... It was a clear PTmikey_dragon wrote:LeinsterFan4life wrote:Fiji absolutely robbed of a half time lead. So infuriating.
Oh for god’s sake how are they robbed? We get people saying this on every Wales match thread.
There was no attempt to make a legal tackle there. Not sure PT as there were other tacklers there. Given where it took place it could have been a yellow card. I can only assume Carley misheard what the TMO said and thought he said there was arms and not no arms. Such a blatant bit of foul play.

I was thinking more the likes of Collapse laughing at a Welsh player going for a HIA

That said, the clear forward pass invited a lot of pressure too.
Refs miss a lot early. We all know the officials at the best competition in the world are substandard.
Wales are playing all wrong. I love wainwright, but he’s not doing anything and we need a physical six really.

Happens at almost every collision, only now you want it sorted? There was nothing in it, the player dived over the tackler.

There's been a few forward passes missed this opening weekend.RiscaGame wrote:Elias should be on a yellow. I did think it might be a PT, but you can’t say with any certainty that he scores without Elias’ intervention. I did think the Fijian jumped too at first, but not sure of that now.

I'm not sure Rowland's is stopping that without Elias.
It's done now though.
Wales are playing much smarter now. The coaches have clearly driven the game plan back into them.

It wouldn’t be a bad idea for Biggar to go off. He doesn’t have the temperament for this one, plus his tackling and kicking isn’t up to scratch.

Fiji are missing Muntz so much. He added that control and structure from 10 that Fiji had missed since Nicky Little retired. Lomani and Muntz were looking like their best ever halfback pairing.

Yes a hammer blow before the tournament. He's also a great place kicker unlike the others.king_carlos wrote:Huge from Adams to be fair.

Strongly agree on this, losing him has been a body blow to their chances at the tournament. He’s exactly what they’ve been needing to help control and direct their play for a long time. Such a shame!

As I'm sure you can't and have seen a lot of it this tournament so far when defending the try line

Carley bottled that like he bottled the no arms tackle in the first half.

He's looked a bit of a liability in defence but he's led the kicking game that's got Wales on top this half. The Baabaas stuff they were trying in the first half stamped out.

Wales killed the ball about five times the other end, dreadful refereeing.
