If Ireland win by more than 15 - England go down and Wales go up?
Talk about Ireland being between a rock and hard place! Choices..choices.
I think we should refuse to play under those conditions where even winning is a loss.

Not often that only a single game turns up to affect the top teams:
Here goes:
If fra win by 1-15 points 0.138 85.20 79.30 No:
No positional changes
If fra win by more than 15 0.207 85.27 79.23 No
No positional changes
If result is a draw 0.862 84.20 80.30 No
France slip below SA
Ireland scrape above Argentina by a fag-paperth.
If ire win by 1-15 points 1.862 83.20 81.30 No
France slip below SA
Ireland overtake Argentina.
If ire win by more than 15 2.793 82.27 82.23 No
Ireland hop over Argentina and England into 6th
France tumble down to 5th thus promoting both Wales and SA one place.

Unlikely to happen Biltong, you do know the referee for the game is Bryce Lawrence, right?

Nice one.
You hold the last ever 3N trophy. Not happy about that.
And the Super15 trophy after the Crusaders had travelled around the galaxy and didn't get to play the Brumbies and the Rebels.

Re: IRB World Rankings ... Part 1
Our poor old trophy case needed something other than cobwebs. Sure it wasn't as hotly contested as other years but we'll take it.
As for the 'saders not playing the 2 stoogers, well, consider it a blessing in disguise. Sure you would have got the points but you would have come away all the poorer and generally feeling sorry for yourselves having gone through it. Plus, I never heard anyone complain about not having to go to Canberra!

Typo by Kia - it was the Rebels and the Cheetahs (I think - whoever the worst Saffa team was) that the Crusaders missed.
Though I've been to Canberra. Twice. And I complained lots both times

Re: IRB World Rankings ... Part 1
Haha, indeed.
But those wins would´ve seen us with home advantage and we could´ve had the game in London and I could´ve made the trip over to see it from Madrid.
Typical AB supporter I´m afraid. Never satisfied. Always wanting more.
Actually not a typo Kiwi. I just thought of the two worst franchises and forgot about the Cheetahs.
I too have been to Canberra and I will say one thing about it I didn´t complain about when I was there: driving out of it.

Canberra is the land that time forgot. I got the call-up to a mates wedding a few years ago in Canberra and after trying valiantly to talk him out of it had to relent and make the trip down. That 48 hours dragged on forever.

Re: IRB World Rankings ... Part 1
So the calculations (impressive as ever) mean that no matter what combinations happen next week Wales can't get to 4th - ahh apologies if England win by less than 15 and we beat Italy then we'll sneak it by 0.01.
But regardless I don't think it'll matter as we're not the best in the NH unless we beat both Italy and France.
When does the rankings count towards the WC seedings, is it mid 2013?
And does Lions games get ranked (for the SH side?)

But regardless I don't think it'll matter as we're not the best in the NH unless we beat both Italy and France.
When does the rankings count towards the WC seedings, is it mid 2013?
And does Lions games get ranked (for the SH side?)
RWC 2015 draw is in November I think.

The Kiwi seed is highly rated internationally. God said, go forth from Godzone and spread your seed. And many Kiwis on their OE or their permanent residence abroad did just that. I'm just practising at the moment. Good things come to those who wait...

Ruby.
If both Wales and England win at the weekend, who'll get the bragging rights in the Wrankings table?

So, as i have absolutely no clue about the ranking system and have no real interest in figuring it out. Did Ireland move ahead of Argentina into 7th after the draw with France?

Remember that the Kiwi mans seed is one of the poorest seed counts in the world, thank goodness for the few Welsh in NZ keep the local ladies happy
