Re: English Premier League (EPL)
Whoever takes on the Unicorns can obviously choose if they want to include any other Glam/Gloucs/Derby players

Whatever players are unattached from The Unicorns (who we're waiting to be taken over) will go into the released players page and be available for purchase.

Given that the unicorns are a combo of 3 teams, wouldn't "triceratops" be a better nickname?
Sorry, it's been a tough day at work. I'll get me coat.

EPL ANNOUNCEMENT
Yet another announcement for you chaps to digest.
Seeing as it's unlikely that we'll attract another 3 people, we've opted to have our own Unicorns as you know.
With that, we're going to have two leagues of 8 teams. A north/midland league and a southern league.
Two leagues of 8, the top 2 from each advance to the semis and so on!
The leagues will look like this:
South - Gregers' League
Surrey
Sussex
Somerset
Kent
Middlesex
Hampshire
Essex
Unicorns
North/Midlands - My league.
Leicestershire
Lancashire
Yorkshire
Durham
Warwickshire
Worcesteshire
Northamptonshire
Nottinghamshire

Fair play to Gregers for letting me have Sussex even though he'd be entitled to having whoever he wanted as a runner.
He still gave himself Surrey, but still

Surrey Scummers is better than Surrey Brown Caps! Giving you the Sharks was a hard decision Marky.
No one else asked for Essex cf!

Re: English Premier League (EPL)
Is it just me that thinks that:
Somerset Sabres, Hampshire Hawks, Yorkshire Phoenix and Middlesex Crusaders
are better t20 team names than:
Somerset CC, Hampshire Royals, Yorkshire Carnegie and Middlesex Panthers

I assume that EU players (Kyle Coetzer and Niall O'Brien for me) also count as English ?

Rules/format will be very similar to the IPL I ran. Some changes tho. Hopefully an EPL subsection will go up today in which case the rules will be posted. That should also mean that people can start putting their teams up and trades can open.
Auction will (fingers crossed) by next week with the first week of matches being the following week.
Confirmed Star Players (£500k minimum bid):
Sachin Tendulkar
Virendar Sehwag
MS Dhoni
Dale Steyn
Jacques Kallis
AB de Villiers
Shane Watson
David Warner

Do the weaker teams get a bigger budget? Surely that's fair?

Gregers, I think malinga and afridi should be added to the star players but it looks good apart from that

Re: English Premier League (EPL)
Kent and Leics will start with £1.5 million (.5 higher than others)
Unicorns will start with £1.75 million
---
Simple rules:
Each franchise starts with £1million (except the above). You get more money by releasing players (prices decided per individual player by me and Sainty). This money is used for purchasing players from the auction.
Auction runs throughout week 1 (next week hopefully), different players available on different days. Open 9am to 9pm, highest bid at 9 wins the player. Players divided into 4 categories. "Star, High, Mid, Low". Star players base value is £500k so bidding starts at that price, high at £300k, mid at £150k and Low at £75k. Players can also be traded between teams, this is done as player swaps with no cash changing hands. All released players can be bought by any team for £50k more than their release price.
One match per week for 8 weeks (play each team once). Match day squad must have a minimum of 6 UK/EU players (2 Kolpak player max). Minimum 4 under 25s in the match day squad as well. Tactics are your playing 11 plus what you'd do if you won the toss, batting tactics and bowling tactics written as well as much or as little as you want.
Top 4 in each league will reach the quarters with the top 2 getting a home tie.
Hopefully that clears that up a bit

Has Afridi resigned for hants? If not then he'll be in the star bracket.
Malinga was a genuine oversight, meant to put him in it.
Re: English Premier League (EPL)
Thanks for clearing up the rules. One last thing, how much would you expect to release someone for? Ball park figures for a good county pro for example

Re: English Premier League (EPL)
Good county pro (no international caps) will be between £50k and £200k more than likely. Depends on who it is and how well known they are

You need to make this a subject header then, so I can post my team page under it!

Re: English Premier League (EPL)
Key, Northeast, Stevens, Mahmood, Tredwell, Jones and Cook are all pretty damn good mate.
Stevens is the world leader for t20 domestic runs. Northeast is quality and Key and Mahmood are rated very highly.
