First topic message reminder :

Early try for Wales. Welsh scrum dominant, though they have lost their own lineout.

Wales also scored more points than NZ did against Fiji, and a bigger margin of victory. This has got to be their best-ever performance in the pool stahges of a junior tournament.

I hope the first-choice loosehead recovers from injury in time for Sunday's match, and everyone else pulls through and can play.

Yeah, Morgan and Habberfield are the stars in the midfield - but the reason we are boing so well is that the forwards are working so effectively.

Helps having a regional back 3 in Prydie, Jones and Walker.

wales606, Habberfield remind me a lot of Rob Jones. If he keeps this up, and gest plenty of game time at regional level, he'll play for Wales in the not-too-distant future. He uses box-kicking v intelligently, something that MP has yet to learn to do effectively. Morgan is probably the paciest 10 in world rugby -- he just needs to impove his defence and other aspects of his game.

Habberfield controls the game very well - he need to work on some other things, but it will be interesting to see who comes out on top between Webb - Biggar and Habberfield - Morgan.

That was the biggest winning margin by any team in the whole tournament which is very impressive

I think however that samoa were the architects of there own downfall at times, but they couldnt cope with the quick line speed of the welsh defence.

Get excited everytime Morgan gets on the ball atm, almost disappointed when he passes but Wales had quality centers today which gave the welsh backline a real cutting edge

I don't know either of Webb or Biggar but Habberfield-Morgan played very well. I have to say that Pascoe and Baker didn't do too bad either.

Webb is the Welsh SH most of us would like to see on the bench on Saturday, Biggar is the Ospreys starting 10 who should really be in the Welsh squad having beaten Leinster in Dublin with his final kick of the season.

They are the starting halfbacks for the Ospreys are were also the U20s halfbacks about 3 years ago.

wales606: Why is Gatland so loyal to Priestland then?? I am not a fan of Phillips but a lot of posters on this site has said that he is the best Wales have at moment.
My opinion is that Wales would be better off without Phillips.

Phillips is the best Wales have at the moment. Preistland is off form, but the only other option is Bigger (who is on form, but with little impressive on the international stage) or Hook (who has experience but is very inconsistent and prone to lose his head)
