First topic message reminder :

Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.

The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the wedding pictures of Dan Carter and Honor Dillon above the bar! And if anyone tells the Australian Womens' Weekly that KiwiRedDevil's Mum smuggled a camera into the service* there'll be hell to pay - they paid a fair amount for the exclusive Wink Run

So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

* Note to any lawyer-y types, that's a joke and is completely and utterly false, Mum forgot to put the camera in her handbag

MrsP, I think it's because you imagine she is saying something nice about you even though she's not. You haven't a clue what your wan is saying but you think it's something amahzing.

There was a lad in my year from away SW of Enniskillen and I swear, for the first 6 months I hadn't a Scoobie what he was saying.

It got so bad that I even stopped asking him to repeat what he had said and just made as none commital and vague replies as I could manage!

MrsP, Strabane Grammar couldn't beat anyone at Rugby*. Was referring to that time Ballymena Academy bate Methody in the semi final a few years back, have a few uni friends that went there, it was crazy.

Sure who likes Meothdy anyway?

So, would you explain why this ewe was so expensive?

Will she have more lambs that are sold to eat or will she produce more milk or wool than the other ewes?

It's the same reason why Gucci bags are so expensive. Pedigree breeding is all about wanting to own and produce the best. That drives people to pay high prices for a small number of the most desirable stock. The irony is that other buyers just play the numbers game and buy to a budget. Poor ewes are very expensive relatively speaking because there is a customer out there for every pure bred ewe up to a certain figure, no matter how much rubbish she will produce, the best are hugely expensive, see above, but the ones that fall in-between are cheap comparatively to the poor ones as they will do a good job but won't necessarily produce any stars.

Just got back from Quintan Rugby's Christmas bash in Stamford Brook. Old playground of mine.

Large drops of whiskey taken. Great craic and passion from their players and staff. I love rugby. And some of the looneys who play it. Most of the people Ive met supporting it. But. I've never seen so many naked male arses (in a pub) - in me life. It was their ritual dance. Apparently...

Happy Man. So much fun.

Missed the Leinster game. 1st time in 7/8 years. Dont care.

I love rugby. Proper whiskEy. And the compamy of smart, sexy wimmin. With bad attitudes.

I had a horrible day at work yesterday, left home at 7.00 and got back in at 20.55, not a good day to be Phil.

All I wanted to do was shower, pour a stiff drink and watch the Leinster - Bath game that I'd got on Sky +.

"I just want to watch the final of Strictly Shoite Dancing" said Mrs Holybloke "then you can watch the game".

"But I've got to be up at 7.00 tomorrow and I could do with a good kip. Can't you record the final and watch it tomorrow when you've got all day?" Says I in what I think is a reasonable attempt to get my own way for a change.

"It's only on for an hour" she retorts "and besides, you really wont want to watch that after such a bad day." Shocked

Nice.

If I didn't love her so much - I dread to think..... steam

Congratulations to the boys in blue, I said before the two games that it would be a good indicator of where Bath are as a team and it is. I can't see Bath in anything other than the Amlin next year, and I think 3rd place in the group is the best they can hope for.

Changes need to be made down the Rec, it's a classic case of all the gear and no idea.

I'm off to do some collar, have a good day all. OK

I think she's actually done you a favour there PJ thumbsup

The difference between the quality of the sides was not great, but the style and execution on the part of Leinster as a team was phenomenal. How many teams can make losing BOD look like an irrelevance? I've said it elsewhere but it was Total Rugby and when they play like that nobody in Europe stands a chance.

The only chance for the rest of us is that they are peaking too soon or that the 6N will knock the stuffing out of them. However Kidney coaching Ireland will mean that not too many players will get called into the National squad.

Hopefully better MrsP!! Can't get an idea of how the match is going to go though, I just want the Scarlets to actually turn up and perform today. What was so disappointing last week was that they just didn't play well, and I know the players were all disappointed with h ow they performed. Hopefully they'll rectify that later!

It was a really good performance alright Glas, good to see Luke Fitzgerald playing with a smile on his face again. Thought Toner was class too, and Kearney played a very clever game. Shame about conceeding the late tries though. Hopefully we haven't peaked early!
