I didn't mind, it confirmed my spidey sensesFists of Fury wrote:I fully agree with that, Kev. Makes sense, and it's not like he doesn't know anything about boxing.
We will do similar if we have another tie.
I didn't intend for his vote to be counted when I posted it, was just to let you know someones thoughts from the outside.

I like the idea of getting peoples opinions who are involved in the sport. Triss is very good he would be better on ringside than Nelson. What has happened to Bob Meed? Has he stopped working with Sky I liked him.

Re: 606 Heavyweight Knockout Tournament
Anyone want to do the draw for the Light heavies? The fighters are numbered 1-8.

She just got married, not that that's probably a barrier.

Re: 606 Heavyweight Knockout Tournament
I left posting on these boards for some time due to the likes of Imperial Ghosty and his feigned residence on an imagined boxing moral highground. Still read over the threads from time to time though as there some particularly interesting ones especially the revised hall of fame one. I am actually glad the mods took the hardline with him and ignored his so called "old boy 606" diplomatic immunity he felt entitled to. No doubt he will reappear in some new incarnation as despite endless claims about how bad the site and moderators are he just couldnt seem to stay away for more than an hour. Fitting that the miserable bugger had to come back and try to drag his threads down with with from beyond the grave so to speak.
To the question at hand, I think I am too late to have a casting vote in this one although the heavyweights are one of the less intersting weights to do due to the fact its a near on certainty that Ali wins regardless of the draw.
I like these threas because although they generally do take the safe road where the best ranked guy wins some of the match ups offer reasonable challenges and food for thought.

Re: 606 Heavyweight Knockout Tournament
Ive sen it up mate but will need a while to digest it. Its probably the strongest division historically in boxing so the quality is magnificent but even then the top side of the draw appears pretty tough!
A bit surprised to see Greb in there as wold have mainly considered him at middleweight although in those days the weight fluctuated far more than they do at present.

Re: 606 Heavyweight Knockout Tournament
Good to see you posting again mate.
I used the top 8 from the rankings we all voted for. Personally I'm looking forward to the featherweights Pep vs Saddler will come up and I will need to go over that one in my head another hundred times.
This is a great weight giving it a go tomorrow.
