Re: English Premier League (EPL)
Id imagine some of the survey lads would be interested in this... As its EPL we might attract people who didn't want to do the IPL due to lack of knowledge of Indian cricket.
Re: English Premier League (EPL)
well i can help run it if ya like mate, its completely up to u, let me know

Re: English Premier League (EPL)
IMO it would be easier to run the league you are in, however that is up to you
i assume i wont be runnning a league, if you and saint are already running one, because fists will want to run one wont he....:/

Re: English Premier League (EPL)
I haven't decided yet CF, think its easiest if people choose but will have to see what other people think
Basic rules/format:
Basic rules/format:
- Max 5 overseas per matchday 11 (Maybe count Irish as non-overseas?)
- Minimum 4 under 25s per matchday 11
- Starting budget of £1 million
- Draft before week 1, same as IPL
Re: English Premier League (EPL)
well if we are getting to choose then can I HAVE ESSEX PLEASE?
Guest- Guest
Re: English Premier League (EPL)
I am definitely interested, and I would say it would be better if the teams were randomly assigned as there some teams that are clearly "better" than others. And after the IPL I think people will know what to do now and will be more coy in trading players so the better starting sides would have more of an advantage. The other option is to give the weaker sides a greater starting budget but that would become subjective then to who is actually weaker!
Anyway, there is plenty of time to ponder it. No rush to get it started.

Re: English Premier League (EPL)
Middlesex have Denly now, so that sorts a problem a bit. Mat wants Worcs so not a problem.
What if Gloucs, Glam, Derby, Kent and Northants started with 1.25 million?

Re: English Premier League (EPL)
I havent visited this forum often these days as I am busy but I am still very interested in this and if I am not mistaken I have been picked as the assistant to all the three chief organisers.
And if we are picking teams then I would love Notts or Somerset or Hampshire.

Re: English Premier League (EPL)
If there is more than 1 person who wants a particular team then I think it should be drawn.
To make it more fair I also think all England contracted players should be added to the Auction.
How would kolpak/eu qualified players work?

Re: English Premier League (EPL)
Hi all,
I know I said last year I wasn't really interested in an EPL, but at the time I assumed it'd be running alongside the IPL one and I didn't think I had time to commit to two comps.
Count me in. I live in Middlesex, and my closest English ancestors came from Middlesex & Hampshire, so would be interested in those 2 counties, though I wouldn't be upset if I didn't get either.

Re: English Premier League (EPL)
I know this isn't the same, but does anyone know if Cricinfo still do their fantasy county cricket game? It was quite fun but I can't find anything about it now.

Re: English Premier League (EPL)
The rules are still being finalised but on the whole they will be similar to those used in the Fantasy IPL

Re: English Premier League (EPL)
Even after reading the rules I'm not 100% sure what is going on but I'm sure I'll pick it up so I'll give it a go. Living in Hertfordshire, picking a county is tough (when I watch county cricket live it is Middlesex but I am hardly a die-hard supporter). Therefore, I'll take what's given to me or pick what's left.
