Here's a better idea of the new Dragons shirt:

Jaysus that's a bad sponsor logo, rest of the shirt is nice though! Shame that Worthington's isn't the main sponsor, that would look really good.

Luckless is that the Dragons back in a very dark red sort of ghosted over the front of the shirt or are my eyes playing up?

I think you're right, Spiderman.
Effervescing Elephant (I take it you're a Syd Barrett fan?), it's not the greatest sponsor to have on a shirt, but if they're prepared to offer us the most money, we're not going to turn them down. We need every penny we can get!
The worst sponsor I can remember on a rugby shirt was when Pontypridd were sponsored by Egan Waste.

Not a fan of the Bath kit at all really- find it quite underwhelming to be honest.

Dragon's shirt is decent apart from the sponsor, does anybody know if season ticket holders still get a discount on it ?

It does reinforce the impression of the Dragons as the bargain-basement region.

Mah, let's see how we do on the pitch - let other people worry about their own regions.
We are still getting sponsors and we are managing our debt and signing new players

Yeah rediscovered all my Barrett albums the other day and fancied a change from Carpe Diem!
Sponsors are a necessary evil but bring much welcomed cash, would be nice if they would consult a bit more about their logos and made an effort to make them a little more synpathetic!

I think that only a picture of Inverdale being condescending or Bill McLaren's glasses could add to the 'rugbyness' of that shirt.

Fair play to London Welsh that shirt will probably get a few of the WUMs on here rushing out to make threads slagging them off.

I saw a character on Waterloo Road dinking Brains and that is (well was) based in Rochdale, and my Brother in-law in Norwich says you can get hold of it there too.

Really? I thought it was only a Cardiff/East Wales thing. I only drink it as a last resort to be honest (though I'm a spirits man myself and don't often drink ale), I prefer Cafferies or Worthies myself (or even Buckleys IPA), and thought most other people were of the same opinion of Brains...

Yeah if I'm drinking Brains I usually drink the Smooth Extra Cold, but don't think it's a scratch on Worthies (plus they sponsored the Scarlets ).

Both Worthies Creamflow and Brains Smooth can actually make me throw up without being intoxicated. Whatever they do to make it creamy just does not agree with me I don't know, real draft bitter and ale on the other hand and I have no problems.
The Scarlets need Felinfoel to sponsor them so I can have a proper pint.

Got addicted to Brains Dark when I was at university in Wales. Absolutely love the stuff. Nothing gets me more in the mood for Six Nations rugby than a pint of their extra cold or dark.

I can't imagine Felinfoel will give the Scarlets too much money, but I do look out for it over Brains in Cardiff. But as I'm not always a pint drinker I do like creamflow over standard ale, in the same way as I'll occassionally drink Fiddlers Elbow or Old Speckled Hen

And I'm not going to take drinking advice off somebody who probably drinks White Wine at rugby matches, if he even goes to them.

Back to the shirts, oh and on topic!!!!
When the New England kit launched, Nike is would have had teasers out by now.
Canterbury seems to be disorganised as a company IMO.

Glasgow still without a main shirt sponsor for the coming season, hence no release of the new shirt yet. They played last week's pre-season game against Castres in last season's shirt. Press releases suggest they have had offers but are holding out for more money. I wonder if they will go ahead and release a shirt without a sponsor's logo, or would that put off potential sponsors if most of the fans have already bought the non-sponsored version. Or will they have to begin the league campaign in last season's strips?

THats rather poor position to be in. The Scarlets were like that a few years back, due to stuggling to get a manufacturer of shirts. The team had kit for the season, but fans had to wait til October to get shirts.
Out of interest though can they legally wear last seasons shirts at the start of this season, if the shirt sponsor is no longer a sponsor?

Not sure, they also had an open-to-the-public training game against Aberdeen Grammar in which they wore training tops without a sponsor, maybe that's what we'll see against Sale this weekend

Hopefully they'll have it all sorted out in time to manufacture strips before the league starts, although fans might have to wait a bit longer to get hold of them. Bit embarrassing though.

Pat these things happen, and on a plus side you'll get an extra few weeks of seeing the team in the kit to decide if you like it or not.
