Re: ERL Season 4 - Homepage (3)
Jeremy, what/who do you feel could make the biggest upset of the 2011 RWC?
Tom, Scotland
Hi Tom, I think you might be setting me up here with you coming from Scotland?! No surprises in Pool A, France and New Zealand to qualify.
Dan Carter will hope to inspire New Zealand to their first World Cup crown
Pool B two out of Scotland, Argentina and England, likely to be Scotland and England, and I would be surprised if England didn't top the pool.
Pool C, Australia and Ireland qualify.
Pool D, Wales and South Africa qualify. Surprises are likely to come in the quarter-finals.
Not sitting on the fence at all Jerry!

England team
Ben Foden, Chris Ashton, Manu Tuilagi, Mike Tindall (captain), Delon Armitage, Jonny Wilkinson, Richard Wigglesworth, Andrew Sheridan, Steve Thompson, Dan Cole, Louis Deacon, Courtney Lawes, Tom Croft, James Haskell, Nick Easter
Couple of interesting selections, great to see Manu Tins combo and Wilko at ten. Sarries back up scrum half starts for England in a WC game.

Re: ERL Season 4 - Homepage (3)
Good idea prop, im definitely up for it like I said.
What teams will be included, I think as the French teams will be far more superior this season due to capturing Super 15 players, I think there should be more.
Maybe cut out teams like Bath, Northampton and Ospreys out. Leicester, Saracens and Leinster still have very strong sides.

Re: ERL Season 4 - Homepage (3)
Cut out the Heineken Cup Finalists out of a best of Europe competition? What a fool!
I'd suggest Racing Metro need to be included as well as possibly Ulster. Sadly Bath might miss the cut.

Re: ERL Season 4 - Homepage (3)
Perpignan are very good aswell and Racing Metro.
Leinster should be included, Leicester are still strong and have depth, Saracens have added well. Northampton even though they got to the Heineken Cup final, are still weaker than Leinster, and understandably on paper Leicester and Saracens.
8-10 teams possibly Pull?
Biarritz, Clermont, Perpignan, Racing Metro, Stade/Toulon, Toulouse, Saracens, Leicester, Leinster, Ulster?

Season 5 won't be until after the RWC

Loving the sound of that Pull! really exciting! Would be awesome to have S15 in there and after the WC means that I will be in the country and available to help as before.

Re: ERL Season 4 - Homepage (3)
So.......?
SH
Reds
Blues
Crusaders
Stormers
Waratahs?
Who would be the 5th? Brumbies had a shocker, so did Rebels, but have signed Beale and JOC. Maybe Sharks?
NH
Toulon (definate, big signings)
Toulouse
Leicester
Leinster
Leaving: Sarries, Munster, Ulster, Biarritz, Stade (lots of signings), Metro, Clermont (signings!)
SH
Reds
Blues
Crusaders
Stormers
Waratahs?

I'd probably go:
Northern Hemisphere
Toulouse
Toulon
Leicester
Leinster
Ospreys?
Southern Hemisphere
Bulls
Crusaders
Blues
Reds
Waratahs
I want a good scope of the world, not necessarily the best teams.

Pull
I'm currently trapped in 32 degrees heat with an all inclusive bar and I'm getting less sober by the minute till Monday so I won't be on a CPU to predict.
I wish you could all understand my pain!

Was a draw to see who picked in what order. Think I came out 2/3

Yer Bathite I'd just won it with Toulon (also 1st pick) and with a budget of around 50m, decided to go to a worse team for a 90m budget. Might be a division 1 team next year
