The Official 2013 Wales v England bickering thread.
First topic message reminder :
2013 bickering thread
OK, every year we see threads that actually contain really good rugby discussion derailed by the ongoing Wales vs England bickering and WUMMING! I will name no names. I guess we have all been guilty.
Since most of the general bickering comes from the respective fans of Wales and England ; I thought I would create a thread for it in an effort to keep decent rugby discussion relatively WUM free in other threads.
Let it commence

Not true, well from a Welsh perspecitve, as the Welsh didn't have surnames. So a lot were given and then passed on through the generations. At the time of the Norman conquest/breeding period, William/Robert was the most popular name so a lot of families took these names throughout England and Wales.
You get can Welsh surnames though, they are usually the fathers names anglecised.
I have a semi-anglisied (i think) welsh surname, well west carmarthenshire/permbrokshire surname, so I am happy.
What I was getting at is that the Y chromosone (which links father to son, like the surname) can be traces, and you can trace the majority of surnames, like job based, Mc/O'/Ap/Van Der etc, to a specific area and in somecases time.

Here's something you might not know: the roof of the Olympic aquatic centre was made in Newport, by a company called Rowecord whose factory I pass on my way to work.

The point is don t ever listen to an article from french data as to are the english arrogant and unwelcoming. It really is seen the other way around.
New york is rude, london is rude, Paris is rude- Basically Big cities are 'rude'. That is nothing to do with the way the population acts though , just the way big cities can seem to. The french on the other hand are renowned for being arrogant
The French girl I sit next to at work (she's originally from near Toulouse) insists she's never going to live in Paris again as the locals are so much ruder than Londoners.
As far as the whole ethnic background thing goes, I have English, Scottish, Irish, French, Welsh, Scandinavian and Maori ancestry (plus probably a few others that I don't know of). So I'm just going to stick with "Kiwi" and be done with it - my great great great great great grandfather was the first European to be buried in the South Island.

I confess I do avoid the world city of London these days, excepting family visits. It is a country apart.
But as originally a Londoner (my sister was a volunteer gamesmaker) I feel proud of the hospitalty extended to over 200 nations and the positive responses from those visiting people in the last 2 weeks. Even the French enjoyed it.

There's no foxes in NZ, they're a problem in Aus though. Rabbits, ferrets and stoats were all introduced - the rabbits for meat/fur, the ferrets/stoats for fur and to hunt down the rabbits.
The ferrets and stoats quickly discovered native birds were easier prey, while the rabbits bred like err rabbits, and can turn a high country paddock barren in no time flat
My closest UK-born ancestor was the son of the Hillingdon police constable in the 1880s, - I live a mile from where he was born! And the building next door to work was the offices for the New Zealand Company in the 1841 - it even has an NZ Historic Places Trust plaque on it, so some of my ancestors walked past my work on there way from swapping the life of a Hampshire shepherd for that of an NZ sheep farmer*.
*Yes I am descended from 7 generations of sheep farmer. Cliche boxed ticked!

Its all a perception isnt it. Go to cuba and everyone on the outside is as happy as larry. On the inside they are clearly not..
USA have this whole almost fake persona. I am sure many are very genuine , but its the way they can come across, and that is not related to standard of living

yeah i know but there was foxes at one time- they just killed them all off with there dogs and they didnt take in the long run..They introduced them in the mid 19th century.
We in South london suburbs have more parrots than pigeons these days. Noisy fellas they are.. Its amazing - when i was 14 there was one small area in beckenham that had a couple of breeding parrots. Now in 20 years the population has gone through the roof

Emack says a grandslam doesn't count if you've only beaten 4 other teams. It has to be 5.

How far do people think Wales might drop in the irb rankings if they fail to turn up against Samoa?

No, but it does then mean Scotland have never won a Grand Slam.

HESHE Wales beat England the last outing , that's all that matters.

True.
