Re: Furious League
honestly, and if you ask me to leave the league because of what im about to say then ill understand, i think afro is annoyed because he only accepted the chiellini tp so he could get jags off nick, that chiellini transfer should never have happened, he played with juve through their serie b days, and is only ever linked with the top top clubs in the world, so why would he leave for this league, which whilst the teams get cl places, should still be ranked a fair way below the likes of chelsea and the manchester clubs, that chiellini transfer is setting a dangerous precedent and could really affect the league, as we are definately gonna lose the thing that made the league so good in that you have to be realistic with your searches and should be trying to find the next big things

Nick is the only arguing!!
I asked a serious question. flanagan is a scouser and 18. Sterling has played for Jamaica at youth level, so no longer qualifies for England and therefore doesn't qualify as UK.

Stop being a dickhead Nick.
And Tranq - I discussed and qualified the Chiellini TP with Viva before replying. And I'm not annoyed in the slightest. Nick is starting to annoy me now as he is acting like an idiot.

Hoorah, nice one Liam apart from the xbox.
Afro, quite simple, you over rule all so make your mind up. I dont really care, I just wanted to get rid of Vertonghen because I dont want him in my team.
You want Jags, £20m done, take him

I agree with this to a degree but already there are some huge huge names in the league like Aguero, Mata, Torres, etc.
In RF though some players do leave CL clubs for ones not in, sure it doesn’t happen often but look at guys like Tevez, he joined West Ham initially when there could have been much bigger clubs after him, then the year in which he was part of the CL winning club he left to join one that wasn;t even in Europe at the time and hadn’t won a trophy in a generation, sure they threw crazy money at him but its becoming more and more the case. Now there’s PSG, Malaga the Russian club who’s name goes on forever that got Eto and the UAE team that got Gyan, some even swan back off to Brazil or join LA Galaxy etc.

Re: Furious League
you both had an interest in that though as you both went for his defenders as he signed chiellini, and in my heart of hearts, that doesnt quite sit right with me, and with that, i'll announce my resignation, its better to leave now before i get ever more resentful.
if you dont have a manager for bolton by friday, ill still do the tactics for that match, and i will still set up the first week of the domestic cup, but my involvment as a manager is over immediately, if any new manager wants the table code, just get them to post on my old page and ill be happy to give them

Re: Furious League
The Chiellini TP was being consistent.
The starting point has always been the situation of European football. Juve have none and have gone a few years without winning the Scudetto. Everton are champions and CL football. If they had come second, then it may have been a no.
That was the original thinking. Apologies if people don't agree with that.

Want to get a second opinion on this TP as I have a vested interest in that I have made an offer which will depend on Nick's TPs.
He has offered £16m for Chiellini. Now Juve aren't in Europe and Everton are champions + CL. I think the player would move, but that £16m is far too low for a top defender in his prime.
I was thinking £23-25m?
What do you think
VivaPaulScholes Tue Sep 20, 2011 12:06 pm
I would have said yes but Bonucchi is also in this league and I don't think Juve would allow that if they don't have a replacement for him.
BigFellasAfro Tue Sep 20, 2011 12:10 pm
I agree to some extent, but then that isn't consistent.
We let loads of Leverkusen players join, and both Werder Bremen centre halfs.
Normally, in this situation, we would say yes, but the price reflects that Juventus have to go out and find a replacement.
Just remembered, they also signed Gamberini from me through the lawyers last week
VivaPaulScholes Tue Sep 20, 2011 12:15 pm
Ok then I would say £24m for him.

Laim - Tactics due in on Friday. We then all vote on the matches that we aren't involved in and Andy (Sunderland) calculates the results after that.
