You gotta be pleased with that Pooly. Gopperth has been much maligned recently, but having been outscored by 3 tries to 2 ultimately his boot has won you the game.

How much attacking play did he stifle though.....I really don't know. He is a top kicker though and will come into his own in the winter

I've not watched the game Pooly, so can't answer that, my comment is made solely taking the scores at face value.

The 9 and the 12 scored off a crash apparently so shows how much we tried to play.

I don't see how Gopperth is so unpopular with fans. Fitzpatrick is as one dimensional a rugby player I've ever seen and the rest of the backline has nothing more than physicality to it.

Good to see the Gopperth Falcons win another game one day Newcastle'll turn up too

To be fair the only reason Goppereth scores so many points is because were chasing games all the time so he has to tick the board over to keep us in the game.

Our scott(cousin with a season ticket) said he had a solid game , service was pretty good but made a few poor kicks - mind you he sounded half cut when he rang me.

Big win for Sale today. Althought Bath were depleted it still took some doing to get the win.

Just watched the Wales match, never have I seen my old man shed tears at the anthem or shout so loud for someone to score....you couldn't write it....what a player, what a gentleman fair play Shane we'll miss you!!

This won't be popular with you prop or perhaps with others but I still consider Jason Robinson to be the better player out of him and Williams.

I am looking forward to Wasps v Quins tomorrow. Some great young players on show, Robshaw at 8 as well.

Steve, I just had a chat with my old man and we said that, of the players who you knew would be playing their final ever game and the modern winger those two have to be on top.

Can anyone shed some light as to why Wood and Tuilagi were sent off? I assume it was a fracas but were they justified?

Looking for a hooker, number eight and winger lads.

Steven/Prop - Ashton is a complete wind up merchant and really goes after Tigers as the two clubs don't get on.

He tackled Tuilagi to the ground and then to get him into touch had one hand on his collar and the other he dragged him by his dreadlocks. Tuilagi got up and pushed Ashton into the hoarding boards - players flew in from both sides, but in all honesty it was more Courtney Lawes from Saints and Geordan Murphy who did more than the others.

Murphy definitely swung the most punches of anyone, Lawes involvement probably caused more to run in and Wood threw a few more. Tuilagi was hard done by with a red (would have been with a yellow too!) - Murphy, Wood and possibly Lawes and Agulla should have got yellow cards. Though if you watch the fight keep an eye out for the poor ball boy who gets caught up in the fight - the look of fear on his face as 20 18st plus rugby players punch each other all around him!

Always happens with these two teams, they are both best at 'cheating' and playing dirty etc - worst case was Agulla's winning try - watch the highlights and keep an eye on Foden. He gets completely taken out off the ball and its no wonder Mallinder has hit out at the ref.

I'm sure I've just seen the worst video ref decision I've ever seen. Smith's try is grounded on the touch in goal line.

You are right Chris, Murphy had to go if Wood and Tuilagi did.

Smith's try was never a try - not in a million years - i was at my brother's stag do yesterday so was watching the game on and off, but as sure Smith's try went to video ref and it was still given?

The Agulla one should never have been a try either.

Saints have suffered some appalling decisions in big matches recently, starting with the Munster game and now this - thought Ashton's try was brilliant, wish England used him like that.

Am at Half time and Foden is playing well but the Saints pack and Youngs are really struggling.

Samu Manoa also looks a class act. He was very good v Sale eary in season and has been very decent in this game.

Manoa is a good player, he is very similar to Lawes - think he will suffer because he didnt grow up playing top class rugby, believe he came from a club in San Francisco and then passed up his chance to play in the WC to play for Saints.

He's very raw, but an impressive player - saw him against Wasps a few weeks ago and when you swap Lawes and him around you arent losing a lot around the pitch in terms of massive hits!

Nieto killing corbs. How we are losing i don't know though.

garvey was brilliant. Him and Robson have been outstanding English locks in the AP.
dull game, typical sarries, irish so much ball and territory, but missing delon, hape, joseph and tagi showed today. hodgson so poor allinson was much better when he came on.

If Robinson could kick Wasps would be winning this. Joe Simpson is causing the Quins back row so many problems , made some cracking fringe brakes.

Hopper's try was some great work from Robshaw and Marler.

Magnificent try from Quins. A great bit of handling and a superb finish from Mike Brown.

Quins playing very well here. Marler and Gray magnificent in the loose but have both struggled in set piece at times against what is a fairly average Wasps set piece.

Brown, Matthews and Wallace also playing well.

didn't give enough credit to Robshaw for his work in the Brown try. Don't want Pooly after me

Robshaw has been immense

Good finish by Southwell , Brown didn't seem to make an attempt to tackle him.

Wallace got MoM. Was a superb performance from Quins without Robson, Kohn, Easter, Guest, JTH and Lowe.

Today was the first time I got a look at Garvey for the full 80 mins. To me he looks like a great foil for Lawes. As long as Croft and Wood are in the back row there is is no lineout issues. Could be an option down the line.

Have to say I saw a lot more in Garvey than I have from Attwood this season.
