First topic message reminder :

Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat. The pub has teleported to Mexico City for the first qualifying match for RWC 2015. There's also TVs showing Aviva Premiership, Rabobank Pro 12 and Super XV action.

The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the pictures of the Grand Slam Winners or Dan Carter who returns to rugby this weekend.

cheers biltong OK

Am not really all that happy with it though, I know I could have done a much better job (silly me for overindulging with the cider) but just really wanted to get something written for today.

Aaaah it's been such a lovely day today, juts an amazing weekend. Spent a good few hours in the park with some of my best mates earlier, which is brilliant because I pretty much never get to see them anymore. Proper happy times Smile

None indeed, I want to see our last two tries which sound like very good tries from the description. We apparently gifted them two soft tries through knock ons, bouncing balls and hack throughs.

Chilly 2 degrees here but sun is now out and looks like we will have another nice day as well.

Like Notch I am extremely disappointed in the lack of any video of the Ulster game. Technology bah!

Morning coffee

Back to Wales this afternoon...but first, another bike ride I think. I've been cycling a lot since I rediscovered the joys of it. Shame I haven't got a bike at home. Ah well....been a great weekend though. Feel like I've been on a holiday. Slept well, ate well and got loads of exercise.

Hope everyone's well and good. thumbsup

Definitely not Lucky!

Blues remaining fixtures: Glasgow (A), Ospreys (H), Edinburgh (H), Scarlets (A).

Dragons remaining fixtures: Connacht (H), Treviso (H), Ospreys (A), Leinster (H)

Reckon the Blues might actually only get 4 points from that,

You guys would have to win 3 out of yours to get level with them, or could you overtake them Lucky? Was thinking about this when I was writing up the match report, Blues are deffo going to be looking over their shoulder at the Dragons I think.

That it would Lucky. I really do love this time of the season!

Scarlets remaining fixtures: Edinburgh (A), Aironi (A), Munster (H), Blues (H)

As it stands, it's looking like the Munster game is going to be make or break for us (again!!) although it's not guaranteed we'll beat the two games beofre that either.

I don't know why our big crunch matches always seem to come against them. It's starting to get very irritating!

In all seriousness I will happily lose that match 100-0 if it means we go a round further in HEC.

Was chatting to the touch judge about the Mafi hit yesterday. Asked why he didn't recommend a yellow and he said he felt it was a legitimate attempt at a tackle and a penalty was sufficient.

Mornin all. Jayz, from having a Welsh girl who said she wouldnt cycle over here, I have this one (Cari) - hassling me twice a day saying "Da, can we go out on the bikes again?" She's really flying round the place now. Grand.

Its been really nice. The weather makes all the differ. But, O's winning at the RDS on Friday and the smile that came with it? Not cool. Very Happy

Munster shall pay for this next weekend. The rust has been shaken off now... I hope. The PRO12 results at the weekend, show that this comp is as serious as it gets. Great wins for Scarlets, Dragons and O's. Treviso also proving that they can take anyone in it. Unlucky at the end. Its official - the PRO12 Rocks.

Off out on the bikes in a mo. Have a lovely day y'all.

I thought the hit was fine personally. I thought there were several talking points from a saddo (I mean referee's) perspective.

1 - Mafis tackle v Connacht
2 - Biggars kick v Leinster
3 - Leinster being offered uncontested scrums

Other significant remaining fixtures;

Ulster; Aironi (H), Connacht (A), Leinster (H), Munster (A)
Glasgow; Cardiff (H), Munster (A), Treviso (A), Connacht (H)
Ospreys; Treviso (H), Cardiff (A), Dragons (H), Aironi (A)

Frustratingly, Ulster have probably the hardest run-in. Still expect us to win three out of four but don't think it will be enough.

Did you think that it deserved a yellow rodders?

Looked like a perfect hit to me, almost too good as he bounced him off and could'nt wrap. You can see that his intentions were to wrap. I didnt even think that it was a penalty to be honest.

Notch you should win 3/4.

You have Aironi up first away. Thats a doddle.

Then Connacht where you will be made to play right until final whistle but Ulster should get the win.

Leinster and Munster will be tough but both will be fighting on two fronts and the Pro12 may not be as important to them as winning the HEC semis. You could/should snatch one.

Did anyone see the incident involving Ben Youngs on the weekend? I heard something about him punching someone repeatedly in front of the touch judge, who did nothing about it.
