The push was well deserved, Schoeman should have been carded though. Dangerous from him.

I think the most embarrassing thing is Ireland are taking off their key players to save them for the bigger games.

Gordon D'arcy on commentary is just a bit too Dublin smug for my liking.

This in a microcosm in why this display is so disappointing. Tap and go and knock on, undoing so much hard work.

What is with TV companies wanting to show emotional fans of teams that are losing? Is it really necessary like, leave the poor people alone.

Look we’re getting stuffed. Today outplayed. But why are Ireland getting off with soooooo many offsides and coming in at the side at the breakdowns????

That's a very sexy little kick from Crowley. I'm swelling up a bit. Not quite half chub but the anti climax of the match in general had created an unfairly flaccid starting point.

In that case he has no excuse. I didn't say he was born in Dublin.

Toonie has to take the fall for this one.
We need to move forward with a coach who can get us out of this funk against the big boys.

We got a few right good pumpings off SA and NZ in the 90s. We've never conceded 70 (yet).

Agreed but also we need to just perform better against them.
Not necessarily wins but actually compete. This is just abysmal

Lol. Its silly to put anything above Abe such as supporting Scotland. You'll only be disappointed otherwise..

If Smith was a kiwi or a saffer he'd be dropped for quite a while after such a petulant and selfish act.

Think Ireland will dust off the QF bogey this year, they’re the best team but also extremely confident since that series win in NZ. I don’t think Wales would get passed them or NZ in a semi, assuming we beat Arg or Japan.

Hard luck to Scotland, pity to see a team go out that has deserved more. If they had been in Group C or D they would be in a quarter final now. They will learn from this one no doubt and will be back strong in the 6 nations.
For Ireland, all we have to do now is beat the All Black's to make the semi's. How hard can it be, right?

Congrats Ireland. Well worth the win by some margin
Fair play to the majority of Irish fans here for not rubbing our noses in it. Only seen a few snaps but they were in response to some Scottish wums.
Best wishes going forward. As long as you spank the blackness we’ll still be cousins.

We all thought the selection was a bit iffy for this one but if Watson, Harris, redpath, or Healy had been on would the result have been much different?

I reckon if Ireland beat the ABs they may go all the way. Will need Lowe and Hansen fit and ready for that game though. It will be like a final.

Re: Ireland vs Scotland
Well done Ireland - absolutely annihilated us and barely broke sweat doing so.
No Scotland fan really expected a win but we did want to at least see progress in competitiveness against a big nation. That didn't happen and if anything we went backwards.
On the plus side watching the sunrise over Hobart was a pretty good backdrop to the game!

Well done Ireland from here in Greece as well.
The locals in the Irish pub seemed to be supporting Scotland out of pity I suspect but the Ireland team did not shiw any of that and why should they.
Best of luck for the rest of the WC, harder tests thsn Scotland await!

Listening to that interview I think it’s safe to say the Scottish pre-match bravado was noticed by the men in Green, Kinghorn would do well to reflect on his comments. Congrats to them, they were superb but rarely had to get out of 3rd gear.
Genuinely embarrassed by that performance last night, not taking the points when on offer in that first 20m was stupid, naive and in truth arrogant. I didn’t expect a win, I think we play that game 100 times and win 5, but to play like we did in that first half was utterly abject, even more so after all the talk before hand.
Not sure where we go from here really, and looking at our pipeline of players coming through I’m concerned things are not going to get any better.
