Re: ERL Season 4 - Homepage (3)
Just to let you guys know I won't be around much in the next week, I have tones of work to be sorted before the new football season.
So will be busy concentrating and writing on that, will take me a good week or so.
Very busy busy, so that's where I will be turning my focus to tonight as I will be logging off now

Re: ERL Season 4 - Homepage (3)
Thanks for results guys!
Im looking for a top top winger, preferably NZ, but reluctant to lose that much.
Im really surprised that no one has tried to link up and form the big half back combos on here. I would rate Flood/Youngs, FDP/Steyn, Genia/Cooper unbelievably higher then as individuals!

Why?
I prefer to imagine combo's working than actually needing to put a known together. Steyn has been pretty awful this last year so putting him with FDP means nothing to me. I'd also prefer Pull's Genia/Flood to Youngs/Flood with Youngs not been in the best form and Genia sparkling this last 6 months,

Press work for local papers, will be heading to the Hawthorns just to have a nose around and doing plenty of writing about various clubs throughout the week.
Very busy like I said last night, will try and get them in evening time but not counting on it.

I think that Steyn and FDP are better players alongside each other for sure. Get the best out of each other, which would be good right now, as their form is average at best.
Yes i would prefer genia/flood to youngs flood, but genia/cooper would be the dream i would have thought. Best combo in world rugby.

Genia - Carter, probably the best combo actually?

I'd seay Genia/Carter would be a fair bit better than Genia/Cooper as they're the two best players in their position in the world right now. Cooper is a bordering top 5 FH

Interesting. I've been contemplating getting Youngs back to complete Youngs/Flood but much, much prefer Genia. Agree that Genia/Carter is the best half back combo right now, followed closely by Genia/Cooper.

Re: ERL Season 4 - Homepage (3)
Youngs and Flood have had a poor 6 months, esp Youngs. Both are in serious threat of losing their England places. Care was in great form towards the end if the season and Wilko had a fantastic year in the T14.

Re: ERL Season 4 - Homepage (3)
Despite Care and Wilko's form, I think Johnno has to stick with Youngs and Flood. He made his decision 6-12 months ago to go with them and it's too close to the WC to start changing a pivotal area of the park and start casting doubt in people.
Care, in particular, has never impressed me for England. At least with Youngs there's the ability to do something out of the ordinary.

I really want Care to be good, but he just frustrates me. He has worked on his game, but his tendency to crab and take a few steps towards the 10 chokes attacking play

It has to be on the past form. You don't just chuck out the pair of halfbacks that helped win the 6N's. Unless you're welsh or Warren Gatland that is...

Yeah i agree, Im a firm believer of a newcomer having to do way more then is required to oust a good/established player who is the current shirt owner.

Re: ERL Season 4 - Homepage (3)
Agree with that Bath/Pull. Youngs is special but has seriously lacked form, hopefully his layoff will have sorted him out a little.
I'm no Care fan but he's been fantastic for Quins, him and Evans are a cracking combo that would grace many Int teams.

Agree totally on Care/Evans, been wondering if thats a better option then Cowan/Evans for a while and especially when i had Easter. Quins are nothing without those two and Easter. Mind you, most teams would suffer if missing an int level 8 9 10 axis!
