Ben Franks is available
Also what did everyone make of the england game? Gavin Henson played well for 30 minutes he was on the pitch! Fourie has played himself out of the world cup squad and Toby Flood is never going to be a international fly half!

Re: ERL Season 4 - Homepage (3)
Warburton played well but it was more a team effort from Wales.
We dominated play and possesion. If Aus/NZ had the ball we had they would have put 50 points on Wales. Problem is we didn't. We had numerous pens in kicking range and we went for the corners(suspect wanting to go through attacking phases).]
We looked LOST in attack. You can't go into a game when 11-14 offer NOTHING going forward. Hape is awful and Tindall although spirited can't pass for toffee. Banahan offers nothing from the wing and Cueto's time is up. Flood was terrible but he had very little outside him.
We need Sharples/Ashton wings. Flutey really needs gametime to get into form and Wilko/Youngs need to build a realationship as Flood is off the boil and Care isn't up to standard.
Fourie is not Int class and Wood not too far off that either.
SA v Aus was a good battle though

Wow, so we lose one warm up game and the whole back line is now awful! Little extreme perhaps?
Heard good feedback on Banahan, agree on Flutey, Hape and Tindall though. Can't see why Cueto will get dropped, surely will retire post WC anyways. Fourie won't go either, lets just hope Wood had a bad game and that he keeps progressing

Not really mate. Young's/Ashton/Foden are the sparks around a defensive combo. Without those the others look the average players that they are.
Banahan was terrible, not sure what reports you read. He had a one on one 5m from the line with only Williams to beat.......Williams brought him down with ease, it was embarresing.
They have a HD version and a normal around 1GB a match

Re: ERL Season 4 - Homepage (3)
Fair enough, I can't really comment without seeing it, but the feedback i got was similar to what you said, without the banners bashing (but i live in bath, don't forget, so was probably biased) Except perhaps not so negative. Lots of possession and no promise, no real line breaking ability.....but what did we expect from the Flood/HApe/Tindall axis. Should be used to it by now. And without Ashton and Foden out wide, you are right, not many game breakers there. Realistically though, never going to see that backline play together, not enough flair in there. Flutey, Ashton, Foden, Tuilagi will all offer more at the gain line and/or open space and with Sir Jonny pulling the strings, i'm not too concerned.

Nathan Luscombe
Tidy player mate , great at running with the ball and passing it about and taking players on - No Efion Williams though!
Not too bad at being sent off either!

Thank you YI Man for clearing that up, yet when we commented at the same time people still didn't believe us and still don't.
Nathan Luscombe from Sunderland isn't it Driver, and you actually think that team will get promotion
Far better sides in League 1 and you know it, Leicester didn't do very well yesterday mind and I believe despite our spending if we don't get two class strikers then we won't even get into the play-offs.

Any winger worth his salt should of finished that. Banners just isn't an Int quality winger, centre maybe if he gets more gametime.

Re: ERL Season 4 - Homepage (3)
Bathite: welsh perspective. So much better from the last match. We need to sort out our lineouts BIG time....how long has it been since we had a good one?!
The main standouts were Warburton (obviously) and the whole Welsh defence.
Phillips and Roberts had the matches they needed and we saw the impact of a proper playmaker at 10 when Hook moved there. Faletau I think is still a bit too young but it is good that he's getting big game experience.
Front row did ok, fronted up well and proved that they couldn't be dubbed at a '2nd' choice.
The best bit for me was how dangerous we looked when we had the ball. England seemed to be going through the motions when they attacked but we had the aura of 2008 again where each time we had the ball the crowd got excited.
Massive confidence boost it's just these lineouts!!

I seem to think they have to start Charteris with Davies, as I saw him win most if not all of his ball and the obvious height helps in attack and defence.
They have missed Evans and Gough badly.

Yeah I don't think the Davies-AWJ combo works anymore really. Charteris does do the lineout work and alot of unseen bits, also he seems to play with a lot of pride.

Yeah, but the only worry after that is how Charteris' height might unbalance the props/scrum. Without someone almost equal height.
Maybe a R Jones/Charteris combo?

You can't drop Davies he's the only one who carries in that front 5. AWJ is the weakness, he's neither good in the lineout or good round the park. Very overated, can't see how Wales persist with him.

Re: ERL Season 4 - Homepage (3)
I agree you can't drop him, but maybe starting the above combo in the next game and then playing Davies for Jones as the first combo. AWJ is just a poor 6 playing at lock.

I like AWJ think he's a good player. Not the best but he does his job well enough.
I like Davies and Gough but they are two similar to play together.
