Barrel's Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub & Restaurant, Luderitz
First topic message reminder :
Welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub - a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat. The pub has stayed in Africa this week as part of its build up to the Heineken Cup final, and attached itself to Barrels restaurant in Luderitz, Namibia, known for its beer, Eisbein and sing-a-longs.
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no defacing the pictures of Simon Danielli, Federico Aramburu and the possibly Auckland-bound Joe Schmidt.

All the best for the semi-final Hoog
I'd prefer Glasgow to win (The O's owe them and it would be easier to get to) I've still gone for Leinster by 17

Can't see Glasgow doing it in the RDS. The Ospreys are the only side that may have a chance there, and then not much.

I would like Glasgow to win, but only so I could go watch the final down at the Library.
Have picked Leinster by 5 I think it was though.
Pob lwc to all regs who have involvement in this one though
Hoog - Leinster were missing players though weren't they?

Say it might be down Hoog, I tried going via google and it didn't work there either so I don't know. Glas, you would be hard pushed to find a performance worse than Munster's last night.
No problems watching the match but i was trying to watch a channel on it earlier and it didn't owrk. Game is on TG4/BBC Alba and S4C. I get TG4 and tuned the other too to my satellite box. Of course I'm watching as Gaeilge.

Hope Ulster are taking inspiration from this. Of course, Leinster will play better next week regardless and Glasgow are still behind but we have to be as awkward as this to play against and offer more besides.

More of the oh feic, he might be out so everyone focuses on that in the build up and takes the pressure off the team.

It's (I'm sorry to say) an awful game.
Wish I'd taped the Llanelli game now so could just re-watch that.

Oh, I thought you were referring to he actual injury he's been playing with since the Lions tour. When you look at the facts, the man has no right to be on a rugby pitch! Just keeps going through sheer determination.
He's basically got one knee.

I know Notch, I'm taking the pish. He should barely be able to walk, he is playing a knee that from my understanding is suffering from pretty extreme athritis. (He has next to no cartilage in is knee doesn't he?)

That is amazing, he should barely be able to walk, he really can't have much longer to play rugby for.

Thats why I've been rolling my eyes at the Ulster posters who say we don't need to sign another backrower since we have Ferris, Henry and Wilson.
For all we know, Declan Kidney decides he desperately needs Ferris in NZ, Ferris takes a bad bang on the knee... thats it for him and we're desperately short in that area next season.

If Ferris knocks his knee off a table that could be it for him!

Notch I don't think anyone actually said that?
Ferris could bang his knee anytime, anywhere so if he's fit theres no reason he shouldn't be considered for NZ. Unfortunately he can't be wrapped in cotton wool.

Exactly. Ulster have one more NIQ spot to fill and it has to go on a blindside flanker. Ferris will be wheeled out for Ireland games and the occasional high profile Ulster game. I wouldn't be surprised if we get to the point he doesn't play in the Pro12 at all.

Re: Barrel's Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub & Restaurant, Luderitz
Glasgow have gained the respect of neutrals, but Leinster showed why they are just the best. A game win by 5 minutes of decent play and Sextin's boot.
I've no axe to grind on this one, but Clancy. He says "hands off leave it" whilst tapping Cullen on the shoulder - who completely ignores him. He then gives a maul. Lord preserve us. The players erupt into handbags and I can't blame them.
Can Nikkon Flip right off as well with their synthesised tosh music advert.

GLAS - I was a bit bemused by all that, I mean I've never seen players getting a 'shoeing' at a maul - FFS !!!

I stopped watching with 10 mins to go, I've enough reasons to go off rugby at the moment and that game didn't help. (although I'm a bit gutted now as I missed the Glasgow tries!)
I've actually been watching ITV+1 for BGT instead

I know Penfro, am only watching as I want to see Only Boys Aloud, apparently they perform Calon Lan absolutely brilliantly. They've not been on yet on the +1 channel I don't think (or I hope they haven't else I'm watching for nothing!)

Well done Leinster and Ospreys.
Leinster, could you please play like that next week?
Thank you!
Why did Clancy shout "Hands off" when the ball was nowhere near the ground?
