Re: Scotland v Argentina match thread
All things being equal this is basically a knockout match with the victor going on to play the AB's in two weeks so you can bet Henry and his cohorts are watching this one with a microscope.
Im picking argie by 10 with that pack though a scot win could mean a repeat of the 1987 quarter final at eden park.
Lets go!

Why do we have a choir and the argies don't? I'm guessing its the language barrier but Flower of Scotland sounds awful with the choir and no bagpipes

Go Scotland!!
The choir joined in the end Optimist...that's how the anthem goes. A long intro then the main bit.

Cmon Scotland, I think Argentina are favorites and the rain will help Argentina ruin the game, but lets home Scotland can pull off something special.
I never like to see Robinson smiling, but I won't begrudge it today, the reward for winning this is a game against New Zealand!

Scotland need to be careful they have a habbit of playing rugby in the wrong areas and conceeding points from doing so.
Hoof the bloody ball in the Argentina 22 and let them play their way out of it.

Lobbe is looking wound up already, that;s a good sign he's their best player and has a habbit of getting himself binned.

Scotland are losing the battle of the rucks. They need to get there quicker and with more numbers.

Alyn you called it. Scotland are playing into Argentinas hands. Whoever builds a lead will win this.

It is to be expect, but Argentina will be knackered in the last 20, don't be suprised if Scotland are losing for most of the game, their best bet is a late win, provided they don;t leave themselves too much to do.Mad for Chelsea wrote:Scotland are losing the battle of the rucks. The kickers aren't being respected so far, I find that quite annoying.

Runners getting isolated as usual and some terrible passing has been our undoing so far. We were managing fine at the breakdown to begin with, but the wider it goes the less competitive we are when it breaks down.

Brilliant from Contepomi. I can't understand Scotlands tactics here. Silly kick from Lamont.

oh no poor Lobbe big blow that for Argentina. Think he landed funny on his foot when he jumped to compete for the ball.

With the way Scotland are playing with ball in hand, they should have some success in the last 20.

Did not do Lobbe much good when the medic runs on the field and trips over him.

Cant get over these crowds.
Well over 300k through the gates this round. Scotland looking much more threatening now.
They need to make it count.
Like the look of evans. Very quick off the mark.

Scotland backs are doing well and slipping tackles. Just need the ball retention.

Scotland have butchered two massive overlaps and Argentina are dominating the breakdown. Lobbe going off is a big blow for Argentina though.
