Kane's Promo can only mean one thing

he is going back to the mask. This "kayfabe" injury will give him some time up to get his character ready and will give him one final run as a monster heel.

Missed it last night - is the promo up on youtube?

I wouldn't bet on it being a return to the mask. It seems any storyline involving Kane has a return to the mask implied and it never happens.

I would probably argue that if Kane were to come back as masked Kane he'd get a huge pop from the crowd as opposed a heel reaction, even if he went round beating on every fan favourite there is

WWE have reported that Kane has a fractured Fibula, and may be out for three months or longer, dependant on the severity of the injury.

To make him feel less like a human and more like a monster. That was what he said he would do, then shaking Orton's hand shows he couldn't become 'the monster' on his own. So while away he rediscovers his mask and it returns him to the monster.

I don't know if it will happen or if it should, but it would be pretty easy to do from here.

I don't think it was a reference to the mask.

I think it's just a build up to his retirement. He realised he's not a monster anymore, so he'll retire as a human with a happy ending. (Probably after beating Mark Henry)

The mask wouldnt look right on him though with a bald head. I would prefer him to just carry the mask around with him (similar to Undertaker with the earn) and have it as his power source or something like that...

Yeah the hair was part of the mask.

I like the idea of him carrying it actually. Like I said I don't think it would be what they do, just giving a scenario that could work quite easily.

He could carry it around and talk to it like Al Snow did with Head

But the reason for him wearing the mask in the first place was because his face was supposed to be disfigured, due to little Undertaker playing with matches and burning the gaff down. The mask used to be a thing of intruige and mystery which was a big part to his monster character. The WWE, Jerry Lawler in particular, used to really push Kane's 'disfigured' face which further enhanced his 'difference' to the normal human being. If he were to don it the mask again, there would be none of that.

His disfigurement was just some black dust wasn't it?

Paul Bearer re-signed with the WWE in May - is this a coincidence? Surely not. I'd love to see Kane have one last run with the Mask

In May 2011, Bearer signed a new 5 year contract with WWE.Paul Bearer stated on his Facebook page that he is heading to WWE’s television studios in Stamford, Connecticut today to work on a ‘special project’.The special project is assumed to be something related to return of WWE Superstar The Undertaker.

I wonder if it could be linked with the retirement of Taker?
