Important End of Season information -- please read

STAR PLAYER BIDS ARE OPEN

Star Player bids will commence Wednesday (15th), and run to Friday (17th) at midnight, when bidding is closed. Who got who will be posted on Saturday all being well - and assuming it can't be done earlier. If you miss out initially, there will be a second round bidding process and you may make another bid on a player. All bids will be sealed and PM'd to Hero and sodhat. It should be made clear that you cannot make a big bid on a Star Player, and then not have the cash all at once. All money must be paid immediately, or you miss out. We aren't doing IOU's on it, and that applies to everyone.

To qualify for the second round you must have submitted a first round bid - you can't just wait and see what's left. If there are exceptional circumstances as to why you missed the deadline you may appeal to the runners, but these circumstances absolutely do not include "I was playing Ultimate Team for 4 days with the curtains closed."

Sign up now for the Euro Division Telegraph Fantasy Football League!

Basically for the reboot I will post 25 pools of 16 players broken down as follows:

2 xGK
2 x LB
2 x RB
4 x CB
1 x DM
4 x CM
2 x AM
2 x RW
2 x LW
4 x ST

From these pools everyone will PM myself and another runner the order in which they would like to receive those players. If you're first in the draft for that pool you get your first pick. It goes round everyone and they get basically whichever player is first in their list that hasn't already been picked. It's basically a draft system but without the need for everyone to be about at the same time.

Ok here is what I would rank your example pool as

Rui Patricio - 1st
Michael Vorm - 2nd
Julio Cesar - 3rd
Marc-Andre ter Stegen - 4th
Tim Krul - 5th
Steve Mandana - 6th
Thibaut Courtois -7th
Bernd Leno - 8th
Maarten Stekelenburg - 9th
Sirigu - 10th
Diego Alves - 11th
Rene Adler - 12th
Fernando Muslera - 13th
Sebastien Frey - 14th
Emiliano Viviano - 15th
Vicente Guaita - 16th

So that is how we would do it?

Yep spot on, so if on this you went 12th and the first 9 on your picks had already gone then you'd get the 10th on your list (Sirigu)

When doing it though I'd request that everyone sticks to the same format when replying so it makes it easier for me to then stick everything into a spreadsheet and work out who gets what.

I really don't like the system. The whole point of this league was to build your own squad from scratch like we did at the start. The selecting of players from pools is alright but it shouldn't be in this league IMO.

Yes, there would be two pools of semi decents ones and two pools of not so decent ones/youngsters etc.

Initially though the league was just not doing anything transfer wise and that for a lot of people is the fun.

Because for a lot of people they were then happy with their squads and hardly any transfers happened for ages.

Fair enough, but would the pool system boost transfers? Part of the excitement is working out who people are unlikely to go for and going for them

So initial draft is. Pl players only
season 2 add la liga & bundesliga
season 3 open all other leagues

or somethingblike that

Well you'd be getting a batch of 25 players that from which you'd probably be happy with 8 or 9 I'd be guessing.

Thing is, there's already the Fantasy European League and the Realistic Premier League where you are given a squad of players and start making transfers. This league is unique in that you have a blank canvas to begin with and you create your own squads.

The only thing I would change is maybe have less money at the start, instead of the £150m + £50m budget, something like £120m and £30m budgets.

Other than that, this league has been a great success, and if it aint broke, don't fix it.

What would happen IF for some reason like a glitch or something Cristiano Ronaldo's transfermarket value went down to 30mill and only one person put a bid in for him. Then after the bidding has finished and everyone gets their players Ronaldo's value goes back to what it previously was. What would happen to Ronaldo?

There was a player the other week that was a complete nobody that suddenly had a value of 200m rather than 200k. They quickly realised their error and amended it.

I think basically we'd realise it was an error as they would and sort it out.
