Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4
Johnson pretty much said it was a really tough game, didn't go to plan but was delighted they won it.
Would say even six months ago we would have lost that one.
Biggest turning point was Haskell's hit on Contepomi, with him off the pitch Argentina lost their talisman and couldn't really work through their gameplan as well as they were.
For Scotland I hope we play.
1. Sheridan (Stevens = perfect bench player)
2. Hartley
3. Cole
4. Palmer
5. Lawes
6. Croft
7. Moody
8. Haskell
9. Yougngs
10. Wilko
11. Cueto (should be JSD!!!)
12. Tins
13. Tuilagi
14. Ashton
15. Foden
Thought Tindall got caught out in defence a few times today, also cant work out why we dont get croft involved more!

Thought Arg scrum did well till Scelzo came on. Don't think they conceded a pen till second half and done us a few times.

Pooly. I think they just tired themselves out - or got smashed by Lawes! He must intimidate other players with those hits. Always remember selling him to Pete for £3m in the first season and then 2 days later he did this to Parra...

Does anyone have a more experienced no 9 at all?
Also maybe a lineout lock?

i thought armitage did ok but can tell he's not a natural winger.
thought ashton was very quiet and his attempted tackle at the end was pathetic.
croft was pretty anonymous
stevens and youngs made great impacts off the bench
haskell good.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4
just cover for WC - unless Davies has another good game at no9 tomorrow!
dont think Taylor is the best option at 5 for me at the moment - would you rate Attwood and Clark? Tempted with a pack of:
Domingo, Webber, Hayman, Attwood, Clark, Messam, Lapandy and Taylor next week with Kankowski and Watson on the bench.
Backline Davies, Beauxis, Siviatu, Giteau, Lualala, someone, Claasens if he plays well for Worcester again!

I'd def rate Clark higher than Taylor at lock, told you that last time. I'd maybe have Parling available but would need somebody coming back as I've loaned a few out

Is Parling playing at the moment mate?
Farrell was incredible with the boot today - Sarries are such a damn boring team to watch though! If you dont give them penalties then they wont score!

Why do loaned out players count as part of your squad of 55??
Think this should be altered

That has always been the rule Steve, loaned out player counts on the numbers of both the club being loaned out by and the club loaning him in.

Boks looking very strong, could hammer Wales here.
Did anyone watch Aus match? Did JOC play 13 in the second half, I seen he replaced Fa'ainga

Welsh lineout is a shambles, Priestland looking a little lost at 10, making some random calls. Brussow dominating breakdown, Wales have no answer.

Not sure about that Pooly, pretty even game so far from what I can see, and Priestland is looking decent enough.

They keep pegging back, Boks fast out the hurdles. Fair play to the Welsh, I'd have def went Hook at 10 for this one.

It's the aimless kicks behind from Priestland, Welsh looking good ball in hand and he kicks away with poor angled kicks, 3 times now.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4
Didn't see the games this morning. Wales ran SA closer than I thought.
I'd go with Hook at 10 for Wales. Think he is such a threat with ball in hand.
Oz had a good second half. Cooper showing his class with the assists. May have been the wrong game for Faainga. he might be best against the better sides in the tournament.

Also being told (admittedly by Welsh fans) that Warburton outplayed Brussow.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4
He didn't outplayed Brussow Steve. Warbs was very very good and so was Brussow in poor Bok performance. Hard to make a comparison as Wales were pretty much on top.
Brussow was defensively outstanding and really cut Wales down. Made some crucial turnovers and about 25-30 tackles.
Alberts has to start over Spies and Boks missed Botha and Matfield massivley (Matfield went off early)

Wales were best team from about 30mins. I'd say Warbs and Brussow were each teams motm. Falitau was superb as was Roberts.
Thought Burger and Steyn put in good shifts too for SA.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4
No not yet. In the future I see him as a having a very good chance to be up there with Pocock and Brussow when McCaw retires/ages whatever.
I think he is probably the best 7 in NH atm with form and fitness being considered.
What are people's views on fatigue? I remember being absolutely crucified last season v Sale because everybody decided that a back couldn't play 5 games in a row. Trying to plan out some rotation so this doesn't happen again.

If i remember right those 5 games included jetting off across the world to play a few tri nation matches as well didnt they Steve?
I see fatigue becoming an issue after about 5 games mate but we are lucky that the anglo welsh comes into play then

Anybody watch the Scotland game?
Got a right hammering in the scrum, Romania forwards were beastly.
Cusiter was superb when he came on, Blair had a really good game too. Vernon's work for the last try was great to watch, might have to change my judgement on him if he carries on, got express pace.

Vernon looks a classy player. He will likely play 6 or in the row for Sale and could be a top acquisition. Him and Fourie in a back row will be great to watch.
