This might go down as the worst idea ever with you lot but fortune favours the brave and all that....

One of the other sections has a thread where people post something they truly believe in but goes against popular opinion. In other words, let us know something outlandish which you believe to be true.

Dont make them up and remember the house rules before you go and tear people apart for their post - remember its their opinion and they are entitled to it.

So for example, you might think that Manny won the fight on Saturday comfortably or that Tyson v Bruno had the best opening round ever - let us hear about it and don't be ashamed! Share with your secrets with us all......

Remember - dont post things just to get a reaction. Only post things you actually believe in.

I believe that Floyd Mayweather Jr lost to Jose Castillo quite clearly first time round.

I also believe that Lennox Lewis beats any heavyweight in history other than Muhammad Ali and possibly George Foreman.

Jack Sharkey could have, and should have, been remembered as a genuinely great heavyweight had his discipline and attitude matched his physical gifts and boxing talent.

Not sure if this is controversial or unpopular but I actually think Primo Carnera could fight. I also think De La Hoya is on the whole massively over rated.

I prefer Manny Pacquiao to Floyd Mayweather.

Pre 1910 fighters were, on the whole, more limited than later generations.

Margarito didn't look shot against Pacquiao.

Oddly enough Waingro seemed to rate Marciano whereas azania seemed to rate Dempsey. They could probably have a pretty good argument if put together.

I believe that Hagler's performance against Mugabi was calculated and brave to not only win, but to remove a challenger totally from the board.

Not just D4, archbritishchris suggested it as well when they were both maniacally defending the decison to fight Margarito. Of course, D4 denied he said it even when presented with documentary evidence of him saying it.

Back to the topic - Although I rate Joe Louis higher as a heavyweight, I think that Tunney would beat him.

In all seriousness - this thread could be excellent if we keep the silly comments away and actually justify why you actually feel strongly about something against the general consensus

In all fairness Hobo I did fork out the £15 at the weekend and enjoyed listening to Steve Collins so that statement is kind of true to a point haha
