I've always liked the hoops for Argentina. That top is a bit plain.

Chiefs.... helloooo young braves ! That may be an eye catching design, but in a very wrong way. Bit OTT, like their fans when they won at Kingsholm. I'll see if I can find a Glaws shirt.

yes, you are right, about that man.
And anyway what is it with all this Native American whooping stuff.
I thought the Brethren sailed from Plymouth.
What is the Exeter connection ?

Thats a poor effort, why don't clubs stick to their main colours anymore?
I liked Bath's euro shirt last term as it was just re-using a previous design, which is a nice idea. Just a shame we didn't stay in HC longer so everyone could look at it.

In the old amateur days of Exeter Rugby Club, the first team was always termed the Chiefs, as is fairly common in Devon and Cornwall (and is still in use at many clubs). With all the mileage that can be made out of the native american angle, it was an easy leap to call the pro team the Chiefsgregortree wrote:As Long As,

The O's one isn't out yet, I believe that this is a glimpse of the new Ulster one though, although I'm not bothered about the shirt here :

Glaws pink WAS last season - Europe version, hence we never saw it much. And the shop has no shame in still discounting the shirts like someone would want one. I guess Exeter is a one season time zone behind Glos on fashion matters.

Zut Alors, seems everyone is copying Stade Francais these days.
Like the French Kit, very retro. Wonder if they'll wear White shorts and Red socks.
The Tigers strip make me want to puke watching them move around in that is going to do funny things to my guts. As for their away strip ..... are they invading Finland or something?

The real story (the one they won't publicise) is that Sandy Park was built on the site of a native American burial ground and to appease the angry spirits they named the club 'Chiefs'. Big Chief himself is the physical manifestation of a dead Apache's ghost and not as some believe some bloke in a massive foam head. FACT.

Regarding teams playing in pink, you think the suits pick that colous because they think they'll play harder due to them thinking that they've been emasculated to some degree?
Reminds me of the Johnny Cash song A Boy Named Sue-where the dad names the son Sue in order to harden him up because he'll get no end of stick in life.

Re: New Rugby Shirts - Post your club or country shirts here.
George Bush may have said something like
" I am wearing pink, but don't misunderestimate me", which is maybe the English philosophy
In the case of French clubs it is a bit different (I'll translate):
" we are sophisticated Europeans, secure in our masculinity, so we can pull off this 'color' "

Let the discussion grow. (why does a Scot care anyway?)
Has anyone heard of when it's going to be released etc...
Nike would have had a sneak preview or the kit design out by now.

You can call me a Jock if you really want, doesn't bother me at all.
Back to your pointless "article", I suppose I could create a Poll to see how many people find your articles either :
A) Funny
B) Sad
C) Pointless
D) A waste of web space
E) Mostly WUMs
F) All of the above
What upsets me most is you seem to have a pretty decent rugby brain and knowlege. I just wish you'd put it to better use than trying to wind up others or wasting my time with the Article you posted up about the new England kit. Believe it or not I do find new kit threads interesting so to have you post it up and say coming soon was a bit childish.
