The Official 2013 Wales v England bickering thread.
First topic message reminder :
2013 bickering thread
OK, every year we see threads that actually contain really good rugby discussion derailed by the ongoing Wales vs England bickering and WUMMING! I will name no names. I guess we have all been guilty.
Since most of the general bickering comes from the respective fans of Wales and England ; I thought I would create a thread for it in an effort to keep decent rugby discussion relatively WUM free in other threads.
Let it commence

France, England and Ireland all have a real chance, Wales might make an appearance but they're beginning to look a little light due to injuries to make a serious challenge for 6 nation glory.
So you're saying whoever wins, it will be a devalued 6 Nations anyway, as Wales are developing for the future (due to injuries) and Scotland have a new coaching setup. I wonder how light we will be, if you beat us in Cardiff Hershy boy?

haha, naughty Risca being tongue in cheek with Victor. Definitely not HERSH's style, so Victor is definitely just an innocent Bath bystander. Back to 6N rugby, yes it feels pretty close run thing at the top. England are on an upward curve, but will find Dublin a huge challenge, always has been in recent years. Away in Cardiff could be difficult if Wales can rediscover their Mojo, and nothing like a white shirt in front of them to help them find that elusive ingredient. I do not feel to bad about France at Twickenham. France have huge talent available but I have seen England's ability to shut that down home & away in recent years. So long as England do not doze off on the job, then France's talent should be contained for an England win.

I don't know about that, Gregor. If anything, on a mental level, playing against England causes us to struggle. The fear of losing is stronger. In an ideal world we'd treat it as just another game, but it never is, and probably never will be.

Just like to add that i don't believe Vic is Hersh as i haven't noticed any of Hersh's spelling idiosyncrasies. Also he hasn't Wummed anyone and has been nice to Welsh people!

Re: The Official 2013 Wales v England bickering thread.
Luckless, yes I can see both sides of that point.
The old England had difficulties with both Ireland in Dublin and with Wales in Cardiff. Not sure when we last won in Cardiff.
But hoping this not to be false new confidence, I believe we have seen a new England attitude against the top 2 sides in recent match ups, which I hope carries to the 6n. The England / Wales respective psycholgies, with the Cardiff factor too, well I think it is fascinatingly difficult to call at the moment.

Re: The Official 2013 Wales v England bickering thread.
Surely with the current Grand Slam champions so depleted by injuries this has to be an opportunity for the other nations to try and claim a GS of their own. It might be a devalued one but it would be a welcome one all the same given the barren years of the last decade for a lot of teams who aspire to greater things. Good luck to all of you this season

Are Wales the worst 'Grand Slam Champions' ever seeing as they haven't won in about a year?

Ruby, I though all GSs are devalued ? ....except when it is Wales
I am confident that an England / Ireland slam will be instantly devalued before the players even get out of the bath.

His spelling is fine now, but there's one mistake he always makes that gives him away. I don't mind Hershy being back. He's a better character than GG/AWOP/TPV

Vic is understated, polite, lacking ascerbic little digs or hiddebn sarcasms.
Does that sound like HERSH?

And the fact that HERSH has to make an effort to behave, otherwise he'll be banned again.

You're just a Bath fan who happened to appear a short time after HERSH was banned and have made some rather odd comments.

Jimpy, unnecessarily belligerent to an innocent new poster.
As in innocent until proven guilty (of anything).
PS: I'm a rival Glaws man, but Vic has done nothing beyond supporting Bath..

the only thing I have in common is that we were born on the same day, so by the standards on this site I guess that makes me him and its Mr Ubogu to you.

Ok, England has done its bit on here courtesy of Mr Ubogu as we now call him.
Can we now have a new user from Wales.
Maybe something like, say, 3haneW1ll1ams ? or 3arryDjon ?
MoffetsGhost was good what happened to him ?
Who's gonna start for Wales then ?

2nd Feb is a very special date for me. A confluence of all thing great if you will. In order of importance it is:
1. The first day of the 6 Nations
2. The day my homebrew is ready for its first outing.
3. The anniversary of me meeting my Wife
4. My birthday.
That is all.

Mr Ubogu, don't leave just yet. You chose an unfortunate zoo of a thread to get started on. OP carries a warning, it does say 'bickering'. Many other discussions on 606 are of most the most informed, civilised and enlightened type.

It was indeed gregor. It may yet be a little 'young' but after the first the taste buds are generally numbed. I've got 40 pints of 'Wedgery's Walloper' brewing so plenty to go around!
