Ireland's back row were very very average. Heaslip played as badly as I've ever seen him. Ireland's front row was poor. Only player who impressed me was BOD. Kearney was good in bits.

I counted at least 3 Warburton turnovers and 4 or 5 times where he slowed down the Irish ball. Didn't do much carrying but no Welsh forwards did.

Sorry for having an opinion Chris. Watched it on phone so was hard to nail detail. Warbs was prob standout backrow, mainly remember him pushing Headlip in touch.

Phillips just slows so much ball down. Pefect for that type of game as he acts as extra flanker in defence. Not a fan in the slightest though, poor basics. Really look forward to Knoyl coming through next season, he's a real talent.

Prop who would you rather face in the semi finals?

Welsh dominated in the backrow there, England have got to do the same against the French, got to make sure that Harryordinay has a quiet game, he's either world class or disappears. Not sure where we are at the breakdown though, is still a big concern!

I was just talking to driver about this: personally I reckon we'd give both england and france a run for their money however:

I'd much rather lose to France than England and the blydi English media if we were to go out in a semi. To be fair who would have thought we'd have got to a semi final anyway......just like 1987 Wink

Well its not looking good is it!!

Disappointed with Ireland. Just didnt compete at all at the breakdown today. Its always easier for teams to defend against Ireland when ROG starts as he sits so deep and just shifts the ball on. Offers no running threat from 10 really and just allows the defence to shift. He usually makes up for it with his kicking game but that was way off today!

Cracking defensive effort from Wales will be some job to get past them in the semi's now

Ben Youngs what are you doing, three scoring chances you have messed up.

Sorry but Hartley and Lawes haev to come on now - Thompson cant mess up the throw ins like he has been doing, his throwing cost us the first try and set the French up.

We are making the breaks, getting over the gainline but dropping the ball at vital times - can't believe Youngs decision making in this game, wish Simpson was on the bench as he would change the game.

If Johnson doesnt sub off Deacon and Thompson now then he should be sacked. Would bring on Corbs now too.

So typical, the press and everyone makes out that France don't have a chance of beating us. France were always going to come out like they have done, it's not working for England they aren't putting away their chances, ball retention is so bad, people flinging it out of the contact when they have people supporting them. Handling, distribution and decision making has been poor. They need a rocket up their backsides at half time and to come out and get back in the game, France will be feeling they've won this we need to go at them they will crack.

To be fair we are going to score tries in this game, its just a question of whether we concede.

Am getting annoyed at how much the French are offside though - its like Walsh doesnt pick up on it - watch them when they chase kicks, at breakdowns and the amount of crossing they do.

If England go out now, then I think we should sack the coaching team, especially attacks coach. Lawes and Hartley have to come on now.

Simpson...are you kidding me? He can't pass for toffee. Youngs is one of our few players performing. Him and Manu are our only attacking threats right now. Of Cueto wasn't coming back and taking notice that was straight into Ashtons hands. You watching the game Chris or reading reports on it?

Arry each time we get the ball we look like we could score, look at Tuilagi's stats, in first 20 mins he had 4 ball carries and made over 60 metres. Give him the ball at pace.

ANyone else wanting to see Banahan on for Cueto?

back 3 playing terrible, cueto doesnt look match fit, foden terrible. shame armitage banned. missing him.

pooly, Youngs decision making has been atrocious mate. Where is his attacking threat that makes him so good? The lad has no confidence, 12 months ago he'd be taking the game to the french and how he's rushing everything and making errors in key areas - you wouldnt see Genia, Yachvilli or Phillips doing what he is. He needs to run it and dictate the game.

If you watched Simpson you;d see that his passing is really good.

We can still win this, as our line breaking is good, just need to finish.

Cant understand why we dont play simple rugby - French defence rushing up, we have two players that can kick at 10 and 12 but we dont nudge the ball over the top.

If we can score one try in next 10 minutes then we can still win, we are making line breaks - that's what Youngs needs to do - great play.
