The Corso Marauders Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Amsterdam
First topic message reminder :
Hello and welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub, a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The Pub has made its way to Amsterdam in honour of original publican Gibson who is finally back in gainful employment. One small step for man ...
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no tampering with the pictures of former Corso Marauder Lawrence Dallaglio or young ice hockey prize winner (thanks to the v2ers) Chris Boyd.

Well it was going swimmingly for most of it Hugster. But, then we fell of and Dragons got 2 quick tries. No tackling involved. We made it a game. Didnt need to.
Maaaaaaaackennnnnnnn!
45-25. Better. But could do better in defence.
Madigan was brilliant. Cooney was superb. Macken & Reid - were a lot better than last week. Conway is coming on. So fast. Carr? Meh.

And a frontrow of McGrath, Cronin and Hagan - was so solid. Pushing Dragons back all game. I missed the 1st half, but thats what I was told. Scrum was solid in the 2nd half too with VDM on.

Yeah mate, won't see that for a while again.
Spoke to Jase Tovey down Risca earlier. He's looking forward to next week. If our first choice front row front up against the Blouse one, we could have a bit of joy.

Ulster just scored a try!
Their bench has made a difference (which is unsurprising)
Think that's both those predictions out the window now Hoog!

We were AWFUL in the first half. We played brutal. What an effort in the second half to win against the Champions. Very happy.

Nicked the win there Notch, although you were the better side last 20. Poor poor game all in all though.
Congrats on the win

Bit of a bad result for the Ospreys is that. They shouldn't lose many/any at home really.

Re: The Corso Marauders Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Amsterdam
Aww, it was a very low quality game. Very poor! Any decent side would have punished us for being so sloppy in so many areas of our game. Ospreys let us off the hook. And with the sheer quality we had coming off the bench, they needed to get a good lead put up in the first 60.
They didn't, we improved, I'm happy we deserved it- but God we'll need to do better than that in the first 40 next week!

Notch, a win is a win and a win on the road is most welcome. A win in Wales against the defending champions is fantastic.
I didn't watch it so can't comment but have it recorded for later.
Cari,
Gibbo and Hoog I watched the young Leinster team get a great result although you will not be happy at conceding tries, especially at home.
Gibbo, I'll give you a shout later mate

Risca Rev wrote:Bit of a bad result for the Ospreys is that. They shouldn't lose many/any at home really.
The Ospreys would have to look at it as a disastrous result. Ulster put out a second string side which then underperformed badly for sixty minutes. If they were doing their job right, we would have had no chance of coming back to nick it no matter how good we were in the last 20!
The truth is Ospreys and Ulster were both poor all game, we won it because we hit our straps eventually but in the first half I thought it was amongst the worst games I've seen in the Pro12. The way we came back sort of redeemed it a bit, but it's definitely one of those games were you happily take the win and forget the match itself.
It will be remembered as a real shocker by the Os fans. We'll be able to move on because we got that all important win. The Ospreys support will be gutted by the result AND their teams performance.

Dragons are mint though Rav. 7 tries in two games. That's beaten last years total already

Re: The Corso Marauders Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Amsterdam
Rava- agreed! Whats great is how many players we have to get back still. We're winning with a massive list of absent players. IF we can keep it going next week, we're onto a good thing.
The guys who came off the bench made a massive impact. Enjoy the game.

Aw Rava, my deadline is at 12. I'm probably going to want to go to bed after i had it in! I can't see sleeping being high on my to-do list this week. I hardly slept last week.
I'm definitely going to the game though mate, will meet you at Ravenhill?

Well, that match was redeemed by the last 15-20 mins - good result for the men in white. Spent a frustrating 15 minutes trying to get a stream for Leinster v Dragons but no joy. Hope this situation improves, otherwise I'm going to miss a lot of our games.
So, glad to hear you had a good day, Dreamer. Weather a bit iffy here, but I had a good march out to the Lochan an Eireannaich (about 8 km) and it stayed dry - about as good as it gets this 'summer'.

Gibbo did you get to see it in the end? Do you have a satellite box yeah? You can probably add the channels to it, you can do that to most, as every Rabo carrying channel bar RTE/TG4 (frequencies for them could be available soon with saorview) and the italian one, you would be covered most of the time.
How are we all? That's a good win for Ulster, 4 Irish provinces winning so a decent weekend, aside from the footballers who were shoite. NFL season starts tomorrow and we might end up doing a podcast for that too, also finished a Q&A with a guy who won the Super Bowl some questions provided great answers, others didn't. A bit disappointing.

Evening all
Rava, got your text bud but can't reply as no signal down in the village where my sister lives. Fortunately she does have internet access so I can get on here. Gutted with the result mate, but heard from people who went that we were much improved from last week. Great result for Ulster mate. SUFTUM
Have spent the the afternoon with my mum. Bought her a professional photoshoot with all her grandchildren for her 60th Birthday at the end of July, and we had it today. Was hilarious, not sure the photographer knew what she'd let herself in for taking on my little ones and my nieces and nephews!!!

They are worse than Irish fans who couldn't see the wood from the trees 2 years ago when Trap was past it, read the last 2 pages of this thread and tell me that any English lads are talking sense. If you think they are then I question your sanity: https://www.606v2.com/t34621p100-world-cup-qualifiers-thread-7th-and-8th-september

There's optmisim and just everything is grand syndrome. It clearly isn't and hasn't been for a long time, it just bugs me, I know some English lads who agreed with my path for reform (laid it out befor, will post if it's desired) and it's a few lads on here who are probably just ghouls.
