Re: Big Premier League Signings
Jan Vertonghan of Ajax to Spurs, M'Vila to Arsenal, Erik Pieters to Newcastle, Hazard to either Man City or Man Utd & I would expect Liverpool to go knocking on Aston Villa's door for a goalscorer in the name of Darren Bent.

Vertoghen will come to Arsenal. M'Vila wont. Does Wilshire count as a new signing? He will for Wenger.

I'd expect to see Kagawa signing for Utd, Gaitan was heavily linked in the past few weeks too.

Updated the table to include a fee so we can scrutinise even further
Don't think anything else has gone through, M'Vila is apparently going through next week.

Re: Big Premier League Signings
M'Vila would be very good for Arsenal but I don't think they've got the balls to make the signing.
Hulk at Chelsea to replace the Drog could be interesting, though they will have to make a decision whether to fully back Torres now or off-load him.

Hulks pricetag is pretty incredible as well

Hulk is really overrated. Admittedly, I've only seen 5 games involving him, but he's been really bad whenever I've seen him.

Yeh, his release fee is ridiculous isn't it?
But then there are only 3 teams in the world that could afford it - Chelski, Citeh and that Russki side that train 300 miles from the ground and really are a team full of mercenaries!

With the issues currently surrounding Torres I would expect the papers to be linking him with a swap deal for Falcao pretty soon.

Re: Big Premier League Signings
I'd love to see Falcao at Chelsea! And with him at Athletico Madrid, Torres's home team, it makes it very likely that all parties would love to see this happen. If Chelsea managed to pick up Falcao, Hazard, another striker assuming the Drog leaves and another defender I will feel a lot more confident about next season.

I heard about that. Would be a scarily good signing for Citeh but I don't think it will happen (at least not with Tevez going the other way)

I actually reckon they'd welcome their homeboy back, I'd presume they'd get a bit of cash to sweeten the deal and it would probably revitalise Nando's career.

They'd need a lot of money to sweeten the deal. Falcaos been one of the top strikers in Europe the last 2 years whereas Torres has struggled to play

The way Vertonghen marches forward you won't need one (though you may need another CB to cover for him!)

Can Vertonghen match Vermaelen? I don't know. At times he seems to be a liability when he goes forward.

Reminds me a great deal of a young Ferdinand back at West Ham/Leeds when he used to get the ball and just go through the centre.

What else is kicking about aside from dear old Eden? M'Vila to Arsenal, Vertonghen to Spurs.

Re: Big Premier League Signings
Got to say I wouldn't mind Defoe coming over to Old Trafford with Berba and Owen off, wouldn't cost a great deal and would grab a fair few goals to justify bringing him in. Whether we could offer him the amount of games he is craving is another thing though.

dont rate defoe, and seeing though we've already got hernadez dont see the need for another striker of that type, need more of a link up player in mold of a aguero or swap rooney for that role and get a lead the line striker like llorente

We've been linked with Lewondowski from Dortmund again. Looks a fantastic prospect but looks like costing us a fair bit.

yeah seems we have been linked at half the dortmund team with him, hummels and kagawa. probably just lazy journos though as fergie went there to watch a game and they couldnt make their mind up who to link us to!

I can't help thinking Hazard to Man Utd is a strange fit. If there is one area they do not need to strengthen it is attacking wide players. Also, Ferguson has been extremely reluctant to spend a lot on players from outside the Premier League since he was stung by the Veron deal. The only one I can think of recently is De Gea, and being a GK it is a slightly different proposition. He looks a decent prospect though, and with the crazy money flying around the market, maybe Fergie is more comfortable taking a slight leap of faith.

Got to spend big nowadays. But I think Fergie has realised even if he spends big in the PL, he can still end up with a flop (meaning Berbatov).

i agree with all the above and have said the same thing, the only thing i can think of he's finally had enough of nani trying to "fufill" his potential.
