The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the virtual rugby pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the Tommy Bowe photo on the bar. That's a banning offence
So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

South Africa have a try ruled out by the TMO. Cruel bounce went against Cooper and Fourie scored but he knocked it on just before in the scrap with Cooper.

Heaps of dropped balls and passes by SA who should have made more from this with missed tries kicks and dropped goals so far...

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Well done Wales, great defence and took your few chances. No complaints. It's all very well England keeping hold of the ball but depressing when time and time again, they do nothing with it. Sooner or later the inability to turn possession and territorial advantage into points will bite you in the bum. Please please please MJ, no more Hape/Tindall in midfield.
On current showing, it is hard to believe there ever has been a weaker group in the history of the RWC finals than the forthcoming Arg/Eng/Scot etc one.

Anyone hear Gatland's comments there?
"We want to send out a message not just to the people but to the referees that we're capable of beating the big teams". Is he just trying to aggravate officials?

Not quite sure what he means there ? Wales had a massive penalty count in the first half.

Some brilliant stuff. Lawrence copped out there at the end though if the unplayable call. Should have let it go for a few seconds more to see what happened.

Welcome Simon - we could do with some more English posters in here.
Taylorman, we have the TN game on in the pub here. Someone (English) commented "There was more skill in the last 30 seconds of that half, than we just saw in 80 minutes".

Yeah so many mistakes and not a lot of quality handling or combinations going on.
Oz will keep running all second half so I think SA mat be scrambling a bit. They look short of a match skills wise.

Incredible end to the first half, just goes to show what professional rugby players are capable of doing when they're not running into each other.

I was almost spot on with my SG pick this week I had Wales win by 7 - that'll make up for the fact I forgot to put my picks up for two weeks in a row.

Moaning about David Wallace not being picked. Does he not realise we've two more games? Eejit.

In the golf clubhouse at Loch Erne for my dinner where one brave waiter has just turned over to the rugby from the live golf. I doubt it'll stay this way or that he'll be picking up any substantial tips this evening.

Really bad start. France look 100% sharper and hungrier at the breakdown in the early stages. Kicks in behind our back three causing problems.
Good start for the scrum though.

Right, we need to get on the scoreboard and just get a hold of the ball or this will turn ugly. France 10-0 Ireland.

I do as well actually. Obviously I prefer green, but it's better than the Welsh and English 'copycat' efforts
Of course, I'm sure the English sports media will be full of invective about us stealing their precious identity

I like the "Rio red" top Notch. I think I might get meself one. Perhaps they should've called it the Rhondda red though?
Oh dear...lots of errors from Ireland. Excellent tackles by Blondie though.

We're not that precious about our idenrity. We're not allowed to express our pride in our identity because we would most likely be called racist xenophobes.
But hey, it's ok for everyone else to have a pop at us.

Agree on the pundits, they're awful. I'm not sure about just cutting to bits of footage with no introduction beforehand either, very strange. I also wonder whether they've got ambulance cover on hand as they're getting so worked up.
