The Corso Marauders Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Amsterdam
First topic message reminder :
Hello and welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub, a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The Pub has made its way to Amsterdam in honour of original publican Gibson who is finally back in gainful employment. One small step for man ...
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no tampering with the pictures of former Corso Marauder Lawrence Dallaglio or young ice hockey prize winner (thanks to the v2ers) Chris Boyd.

Penfro will be interested .
Ah Rava - I like 'real' girls. I thought 'potential' girls were more of a thing for Gibbo and the rest of the Leinster Ladyboys gnomesayin

Afternoon all by the way
proper slacker today, not even started work yet, very late finish for me tonight....
I wish the ERC would just release the full schedule for all the HC games at the same time. I was looking at booking flights for my dad for the Ex game bit how do I do it now without booking early Friday flight and a Monday flight home?? Pain in the Harris really

Down to Sky I believe hoog. They sort out what games they want to show, and when about a eeek after round 4 - i.e. just before Christmas. Flights are more expensive because you can't book early.

Yeah it's Sky as opposed to the ERC who cause the problems, better than systems some leagues use which have provisional dates that can then be changed a month or two before the game.

Edit. What was funny was after the 2007 q/fs after Wasps had beaten Leinster, loads of Wasps fans booked flights and hotels to/in St Sebastian where Biarritz were scheduled to play their s/f after dispatching Northampton, who were bottom of the Prem.
Saints won 7-6 in Biarritz and our semi was then at Coventry. A bit of a change!!

It's ok for me that weekend as I'm off for four days so no problems there but then again getting to Dublin for the scarlets game will cause me the same problems. Gggggggggrrrrrrrr

Well I'm glad that Scarlets are going to inherit the whole Saffer mercenary tag from Ulster. How many NWQ tight five forwards is that now
Seriously though, sounds like a good signing. You need more beef and guys who love the ugly stuff if you want to be serious about getting into playoffs and quarter-finals. Could be a key signing at the end of the year. Who knows?

I can not wait for this week's podcast now!
Notch - ha indeed! we do have 3 of them on our books now. Although considering they are two 2nd rows and 1 TH I doubt we will have all three playing at the same time due to squad rotation. I just really like the attitude they will bring. George Earl has really impressed me so far, loved this little interview with him:

we weren't even that loud! wait till he hears us get going at an O's match or an away game

As - unfortunately I won't get to LS v Falcons. I'll be at Ealing v Rosslyn Park. I should be at the Wheatsheaf for Aus v SA though if anyone wants to make a 'rugby day' of it.

Re: The Corso Marauders Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Amsterdam
Lads, don't mean to cause offence here but is Kiwi the brains of the operation in the sense of the recording of the podcast and all that side of things? need to chat to who ever is tomorrow or the next few days, some fans on another section are interested in doing one.

Morning all
Morning T, sorry I dived off to bed last night, but yes Kiwi Pete is yer man sorting all the recording and technical bits on the podcast mate, me and Staggy are just there to talk bollix for your listening pleasure.
Have to say, as we all love rugby so much, is very tough to try to condense everything down to a 40 minute podcast and still do justice to all the topics, so what Kiwi is doing for this week is breaking it down into seperate podcasts for te different topics and they will all go on the v2journal page and people can pick and choose what they want to listen to.
Morning As
You back from the wilds of Scotland now? Good win your the Chiefs on Saturday, have to say I never saw that scoreline coming!!!

Yes, Pete, back into the swing of things, kids back to school today ... at last! Great start for us, and I didn't see that scoreline coming either tbh - I thought we played well thru'out the team, but Sale were woeful. Trip to Saints at the weekend, now that will be tough - two years in the prem and all we've ever managed is to take a single table point, not sure we'll be bettering that this time. Did you see that Budgie scored to become the oldest player to have scored in the prem? Jeebus, he'll be 40 in a couple of months! Ligind

I did see mate, and he did get a mention on last nights podcast. He also drew comparisons with a Munster Ligind who wore the same jersey!
Kids only going back today? Hardly seems worth it for two days of the week. My littlies all went back on Tuesday, was very wierd, the wife and I both had the day off which meant we actually had to talk to each other!
