SL
Wigan where by far the best team last year, after solid recruitment can anyone get near them. Will Hull KR & Leigh continue on from last year's decent seasons, will the sleeping giants (yes Hull, Leeds and Warrington this is you) wake up. And who will be the surprise package.

Championship. 
This is in my opinion the best league. Genuine competition at the top and for the play off places.  Even the bottom could be as tight as last year.

League one.
Unfortunately not as competitive in my opinion, after the drama of the off season, hard to see beyond Oldham doing what Dewsbury did last year and walking away with it. Competing for the play off places could be interesting. 

NRL.
Can anyone stop Penrith (who've won 4 grand finals in a row).

And what should be a fascinating and great game of rugby league in the World club game as Wigan face Penrith.

Hull improved in the 2nd half, but god they were woeful in the 1st.. Rovers were clinical and as with last week won it by ht., good job we Don't have a kicker. Wasn't much of a Derby to kick off Derby weekend (or close rivals).

In the other SL game,
St Helens best Wigan 12-4, in a scrappy game.

In the championship. 
Bradford get a great result, beating Halifax 29-10. Whitehaven beat Barrow 23-22. Wakefield win again, this time at Featherstone 20-12. Dewsbury  beat Batley 24-4 in a great win. Sheffield continue there fine form winning at Doncaster 26-20, and Widnes beat Swinton 28-10.

In League 1.
Keighley continue there fantastic start by winning at Hunslet 42-14.

In the NRL.
Brisbane stuff North Queensland 38-12. And South Sydney beat Canterbury 20-16.

Yesterday's games. 

In SL
Catalans get an excellent win at Warrington 32-24, in an exciting game. Salford also win beating Leigh 32-22.

In League 1.
Newcastle lose at home to Workington 48-18.

In the NRL.
St George win against Manly 20-12. And Solphins win at Gold Coast 30-14.

Final games of Easter weekend. 

In SL.
London lose again, this time to Huddersfield 26-6.

In the championship. 
Toulouse get a good win at York 20-14.

Oldham win big v Rochdale 54-16. North Wales beat Midland 20, -14.

Melbourne and Brisbane serve up another highly entertaining game, which Melbourne just win 34-32.

The big result what Wheldon rd. As Castleford win there 1st game of the season beating Salford 36-24. Warrington get a good win at Leeds 34-8. Hull KR  continue there recent good form beating London Broncos 50-10. 

In the NRL.
Canterbury beat Sydney Roosters 30-26. Newcastle beat St George 30-10 (St george 2nd try is from a wonderful pass). Both these games where played in absolute torrential rain.

I am not greatly surprised by Wire winning at Leeds, the margin however is a different matter.

I do feel very much for London.

Hull FC v Huddersfield as I type, the final score not in but the result pretty well is currently 10 - 40, ouch.

Catalans v Saints later should be a cracker.

Finished 56-22 to Huddersfield.  Fc again woeful in the 1st half, they really are a poor team. 
As for London, they were on a hiding to nothing before, than img just crushed them. Though last night they just seemed defensively naive (like Hall's try). Probably wrong year to go up.

The big result so far happened in the championship. 
As Swinton travel to Toulouse and pull off a 20-14 win. 

In the NRL.
Manly get a good win v Penrith 32-18. Dolphins beat West Tigers 26-16. And South Sydney who have been poor, continue that vain by losing to New Zealand Warriors 34-4.

In the NCL premier league. 
The 2 most dominant forces of recent years Weat Hull & Hunslet, just keeping winning.

The result of the day was at post office Rd, where Bradford beat Featherstone away 24-14 for an excellent win. Sheffield continue there fine form winning at Whitehaven 42-16. Wakefield win again 42-6 at Doncaster. Barrow beat York 15-14, and Halifax beat Batley 18-10. Widnes get an away win at Dewsbury 24-6.

In League one. 
Oldham put down a marker, winning 62-0 at Hunslet. North Wales inflict the latest defeat on Newcastle 58-18, and Workington beat Rochdale 32-22.

In the NRL.

Parramatta get stuffed in Canberra 41-8. And North Queensland beat Gold Coast 35-22.

Great result for Swinton, not many win there.

Quite surprised that York lost.

Not sure what to makof York, on paper they have a good squad. But semi to be struggling on the pitch.

Sydney Roosters hold of a late comeback to win at Newcastle 22-20.

Brisbane win the Brisbane Derby, beating Dolphins 28-14. Melbourne scrape a victory against Canterbury 16-14.

