You know yourself, not a lot else to do round here
I'm off to Stoke tomorrow, early start, mate's picking me up at 7:10!
Hoping for a win, would take a point everyday of the week though!

Not good at Stoke. Less said about it the better!
As for tonight...

Next week is must win.
Kei Kamara won't be signed by the club, right decision in my eyes, great lad and story but ultimately isn't good enough

I don't think it's an understatement to say that next week is probably the biggest match in the club's (recent) history.
A win and we will be safe (barring something ridiculous)
A draw and we're relying on favourable results.
A loss and we're down. We ain't getting anything at City.
That's the severity of the situation. Losing our PL status would be a devastating blow at this point in the club's history.

I hope so too Kenny, in theory we couldn't have asked for a better match. At home against a team that has nothing to play for.
All in our hands, just hope we can scrape over the line, then some serious addressing needs to be done in the summer

Hopefully we will play you before Suarez's ban is done Kenny
Anyways, I would love for us to actually just go all guns blazing and grab the win rather than doing the sitting back and letting teams run at us stuff that has cost us all season thus far.
No more 5 man midfields at home next season is a must, especially in winnable games at whatever level we find ourselves at. we have never ever played well with a single striker all through our history and has been the same again this season.
My team to pick us up the much needed 3 points on sunday
And then make first sub around 65-70 mins in
If losing bring on becchio and take of Johnson and go 4-3-3
If Winning bring on Tettey and Take Of Hoolahan and go 4-4-2

Two things:
1. Class comments by Kei Kamara, good on the lad
2. We will not be letting you walk away with three points next week, sorry. We're playing a weakened team against Citeh tonight.

I don't buy into this need to go gung ho, with that formation Tooze we'd have no chance of keeping any sort of possession with Johnson CDM!

Man City tonight for us, play the reserves and lose 3-0. Then pick the first team at the weekend, beat you, send you down possibly.
All depends on Newcastle away at QPR and Wigan actually winning another game (we were robbed by the ref at the weekend, two blatant penalties not given).

It'll be a good game I'm sure Azzy.
Game at your place was interesting earlier in the year, we played real well 1st half, then you got a goal just before HT and dominated the 2nd half getting the win.
Didn't help that we had to play Steve Morison so basically you were playing 10 men

Yeah but that could go one of two ways. Could end up playing like Reading did against Fulham this weekend.

you were obv watching different games to me then olly as Johnson played very well there when placed in that position in the past, both here and at leeds (remember the league 1 season?) And Also we need to attack olly, you have seen us trying to just defend this season, we have been ripped apart (Fulham, Liverpool,United) and this is a game we have to go to win at all costs.
Do you want to go back to playing Ipswich and the like, I dont :shudders:

You have seen Bradley Johnson try to pass a football right?
I'd be all for going 4-4-2 this weekend, but honestly we didn't play too badly on Saturday, we just got done in a tight game.
I'd go with this;
Ruddy
Martin---Bennett---Bassong---Garrido
Snoddy---Tettey---Howson---Pilkington
------------Holt---Jackson-----------------
I think Jackson with his pace would cause more problems than Becchio would do to the WBA defence

I wouldnt have howson anywhere near the team either olly, blows hot and cold and half his passes are sidewards or backwards.
Johnson for me is a real contender for player of the season, perhaps our most constant player and would be silly to leave him out at this stage as he looks like our only player alongside bassong and snodgrass who looks like they are up for the fight at present, Tettey's Passing is just as bad

I thought Howson had a fairly good game on Saturday, I'd like to see him in there alongside either Tettey/Johnson, I'm not too fussed either way.

I'd also like to state, that despite me being a supporter of Hughton, I'm leaning towards getting rid of him.
At the end of the day, take out that 10 game unbeaten run, and we have 2 wins from 24 games. And we lost to a non league team at home. Which is simply not good enough at all.

If he keeps us up see how things are by the end of October. Gotta give him a chance to build his own squad if he can keep us up.
If we go down, I actually would be more inclined to keep him personally as he is very good in the Championship. But realistically he'll get canned

Yeah Norwich are safe now IMO. If they can get a few more decent players in over the summer, wouldn't rule out a top half finish for them next season.

1. Van Wolfswinkel is Dutch.
2. I doubt he'll move on for a few reasons. Signed the contract last summer. Who is gonna want to sign him.
We need people who can pass in midfield.

You do need to sign a couple of 40 year old cloggers though IMO. To balance the midfield.

Someone like that to keep the game ticking and to help the in- experience lads in tough times. For instance huge game today, im sure you will win, but you could show signs of in-experinence like you did against Villa.
Ill be cheering on Norwich today though mate Wonder goal from Elliot Bennett today me thinks
