I don't think either of us know what happened, the Jorno at the interview was at the bar. He should know better tbh but then again I don't really care as it's nothing to do with rugby,

The thing is its the whole rugby lad culture thing - I bet every team in NZ goes out for a few beers after a game. Its just that he's royalty and we have the worst press anywhere in the world - remember when they strung out Dallagio when he was captain...
Really don't like our press, we shoot people down far too easily, remember what they did to Beckham all those years ago.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4
Do I still own him then?! I had him as
Coach and got no money surely he is mine.
Just about to watch saints vs quins ben Kay saying pdj had problems against Gloucester. He did concede 3 pens by the way pooly its on espn stats. For me he will have mujatis place but is a th no doubt. How good is your back row options now??
Brown is no 8 but a real competitor and gives you such depth.
Will admit I am wrong re brussow he has been mint in last few games.
Did you see Ireland game apparently ferris was man of match in a poor game.
Rugby heaven (aussie site) has thorn and a few others cancelling Japan contracts due to funding?? Not sure if it's just the boards or true. My boss who owns the company is a queenslander and puts bit of money into them and says a few reds who were thinking of leaving have had offers revoked. It's also why roussouw will sign for brumbies with an option of Japan.
The Japan 7 was great today.

I think you do mate, can't see why not.
Re-watched that game and didnt see 1 call on PDJ. No issues though. The 3 pens were in loose play, offside twice and hands in I think.
Be some very happy people on here if Japan story is true

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4
Me too have mils and roussouw. Ireland aussie game of week. Next week France nz will be massive. MVL still messing around. Slades kicking dreadful today but for me must be the ball. Apparently everyone been using the balls in games for
A year.
It's a mental thing why players can't step in to dc's shoes. Evans and Donald both quality and neither could.
To be fair nz 9s don't help. Weepu is good impact and good ten but starting 9??! Ellis I would pick as carter plays with him but neither him
Or Cowan great.
Massive youngs fan he will get your backs going much better than your previous options. If read, smith and mccaw ever are fit for you it's a dream team lineup. Have you seen Alberts covering second row tomorrow?? My friend the agent over there thinks that's his long term position and where he played best as a youth

Watching quins saints. How good is Joe gray. When I signed him thought he may be bench due to being English but he has been great for last half and this season must be near england recognition with tommo retiring post wc.
Robshaw also showing he is king of AP. York doing well as is Dickson the Sh and robson.
Said it Many times that waller saints 1 will be a Saxon at least. Mujati again not looking good.
Nutley the 7 is a prospect chris

Interesting how saints replace mujati with mercy?? Then
Use pdj to replace Waller???
Bizarre. Ref in this game terrible jp Doyle. With refs at wc we have such poor
Officiating. Manu for saints raw but such an impact. Will be a great sub when
Lawes back.
Still think Marler will be a legendary english
Player but his scrummaging is dire currently. Thought he would improve. Hope
He is not another jack forster. Seen he is
Released in this game yet many people like vickery, Leonard and woodman all
Thought he would be the nuts. I did too.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4
Marler under massive pressure. Quins front row needs experience.
Gray ok scrummager and Johnstone huge but needs support. His
Technique like many big men needs work. Pdj at lh using such a cheap tactic of the shifting bind and yet johnstone has
Gone for it and conceeded 2 pens. How can johnstone be do daft. He is raw but has a real talent. Some
Weeks he kills the lh the next he rolls over

Ireland's scrum is awful. Also diving all over the ball like Munster do. Declan Kidney making sure his mark is upon this team

In the scrums or overall? I'd say he's got the scrums ok so far, Oz back row aren't helping their tight 5 in the scrums at all.

2 poor scrummaging sides. Tpn does not scrum very well. Good game. Ferris is
So important to
Ireland.
Reddan needs replacing he is so indecisive at the moment. Bring on 2nd half

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4
Overall he seems to just be flipping a coin in his head. Cooper knocked on then beale picked up and Kearney put in a accidental high tackle. I'm not sure if penalties over rule scrum advantage but I've never had that happen with refs I've had.
Ferris and POC having a huge game. I do however think Heaslip or SOB could be in the bin with a different ref. Very poor goal kicking so far in the tournament. I don't like the idea that it's the ball. It isn't so different from any other rugby ball.

Mike Ross was released by someone. Ireland should not get carried away. Aussies are a good side but their scrum is poor especially when Moore is missing

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4
SOB, BOD & POC simply superb!!!!
Fa'ainga cannot start 13 again, he hinders so many attacking moves. Worse hands than Tindall and no attacking threat.
Aus just bullied upfront, great to see them taking a stuffing. Cooper just got targeted all game and couldn't cope, his flick to Tommy Bowe was just typical him and cost Aus getting over line. Serious foot race with Bowe & JOC, I was screaming for Bowe to go over.
Connor Murray looks some player. Aus scrum giving a hiding but thought ref made some poor calls. It's all about momentum though and Aus scrum were stuffed from first 10

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4
Agree re faiingaa. Driver likes him in attack but for me does not do it. Expect to see Horne or AAc there. AAc much better wing and was their best player today. Cooper can't play in rain and ferris and sob hounded him brilliantly
Guest- Guest
Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4
There's nothing to like imo, offers very little. Amount of times he fumbled or fluffed a pass was unreal, very strong defender but not an Int class player.
I'd go AAC at 13 and bring Mitchell to wing, have Horne on bench to cover 13/11

Don't think Cooper would ever make it in NH, he can't play that type of controlled game. I think he'd go back to League if he was to move anywhere.
Read loads of articles linking SBW & Cooper in a double move to league. They have same agent and he's been offering them as a pair to clubs apparently.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4
Cooper had to try things. They needed a try and it didn't come off. No Aussie played well. Cooper, AAC and Beale looked dangerous in small parts but overall played badly and JOC was anonymous in attack but his cover tackle was unreal I didn't realise he had the gas to get to Bowe.
TPN was awful, Horwill wasn't great and neither was Elsom.
This is an issue with the no Giteau selection. Anyone could tell after 50/60 mins that Cooper wasn't the man you wanted in charge of the game. Keep him on at 10 because he can get tries from nowhere but Oz needed the control (or at least the option) of having Giteau at 12. Why take Barnes to a WC and not even have him on the bench?
Missed Pocock and Moore hugely and I think they should have played Higginbottom instead of McCallman.
All credit to Ireland and particularly ROG and POC who were excellent. Ireland need to remember that the win against OZ isn't the WC final. Need to finish the job against Italy in the group stage. Ireland's scrum is so up and down its unreal. They were mullered one then on top the next and then so on for the whole game.