Today's games. 

In the challenge Cup quarter finals. 
Huddersfield pull off a big shock, winning at Catalans 34-6. And Hull KR see off holders Leigh 26-14 after an exciting 2nd half.

In the championship. 
Bradford follow up last week's win at Featherstone with another impressive victory, this time beating Toulouse 19-12.

In the NRL.
South Sydney's bad start to the season continued, losing at home to Cronulla 34-22. Newcastle & Manly fight out a 22 all draw, in which both half's were mirrors of each other. And Parramatta beat North Queensland 27-20.

Huddersfield.....wow didn't see that coming at all. Looking forward to seeing highlights of both QF's.

Warrington pull off a fantastic win, beating St Helens in St Helens 31-8. Wigan meanwhile gain an expected victory 60-6 at Castleford. 
The semi final draw, see's a repeat of last seasons semi as Hull KR get Wigan, meanwhile Huddersfield face Warrington. 

Un the championship. 
Wakefield win 50-6 at York.  Featherstone also get a good away win 46-4 at Doncaster. Widnes get a big win v Halifax 40-14. Sheffield roll on, winning at Swinton 22-4.Batley win at Whitehaven 25-12. Meanwhile in South Cumbria,  Barrow win 27-20 v Dewsbury.

Hull FC are still hammered despite sacking the coach, this time at At Helens 58_0. Huddersfield get a great win at Leeds 30-24. And Wigan beat Castleford for the 3rd time this season so far 36-14.

In the NRL.
Dolphins get a great win at Parramatta 44-16. And St George continue there good start beating New Zealand warriors 30-12.

Saturdays games.

SL. 
The big game turned into a disappointing one sided affair, with Catalans win 36-6 against Hull KR. The other 2 games where tight affairs. Salford came back from the capital with 2 points after a 12-4 win at London Broncos.  And Warrington beat Leigh 16-14.

 The Championship. 
Toulouse after losing there last 2 games bounced back with a big win 40-4 v Whitehaven. 

NRL. 
Brisbane after an excellent 1st half, beat Canberra 34-10. Manly win at Gold Coast 34-30. And Penrith beat West Tigers 22-6.

Today's games. 

Championship. 
York get there 1st win of the season, perhaps surprisingly beating Bradford 25-14.
Wakefield continue winning,  this time at Batley 34-14. Near neighbours Featherstone also win 32-24 against Widnes. Sheffield put on a masterful away performance in thrashing Halifax 36-0. Doncaster return from South Cumbria with a great win 38-6. Swinton also get a good win, beating Dewsbury 50-22. 

League 1.
Rochdale win a good game at Notth Wales 37-36. Workington also get a great away win, at Hunslet 30-18. Keighley stuff Newcastle in Newcastle 82-6. And Midlands stuff Cornwall in Cornwall 72-6.

NRL. 
Neither were close games, as Cronulla easily beat North Queensland 42-6. And Canterbury also win fairly easily, beating Newcastle 36-12.

Wakefield have Toulouse then Sheffield, the latter might offer their biggest challenge to date.

St Helens win a tight game 13-12 against Huddersfield. 

NRL. 
Sydney Roosters put there recent indifferent form behind them as they stuff St George away 60-18. Melbourne continue there fine form easily beating South Sydney 54-20. Gold Coast win away in New Zealand at the Warriors 27-24.

Leigh get a great result, beating Catalans 30-2. Hull KR also get a good result,  beating Wigan 26-10. And Castleford get an expected win against London Broncos 40-0.

NRL.
Manly beat Parramatta 32-18.

Saturday;

Salford continue to prove doubters wrong, beating Warrington 17 - 12.

Toulouse push Wakefield but the home side run out 28 - 12 winners at Belle Vue

In League 1 Oldham record a reasonably comfortable win at Midlands 44 - 16, IMO the latter deserving a lot of credit for their performance.

League 1

Hunslet beat North Wales 22-22-14. Rochdale give Keighley a scare before losing 42-30 at home. Workington beat Cornwall 52-18.

NRL
Cronulla get a very impressive win at Canberra 40-0. Newcastle also get a good away win at Dolphins 18-14. Penrith also get an away win 26-20 at North Queensland.. Brisbane also get an away win at West tigers 34-10.


Wakefield could get a test this week at Sheffield, who at the moment are the most consistent of the rest. Halifax are a suprise, yes injuries but i still expected them to be better.
League 1 is basically a 2 horse race betwewn Keighley & Oldham.
