Another injury, solves the back row selection issue to an extent. Croft gets lucky I would say, unless Clark trumps him.

Robshaw must now become favourite for captaincy, unless they go for Hartley because he is a sure starter and already club captain, but the fact that he is a bit of t wat might go against him!

6 Croft
7 Robshaw
8 Morgan

I like that backrow, would probably prefer Wood over Croft and Croft as impact but that could work.

Good for all parties I would say with EPS going and Tindall getting worse and worse. He could step up and really make the England shirt his own, be good to have a variety of options with Barritt as well

Not sure about how good it is for Leicester though. Seems like they might have almost competely new backline next season.

Grindal, Allen, 36, Alesana, Hamilton, Agulla all potentially leaving

I imagine Allen will resign and Miles Benjamin has signed too. Big rumours that Bowden is coming in. Grindal isn't a great loss tbh.

9. Youngs
10. Flood
11. Benjamin
12. Bowden/Allen
13. Tuilagi

15. Tait

Still looks pretty tasty, Ive heard rumours of Hosea Gear but nothing confirmed.

Gear just signed for the Highlanders I think, so I doubt it.

Forgot about Benjamin, good signing that. Garvey also at end of contract, he should easily get a contract with a better club I think.

Think Irish would seriously struggle without Bowden, he is the heartbeat of their attack, they look so lost without him.

Think where Gopperth goes could determine a lot of transfers and a bit of a roundabout. Matt Smith has also impressed me though.

Looking forward to seeing more of Ford during internationals. Grindal no loss at all, but Tait is only an option if he stays fit for more than 30 mins and then there is no guarantee he still has the talent, must have lost a lot of pace due to the injuries.

Big fan of Benjamin, he'll do well with a bit of ball at Tigers.

Skivington off to Irish possibly, think Kitchener may step up a little next season. Slater has really looked good this season and adds that grunt that Deacon does with a carrying game.

Be interesting to see how Ford develops, haven't been overly impressed when hes turned out but still young.

Apparently all the Worcestor fans rate Garvey much higher, which surprised me.

Hope Bath are considering Skivington as well. Kitchener needs to play more to make that move worthwhile.

I could probably see that as Garvey tends to make something from nothing which is needed at Worcester with the way they play.

Benjamin has more of a complete package as a player (defence/size/youth) and seems to shine when put with better players. Hes been with the Saxons for a while now and often looks one of the best players on show.

Garvey has weaknesses that would be shown up against top draw opposition, defence and tracking back for starters, also not great under the high ball and not much of a kicking game.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Benjamin turning out for England after a bit of time with Tigers.

Very interesting from Cockerill. Looks like some Islanders and SAs coming then? Maybe more Salvi / Hamilton type signings.

Some fantastic Heineken Cup rugby today. In amongst it all though Exeter beat Perpignan to make the Amlin quarter finals. That is some achievement, really liking what Rob Baxter is doing down there on a very limited budget. Just shows what team spirit and good old fashioned hard work can achieve.

Connacht were immense last night. To have so little ball and win takes a real effort, making tackle after tackle is very draining.

Yeah, rubbish side Pooly, and probably not up for it knowing that winning the Amlin is the only way they will qualify for next seasons Heineken Cup...

Joffrey Michel, Farid Sid, David Marty, Gavin Hume, Adrian Plante, James Hook, David Mele; Perry Freshwater, Charles Geli, Benoit Bourrust, Romain Taofifenua, Robins Tchale-Watchou, Gerrie Britz, Jean-Pierre Perez, Romain Bezian.
Replacements: Marius Tincu, Jerome Schuster, Kisi Pulu, Olivier Olibeau, Guilhem Guirado, Florian Cazenave, Nicolas Laharrague, Jerome Porical.

It was a weakened side Pete and Exeter are a very good team at home, as I said I expected an Exeter win. USAP are poor travellers.

Not starting: Mermoz, Mas, Guirado, Schuster, Coetzee, Boulonge, Olibeau, Tonita, Chouly.

Pretty much a 2nd string pack, I suspect USAP's sights weren't really on the Amlin, it's seen as pretty much a joke competition in France. Only Toulon seem to take it seriously and they still go in pretty weak much of the time.

Given that a French team has made the final in 4 of the last 5 seasons I wouldn't say it is seen as a joke competition in France to be honest.

Brive also looked to be taking it pretty seriously on Thursday night, likewise Stade Francais today, and also Toulon, all of whom seem likely to make the quarter finals.

It gets very little coverage and sides don't tend to go in strong till the quarter or semi's when interest picks up a bit.

I just don't see how a full strength top 6 AP side beating a second string bottom 5 T14 side is such a shock. Exeter are a cracking team at home I would have been very surprised if they hadn't have came away with something.

USAP are having a stinking season and have sent nearly their reserve pack over!
