The Corso Marauders Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Amsterdam
First topic message reminder :
Hello and welcome to the Virtual Rugby Pub, a place where you can come in for a sly beverage and discuss whatever's on your mind, or just eavesdrop on the regulars if you fancy a break from all the rugby chat.
The Pub has made its way to Amsterdam in honour of original publican Gibson who is finally back in gainful employment. One small step for man ...
The only rule in this pub is one of mutual respect for everyone in it, oh and no tampering with the pictures of former Corso Marauder Lawrence Dallaglio or young ice hockey prize winner (thanks to the v2ers) Chris Boyd.

In the next street where I live, there are two pubs within 600 yards of each other, and another pub across the street opposite. They all seem to do OK from what I can tell. Like I said last night, the punters will make it what it is.

Yeah it is Prop. There's a Glaws pub too. ah well. They're shutting all the best old Brains pubs in Cardiff...sign of the times. Some places are just too exclusive for some it seems.

Nah I'm in the Glos pub but only because there's people in there who can understand my accent, also it's easier to get their views on Glos stuff in there.
Wouldn't leave the real pub mind, need to get myself on a meet soon!!
Oh and don't talk to me about closing Brain's pubs....drove past the patch of tarmac that used to be The Vulcan today, some of my best nights in uni were spent in that pub!!

I already have a list Asbo, but if there's anyone you want added let me know and I'll stick them on the end.
I'm contemplating it Hound, will have a count up of the available monthly shekels on Friday and if it's a goer I am presuming I can get walk up tickets on the day?

Story lads? Any big news with y'all? I see there's a lounge now, presume it's kind of a similar deal to this but for people who may not want to or feel intimidated (why I don't know) to come in here?
Podcast tonight Ozzy good luck with it.

They should be done now, as I know Stag had to be done by 8:15 at the latest. Hoping that Pete gets it put up tonight, that way I can give it a listen on my way home from work.

Re: The Corso Marauders Dew Drop Inn Virtual Rugby Pub, Amsterdam
Sadly, it seems Jason Tovey isn't going to make his debut on Saturday. I do mean sadly, as I hold no grudge and of course he's kind of a mate. I said to him on Saturday just gone that I hope he scores 39, but we score 40. I'm sure he'll attend though.
Slight question, but is discussing Mr Cameron's announcement a bit no no on here, as nobody seems to have on the football site (although I didn't look further than football and the premier league subsection.

It kind of confirmed what most of us knew Rev, I think. Still massive announcement and the people who were involved in the cover up from the emergency services to the Sun and the courts desrve a right bollocking.

Oz, walk in tickets should be available from the ticket office, which is near the first corner of the ground when you go through the gates.
Alternatively meet Andy an I in the Bootlegger opposite the station. We get up there in a cab, though there is a free bus from outside the station.
If you go to the pub go to the rear round the left side of the bar.

Evening pub, for me please.
Just want to say thanks to the in the Ford Transit who must have thought it hilarious to move lanes (on a one-way street admittedly) specifically to drive through the puddle I was walking past and soak me Said puddle was about 2 feet away from me! What if you'd lost control? You'd have wiped me out, that's what. Still, I'm sure it was hilarious and is now on Youtube

Yeah fair one. I didn't want to bring it up in here per se, but was curious. I've already aired my views on it on Twithead and Faceache.

And ooooo Llanelli just beat Neath 37 - 5 with a BP win! Cracking start to the season for them, such a shame they had the narrow loss away to Bridgend first up. Hope Drovers and Quins can follow it up this week now

Ha I shall leave him to answer that last question!
But yes I'd get a car. I have to if I want to keep going to watch the Scarlets. Can't keep asking my Dad to finish work early to take me, it's such a stupidly long day for him then it isn't really fair.
He's taking me to the O's game, but I've no clue how I'm going to get to the Dragons one.
Plus actually when I've my own car I won't have to be 40 mins early for work and then leave 40 mins after we close!

Talking of Welsh National League rugby, don't go near the 'real Sarries' score from the weekend
I've always keep an eye on Aberavon's results, mainly because of their nickname. I enjoy reading the Principality match reports in TRP. You get proper match reports in there without 3/4 of what's written being about whatever politics/bollix (same thing) is going on.

Forget TRP Hound, my blog is where it's at.... (For Welsh rugby anyways and mainly that of west Wales )
And I shall heed your advice and not look at the score!

You'll absolutely love the freedom having your own car gives you Dreamer Yes they're costly to run but for me the ability to go wherever and whenever I please far outweighs the financial costs. I'd be bereft without mine.

Ah yes, it will give you great freedom to come and go - on your own terms. Great buzz. Public transport is not the Georgie Best in rural Wales, I seem to remember.

Yep especially living out where I am Swanny! Will be better for evenings during the week to go and meet up with friends as I hate having to ask Mam and Dad when they're so blydi tired after working all day.
Just got to get my manoeuvres sorted. I seriously just can not reverse around a corner.
Read your post earlier about that van driver - what an arse!
Gibbo - that's putting it v mildly! Think I've said it in here before but in my village there's only one bus a week. That's it.

I did see it Hound. Was a bit of a shocker.
I have a feeling Risca 1sts might get a bit of a tuning at home, as the team they're playing (Newport HSOB) have been dishing out some hidings I think.

Dreamer, I remember my driving instructor stuck a wee piece of gaffer tape at the bottom of one of the rear passenger windows to help folk learn to reverse around corners. You just make the tape follow the kerb and round you go. Worked a treat!

There's a sticker on the back of the car window and special small round mirrors stuck on the side mirrors to help me but my mind goes blank. As soon as the car goes backwards I just don't know which way to turn the wheel!
Which is weird because reverse parallel parking I'm pretty okay.... clearly tis a mental thing

Wimmin cant reverse or park. Everyone knows that. I mean, Ive seen the huge holes in your walls MrsP.
Missed you btw.
Seriously Dreamer, get a loan of a decent driver with car (Da?), and use a carpark with specific drawn lines to reverse into. Worked a treat for my son. He could reverse round corners and park before he could drive on the road.
Now he lives in a carpark.
