better than having the tests. Its a pointless series played between understrength sides, if youre going to lose anything this summer make it the ODIs

Re: England vs India - Second ODI Thread
Going by their present bout of injuries, India wouldn't really mind if the series rains off into nothingness.
But they were showing pedigree and class in the ODI format in the last match, even with an injury hit side. As Dhoni's punch line goes, 'everything that could have gone wrong, has gone wrong'. and we aren't done yet!.

Not surprised, shocking test series, umpteen injuries & they now have to suffer a wet English September

So a T20 tonight then?

Re: England vs India - Second ODI Thread
Why is it 23 overs a side?! Thats a stupid number!
Why not just play a T20?!
Why not just play a T20?!
Re: England vs India - Second ODI Thread
Bit of a shame.
Must have been a rubbish return for Fletcher so he'll be hoping they get some matches and wins under their belt, even if it's all a bit meaningless between experimental teams.

England win toss, bowl.
for me, bat first seems to win a lot of the Rose Bowl of late. could be a mistake.

Re: England vs India - Second ODI Thread
hope we get a game.
Nas suggesting it's another Indian crowd so India home again then.
they must love it here.
Morgan out now too.. this is turning into a joke series isn't it.
Pure pointless second string stuff. I guess both teams can claim it doesn't matter if/when they lose now.

jesus that crowd.. england have no fans anymore. prob 90% english and yet 80% india.. english cricket is in a bad way in support to be honest, constantly outnumered by people who'd rather support the other country.

Why do England insist on bowling short in ODI's? It's something we've been doing ever since I can remember and it has pretty much never worked!

India in control here. Eng don't look bothered by this at all.
they won the real series, this is just a jolly now.
Indians in fleeces.. lol.. brrrrr. softies.

Re: England vs India - Second ODI Thread
They have Billy.
sorry get wound up by idiots like the one holding "england it's pay back time" no doubt he's english himself.
like it makes up in anyway for the drubbing they got in the real game.
prat, doesn't promote good feeling towards them.

I'm amazed the rain held off. bucketing it down down here still (many miles away though).
so eng made a huge mistake fielding first. they have to chase a huge total under lights.

Re: England vs India - Second ODI Thread
fair enough Billy.
i support eng.. i hope they win every game to be honest. why would i ever want someone else to win?
India have won anyway. anything past a run a ball was too much for Eng and this pair are destroying eng.

jesus england look crap..
i think we're seeing how bad we are at odi, and how good they are in the short forms.
Rahane gets a clean catch and tries to get away with it. but has to go anyway.

Re: England vs India - Second ODI Thread
indeed greg. i've not seen a team manage to chase 150 in a t20 at Hamsphire in a long time.. england made a massive mistake bowling first and will face 200 at this rate with the pp to come. Poor bowling, good batting. Eng loook deflated and defeated already.
they don't "get" this form, never make the right calls to be honest. Young cap has to learn the hard way.
and a wide to start the pp.. self destructing. blowing up in the face of a hostile crowd and better team.

Don't worry we will bowl short in this powerplay...
Great.

Re: England vs India - Second ODI Thread
The captain chose to bowl first and could throw this one.. maybe he needs a more experienced replacement?
Sky are loving it of course.

Re: England vs India - Second ODI Thread
So Bresnan bowls one full and straight and its a dot ball
Next ball back of a length and it goes for 4

Re: England vs India - Second ODI Thread
yes they seem incapable of seeing what everyone else is seeing.. that yorkers are working.
watch India bowl them out with it chasing horrible scoreboard pressure.
maybe they just wanted to give the crowd a win at last.
Raina.. if he could play tests he'd be a good player. Big slogger of the ball.

Re: England vs India - Second ODI Thread
The Indians are now running into each other to give us a fair chance...
Re: England vs India - Second ODI Thread
so england in their wisdom rest KP.. and now lose Moggy. could they bring back KP?
stokes messes up and gives a free four and Nas pretends he's not massively supporting India yeah right.
A week ago Dernbache was the new Gough.. now he's been found out and punished.. cricket can be cruel.
pappa slogfest goes skying one.
and someone else follows him.
30 less and Eng would have stood a chance but they messed it right up.
need rain to save them now.
