The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the picture of David Sisi, Jannie de Beer and Glen Webbe above the bar!
So pull up a chair....what'll it be?

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
This is going to get lost so I will post it again:
Evening all haven't been on much lately. SUFTUM reflects the mood I'm in.
One more thing, last year Cork was voted in the top 10 places in the world by Lonely Planet and an article in I think the Irish Indo yesterday said everything good in Ireland can be found here. So yeah,it's officially amazing.

Hi folks. About to head out to see what Rovigo has to offer...
It's not that big a place, but it is supposed to be a rugby town so I may find a bar showing Ulster v Tigers.

Evening all, Jannie de Beer is forever burnt in my memory from a certain WC QF game and Sisi is the young backrow Turk at the Exiles - Glen Webbe is a blank for me I'm afraid.
Mrs Holybloke is watching Celebrity Big Shoite tonight so I'm watching the game in Junior Holybloke's room - he's gone to see Goon at the moving picture house.
I've a feeling Leicester will sneak it..........

I've only heard of the first one, Cari!
Ooo juts got myself all dressed up (as in I'm actually wearing a dress - that never happens!) , just my hair and makeup to do and I'm off out. Fun fun fun!

Pj, there's an Irish person in CBB I don't watch it though. Reality TV is just god awful.

PJ - I'm afraid MrsPJ is on her own there....I haven't watched BB for years - the novelty wore off years ago for me. I probably wouldn't know half of the "celebrities" these days! Going to watch the O's match online myself.

Yeah T, I saw her last night when I inadvertently went to bed early, she's an absolute beauty as it happens but she's been voted off I think.
How can it be reality TV when they're surrounded by cameras and microphones? I just don't get it.
Give me National Geographic or Discovery any day, History Channel, Panorama, a good drama..... but most of all rugby.

Noted Adam, now there's just the small task of me having to remember that....

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Adam - why Nigel Walker? Just curious.
PJ - I rarely watch telly which is odd - usually I'll stick on a DVD or I end up watching the iPlayer because what I want to watch is on too late or something.
Dreamer - enjoy your night out...it's going to be freezing though so be sensible. Wear gloves.

As it happens I recognised one of them, Michael Madsen - the ear cutter from Resevoir Dogs - but he doesn't look like the years have been kind to him since then.
Enjoy the game Cari.

No idea!
He is a bit of a cult fave for me - I always thought he was useless for Wales, hence why I like him. I remember one game where he came in at half time in a prestine kit, whilst every other player was caked in mud due to the conditions. He hadnt made one tackle! (I am Welsh by the way!)
Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Fair enough Hobo. He's quite high up in Welsh rugby now isn't he? Or at least he was.

Surely he just hurdled all the tackles?

Can someone post a link to the Six nations SG pool please? I've found one, but I don't know if that's what everyone's using? Or if there's a 606v2 one? Thanks.

Glen Webbe!!!
Crikey, I remember him playing for Bridgend in a game on BBC Grandstand back in the 80s.
I am sure he was the first black player to play for Wales.
Penfro will know for sure.

Just got a text from MrsP. She's now sitting right beside Richard Cockerill in the posh box seats with Rav!
Man, he'd better behave himself.
SUFTUM!

Re: The Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub
Anyway, feicen eyeties; they even manage to look stylish in the middle of winter
Trawled round this lovely looking town and can't find anywhere showing rugby. May have to head back to the hotel as they have Sky. 8 other Waspies in the same hotel as me but they are eating in what is supposed to be the highly recommended restaurant there.
No other Wasps encountered tonight so far.
Bueno sera.
For now.
