First topic message reminder :

Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.

The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the wedding pictures of Dan Carter and Honor Dillon above the bar! And if anyone tells the Australian Womens' Weekly that KiwiRedDevil's Mum smuggled a camera into the service* there'll be hell to pay - they paid a fair amount for the exclusive Wink Run

So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

* Note to any lawyer-y types, that's a joke and is completely and utterly false, Mum forgot to put the camera in her handbag

I think it really hurt the Dragons when Brew came off, he'd been having a pretty good game for you guys. Can't really comment on the Chiefs, although their 2 took his try really well, but then I missed the rest of their comeback! Sounded a great atmosphere at the stadium though, great to hear both sets of fans competing, and I can't help it but I love the chants from the Chief

Thats awful Thomond. My condolances.

Anyone else hear about the changes to the Welsh regions.

The Ospreys are being rebranded as the Canaries
Cardiff Blues get relaunched as Cardiff Sunflowers
Newport - Gwent Dragons will be the Mustard Dragons
Scarlets become the Great Yellow Cyclops

Apparently it is more fitting with their yellow belly approach to rugby Whistle

You would probably get confused with either Northampton or the New Orleans Saints. Could stephen Jones or Rhys lead something like this?

Stag, we're a "team in transition" with a 100% record not bad at all. Dreamer it's a fella who plays with Saints NFL team who does these big chants before the game it's pretty unusual.

To be honest Thomond, I think we've been incredibly flukey and could have easily lost all 4 games. Still you make your own luck I suppose. We've had our near misses over the years - we'll enjoy this while it lasts.

Ah okay, will have a look at that video later then Smile

BTW we are a team in transition. We have seen a host of very young players (19-22 years old) like Conor Murray, Simon Zebo, Peter O'Mahony, Danny Barnes, Stephen Archer, Tommy O'Donnell all play a role in our Heinken Cup campaign so far.

The likes of Leamy, O'Leary, Horan, Hayes, O'Callaghan are not first choice any more and more often then not are featuring from the bench. Team in transition is fair to me.

Thomond Hug . So sorry to hear your news.

Munster have done well to be unbeaten. How they will fair in the later stages will be interesting. Even though they should get a home QF, they just don't look as invincible as they once were.

Thats true Rava, though bringing Peter O'Mahony, David Wallace and Jerry Flannery/Mike Sherry into the team will add a huge amount to the pack. And Felix Jones ahead of Johne Murphy will be a big relief too.

It's ridiculous really Stag. Stevo has a fair few limitations to his game (such as his restarts, tis why Rhys was taking them yesterday), but I still think he's the best OH in Wales, by a long shot. He just doesn't fit in with the romanticised view of the 10 shirt here for some people, but there's a reason why he's had the shirt so long when the likes of Harries, Hook, Henson, Robinson etc have been unable to take the shirt from him. He's better. Priestland is on his way to becoming a very good 10, but he still needs to get some consistency in his game, and learn how to play behind a more beaten pack.

Also there's a fact that he's a Scarlet, and hey we're hated quite a lot in Wales Wink

It isn't him Thomond, tis the wonderful Nige.

Scarlets fans are convinced he favours the O's. O's fans are convinced he favours the Scarlets. Last year when he reffed us he made 2 rather shockers of a decision, with both sets of fans rubbishing his performance. I'll be expecting more of the same this year.

He doesn't live in the region anymore, does all his training using the O's facilities and is seen to be very friendly with a lot of the O's player. A lot of it is gossip mind.

Personally I don't think he favours either. Nige is a great ref, but like all others can make mistakes, nothing more sinister to it then that.

I think for Welsh derbies though, we shouldn't be having a Welsh ref at all anyway, it just winds up both sets of fans
