Announcements

Important End of Season information -- please read

STAR PLAYER BIDS ARE OPEN

Star Player bids will commence Wednesday (15th), and run to Friday (17th) at midnight, when bidding is closed. Who got who will be posted on Saturday all being well - and assuming it can't be done earlier. If you miss out initially, there will be a second round bidding process and you may make another bid on a player. All bids will be sealed and PM'd to Hero and sodhat. It should be made clear that you cannot make a big bid on a Star Player, and then not have the cash all at once. All money must be paid immediately, or you miss out. We aren't doing IOU's on it, and that applies to everyone.

To qualify for the second round you must have submitted a first round bid - you can't just wait and see what's left. If there are exceptional circumstances as to why you missed the deadline you may appeal to the runners, but these circumstances absolutely do not include "I was playing Ultimate Team for 4 days with the curtains closed."

Sign up now for the Euro Division Telegraph Fantasy Football League!

Participants: Olly, T5J, Twi5t, 5odhat, Ru55, Nando, Marky (if we spoon feed him), Greger5

Having cleared it with Hero, I will be posting up the all new Cup details (and with new catchy, sexy, witty and delightful name).

It will be 4 groups of 4

There will be seeded teams

There will be prize money which will be part of your budget for Season 4 if squads and budgets are reset at the end of Season 3

People will complain

I personally like the shake up of Marky's cup, it keeps teams involved more week to week with at least 3 games. Gives a better chance to rest and test your squad too.

One thing I will announce now is that the 16 teams have been put into 4 pots (in a FIFA/UEFA style). One from each pot will be in each group, to make all four groups as balanced as can be.

Pot 1 (Top 4 from Premier League last season): Real Ale Sociedad, Viva City, AC ALSOAM, London Silly Nannies

Pot 2 (Top 4 from Championship last season): Athletico Bilbao Baggins, Jacamos United, Hangover 69, Treble's Revenge

Pot 3 (Bottom 4 from Premier League last season): Barearselona, Real NADrid, Holton Wanderers, Neymar FC

Pot 4 (Bottom 4 from Championship last season): Go Ahead Eaaagles, Gotham City Rogues, Substandard Liege, City of Norwich FC

Right, if you'll assist me Nando, i've numbered the teams in each pot from 1 to 4.

If you could post a number between 1 and 4 alongside Groups A to D for me please?

Basically, teams from Pot 4, then Pot 3, then Pot 2, then Pot 1 will be entered into each group based on Nando randomly putting the numbers 1-4 with groups A-D four times.

One final question, would people rather it be group winners into the semi finals, or top 2 into quarter finals?

Every group has 2 Prem teams and 2 Champ teams, you could argue in 3 of the 4 groups it's already decided but it will be a lot closer when people are playing U21s and resting first team players to avoid them being injured.

See if you would feel the same if UEFA make the Champions League draw an open draw, and Man U get knocked out in the group by Real Madrid and Barcelona while Maribor, Panathinaikos and Celtic make the QF's Whistle

See if you would feel the same if UEFA make the Champions League draw an open draw, and Man U get knocked out in the group by Real Madrid and Barcelona while Maribor, Panathinaikos and Celtic make the QF's Whistle

Wouldn't make a difference to United...they couldn't get past Benfica, Basel and Otelul Galati Whistle
