Re: English Premier League (EPL)
Question. Are we using the 2011 T20 squads? Or waiting for the 2012 squad. Sussex signed Scott Styris for 2012, so I need to know an answer of some sort.

It's open till 9 so everyone can participate, even I'm affected in the day time.
Still a bit confused as to why I was just chastised for offering Hodge help though...

Re: English Premier League (EPL)
A quick question Gregers:
Why do Kent (quarter-finalists), Leics (winners) and Unicorns (made up of 3 teams who did better than Northants) from last year's real life T20 get more money than my Northants side, who were hopeless? I'm not really that bothered, and am looking forward to the challenge, but I know Kent with Azhar, Stevens, Key, Wahab, G. Jones and some good youngsters are a better squad than Northants in the short form. Leics is more debatable on paper but they are champions.

Thats an oversight Shelsey, Northants are in the extra money group too.
Sorry for that

Re: English Premier League (EPL)
We've based it on the squads as they are.
Leicestershire, whilst being Champs, have lost a number of good players and the only notable talent who'd get into the top teams are Razzaq and Sarwan.

Leics, Kent and Northants will receive the extra amount, the unicorns will receive more again.

Re: English Premier League (EPL)
Guys, as you will see I have called the sub-section '606v2 fantasy league pavilion'. Within this is contained 2 further sub-sections: 1 keeping details of last years IPL, the 2nd being for the EPL, so please post all EPL related posts in that sub-section.
Please give me a few days to move all of the old IPL threads in to the IPL sub-section, and then the main space will be free for general fantasy league discussion.
Hope that's satisfactory, any problems give me a shout.
Thanks.

Re: English Premier League (EPL)
Gregers, Sainty.
As discussed a week or 2 back, I've built an Excel spreadsheet to generate a list of injured players each round. It just needs to have squad lists pasted into it, and a decision on the probability of a player being injured (I've gone with 5% initially, i.e. on average a player will miss 1 game in 20 which means teams will probably have 1 or 2 squad members injured each match).
Once the squads are in, each round you enter a new "seed" number (I'd suggest getting someone in the comp to pick a number between 1 and 999,999) when the round is set up.
Drop me a PM and we can arrange sending you both copies of it.

That is awesome Kiwi, do you want to be in charge of injuries for us?

Can doGregers wrote:That is awesome Kiwi, do you want to be in charge of injuries for us?
We'll have to make sure the player lists are kept up-to-date in it, but otherwise it should work fairly well. I've deliberately set it up so that anyone with a copy of the spreadsheet can plug in the same "seed" number, and get an identical result (can you tell I've been dealing with auditors lately).

Re: English Premier League (EPL)
according to the wikipedia page Van Der Merwe is still listed, anyone know what to do with that as i also have Phillander, Morkel and Gayle. I THINK they're trying to see if they can keep him under kolpak but i'm not entirely sure.

My advice to everyone would be to use the Counties website as a guide, probably more correct.

I would say that would, in most cases, be no more or less reliable than Wikipedia. Use the squads you find on Wiki/club sites and then make changes based on the county ins and outs page on the BBC or elsewhere.
