Re: Norwich City News Thread
Peterborough have been put off buying Cody Mcdonald from City because of the believed transfer fee of more than £550,000
Mcdonald has made 32 apperances for city scoring 5 goals and last year while on loan with Gillingham making 43 starts and scoring 23 goals.

Re: Norwich City News Thread
Haha. I saw the Newcastle one and I thought there must be one for Norwich.
At the start of the season I had a tenner with 3 of my mates that Holt would score more than 10 in the Prem so barring any injuries I am going to 30 quid in the good.
I look forward to keep bigging up NCFC on posts. I'll always try and get Grant Holt in there!!!

Apparantly we are interested in Maynard. Lambert sent scouts to watch him score winner against Millwall.
Also Ipswich are interested in Crofts and Wilbraham. Crofts is very unlikely to leave.
Wilbraham might be allowed to leave on loan. They can have him. Jewell has lost it.

Rhodes would be amazing for the future despite him being ex scum. Idiots only sold him for about 100,000. Well done on selling their future for Jason Scotland!!
I'm not too sure on Maynard, he seems to be a bit inconsistent to me.
Rodriguez is going to be too expensive I fear. Apparantly Burnley want 7 million for him.

Jonny Howson should be on his way to Norfolk. Should be a good signing-young player, has leadership qualities and looks to be very promising.
I'd like to see Oxlade-Chamberlain come in but I think that loan will be a goalkeeper now Rudd is out for a couple of months.

Odds to sign Jordan Rhodes from Huddersfield have been slashed from 20-1 to 11-10 with Skybet. http://www.skybet.com/betting/football/transfer-specials/t10003041.html
My god I hope this has some very real truth to it and we can pull off a deal. He would be a great player to intergrate into our side over the years. Plus if he started scoring at Prem level it would really rub the scum up the wrong way!!

Here is the article tooze. Your feedback would be greatly appreciated
Canary Chatter Article
By Oliver Inwards
5 Possible Summer Transfer Targets for Paul Lambert
With only 9 games remaining of what has been an extraordinary season for Norwich I feel it is time that we look towards the summer. With our Premier League safety all but secured, looking to build the squad over the summer will be of great importance to us avoiding the so called ‘second season syndrome’. I will look at 5 players who I feel could improve the squad of players who we already have at the moment. I shall be assuming that Paul Lambert will continue with his transfer policies of bringing in talent form the lower leagues.
1. Jordan Rhodes – Huddersfield. Estimated fee - £4-7 million
Now I have this debate with my friend constantly regarding Rhodes former Ipswich ties. He despises us even considering a former Ipswich player but my feelings on the subject are, if he is a success for us we could rub it in their faces!! Rhodes has so far scored an astonishing 31 league goals for Huddersfield in League 1 this season and is regarded as one of the hottest properties in the Football League. With the likes of Grant Holt and Aaron Wilbraham now in their 30’s, I feel Rhodes is a player we can’t pass up on. At 22 years of age he has his best years ahead of him and he seems to score goals for fun! As much as I like Simeon Jackson, I think Rhodes would be a much better player to have up front with either Holt or Morison. His fee may be a hefty one to pay but he would repay that in terms of his goals.
2. Robert Snodgrass – Leeds. Estimated fee - £5-8 million
With the success of wingers Anthony Pilkington and Elliott Bennett, I have thought at points this season we could do with another winger to take the workload off of them. If one picked up a long term injury we would be without depth in that position. Now Snodgrass is a player that Norwich have shown an interest in before and he would be a player who might slot into our first team straight away. He scores a lot of goals for a wide player something an area of the game in which Bennett in particular struggles. He is tricky but maybe doesn’t have pace in abundance. With Jonny Howson and Bradley Johnson already signed form Leeds, taking their best player again might be too much for their fans to bare. His fee however could prove a stumbling block.
3. Lewis Dunk – Brighton. Estimated fee - £2-4 million.
Now I know the position of centre back is not a priority for us as we have a lot of back up at that position but I think Dunk is an excellent prospect for the future. At the age of 20 he is a regular in the Brighton team and is widely tipped to be a future Premier League star. He may not be ready for first team straight away, which is what might be detraction from signing him because some might think we need more experience at the back. I feel however we need to build for the future while we can and if we sign Dunk we would have Ryan Bennett, Daniel Ayala and Dunk all for the future and Ayala and Bennett for the present. His fee could prove to be a bargain in the long run.
4. Kyle Naughton – Spurs (on loan at Norwich). Estimated fee - £3-5 million
Now this is a photo that I would like to see again next season. Naughton for me is a must buy in the summer. He has proven this season that he is a top class full back, being able to fit in at left back as well as right back. Hell he even looked good at centre back against Bolton! I think you would find it very hard to find any Norwich fans who would dispute this signing, after Naughton’s competent performance’s all season. His availability would more than likely be very available as Spurs already have Kyle Walker at right back so Naughton might be available for a slightly cut price fee.
5. Jay Rodriguez – Burnley. Estimated fee - £5-7 million
Now this is a player who played against us in the cup and impressed me. Rodriguez is a 22 year old centre forward who has good size but also has good speed. He has 21 goals in all competitions this season, which is a good return considering he is playing in an underachieving Burnley side. If Steve Morison fails to recapture his form and is moved on this man would be a good replacement. The stumbling block again is his fee as Burnley have gone on record saying that it would take a “substantial offer” to prize him from their arms.
I have tried to go with young players here, as I think this is the strategy Paul Lambert will use in the summer as he looks to build towards the future.
