Re: ERL Season 4 - Homepage (3)
After yesterday's little fun activity im down the country today for a longer journey to Brighton.
Will be checking out their new ground aswell as seeing their preperations for the Championship season.
West Brom isn't that far away from Gloucester, about an hours drive.
And im not 15 that was a lie, if I was 15 I wouldn't of been allowed to make an account on 606 and im certainly not putting a fake DOB that's just stupid and sad.
See you guys tomorrow

Re: ERL Season 4 - Homepage (3)
Week 17 Final Results:
Leinster 29 - 21 Biarritz
A clean sweep for the Irish side at home to a transitional Biarritz team. Perhaps Leinster will rue the opportunity to claim a bonus point, as their backs were rampant in the second half.
Ospreys 29 - 17 Toulon
Ospreys continue their fortress like form at home and the result was never in doubt. A very satisfactory performance and the only slight blot will be the frusrtration to not collect the bonus point.
Saracens 31 - 22 Stade
Saracens welcomed Parrisse into their side with a 5 point win at home to Stade. This was the third clean sweep at home in the predictions
Scots 24 - 30 Toulouse
In a week were all the home sides won, Toulouse's bonus point win away to the Scots and off the back of a Heineken Cup Final win is hugely impressive

Very quiet again I see
Had an enjoyable trip to Brighton today, their new ground is something spectacular.
Off to Leicester tomorrow to see their big friendly game against Real Madrid, about just over an hours drive just like going to West Bromwich really.
Up for some deals if anybody is about?

If Weepu is off to the Blues, Brett has left and Mathewson is still there and Smylie, is it possible that he might play 10? Or will Gareth Anscombe be stepping up as first choice 5/8?

Slade looks so comfortable at FH, a real talent. Lambie will surely take Steyn's jersey over the year.

I hope so, not a fan of steyn at all, very one dimensional and the SA attack is 1D enough at the best of times anyways.
Lambie's tackling was mightily impressive, great technique. Reminds me of every coach i had as a kid 'stay low, doesn't matter how big they are, they can't run without legs' etc etc

Steyn has dropped steadily over the last 2 years or so, I used to be a huge fan but his game hasn't progressed.
He really struggles to get anything from his backline and only real option is to kick.
He'd really struggle to make a fly half top 10 imo.

Re: ERL Season 4 - Homepage (3)
Pooly, generally its a good team, but I would be concerned by how many of them are long term injuries (Domingo, Dagg, Mermoz?), or long term poor form (Steyn, Spies). I would be looking at 8-9-10 axis if I were you.

Joe Worsley, George Chuter, Thomas Waldron, David Strettle and James Simpson-Daniel all released from squad.
Step forward Charlie Sharples! Also looks like Mears will be third hooker, which is mixed news for me, very happy for him, but Bath need him!

What do we reckon for the final 30? I'd say:
Props: Dan Cole (Leicester Tigers), Alex Corbisiero (London Irish), Andrew Sheridan (Sale Sharks), Matt Stevens (Saracens),
Hookers: Dylan Hartley (Northampton Saints), Lee Mears (Bath Rugby), Steve Thompson (London Wasps).
Locks: Louis Deacon (Leicester Tigers), Courtney Lawes (Northampton Saints), Tom Palmer (Stade Francais), Simon Shaw (London Wasps).
Back row: Tom Croft (Leicester Tigers), Nick Easter (Harlequins), James Haskell (Unattached), Lewis Moody (Bath Rugby), Tom Wood (Northampton Saints).
Full-backs: Delon Armitage (London Irish), Ben Foden (Northampton Saints).
Wings: Chris Ashton (Northampton Saints), Mark Cueto (Sale Sharks), Ugo Monye (Harlequins),
Centres: Matt Banahan (Bath Rugby), Riki Flutey (London Wasps), Shontayne Hape (London Irish), Mike Tindall (Gloucester Rugby), Manusamoa Tuilagi (Leicester Tigers).
Fly-halves: Toby Flood (Leicester Tigers), Jonny Wilkinson (Toulon).
Scrum-halves: Danny Care (Harlequins), Ben Youngs (Leicester Tigers).

Re: ERL Season 4 - Homepage (3)
I think that PDJ might be in with a equal if not better chance than Corbs, as he can play both sides. I also think they might take 5 props, perhaps lose Deacon, with Croft and Easter as emergnecy locks.
Also think they might take a 3rd scrummy, but I hope they don't as Foden could do that as emergency also.

I think taking 3 hooks, 3 sh's and 3 fh's would be a big mistake but I wouldn't be suprised if MJ did that.

I totally agree, but thought it was the norm. But I might be getting confused with Lions squads, which are slightly bigger aren't they.
Almost certain that 3 hooks, 3 scrummy, flood, wilko and flutey will be the combos
Corbs - didn't know he covered both sides? Havn't seen him play TH before, but fair enough.

Very nice engine room. Most important part of a side is 8/9/10 axis and I don't think yours is that strong (or more seriously out of form).
Tidy front row, and nice balance in centres
