First topic message reminder :
Shocker in San Francisco as the Seahawks vs the 49ers was a defensive battle.
Anyone else not a fan of thursday games, the home team has a ridic record in them iirc.

Wow, a wide open TD and he throws a pick. Tebow isn't good, but you have to bench him at some point.

At least Tebow usually keeps turnovers down

You have to pull him at some point. Its pretty poor coaching tbh.

And at least Tebow can be mobile. His throwing may not be any better than Sanchez, but he would offer another dimension.

That interception Sanchez just threw was one of the worst NFL throws I've ever seen.

Re: Week 7 Discussion Thread
With regard to the Bucs game and the last play, if a receiver is pushed out of bounds, which he clearly was, then he may re-enter the field and be the first to catch the ball.
However, if the QB is outside the pocket, the rules for illegal contact no longer apply. Given that the pocket extends two yards outside of the tackles, I'm not sure if Freeman was outside of it. Very complex ending to a frustrating game. Freeman was immense, Jackson was immense, Martin was immense but the pass defence was awful, particularly the pass rush. How many times did we only have to rush three and have Brees rinse us on third down?

You can't give the likes of Brees, Brady, Rodgers etc time in the pocket, because no matter how many you have in coverage they will find a way to shred you to pieces

God, watching Oakland can be depressing.
Knocked Jones Drew out of the game, Gabbert is out too, and we are still down 14!

sad isn't it?
Am already seeing who the favourite is to go number one in the draft next year because we're no doubt getting them

Just nothing happening on offense. Palmer has decent numbers, but they arent translating into big plays. McFadden is getting nothing either.
Not sure where we try an improve first. We need defensive backs badly, but I'm not sure if there is one worth going that high in the next draft.

In fairness, knocking out Gabbert is probably a handicap.
Pats have allowed the Jets to stick around.

I assume you will have a Top 5 pick, so to get a defensive back that early he needs to be up there with the Revis's of this world in terms of potential. Plenty of good ones in the later rounds you can pick up.
I know you gave up a lot for Palmer, but you could do with a young new QB, like a Geno Smith

Re: Week 7 Discussion Thread
I'm not too sure on the draft prospects but at QB I've heard about Barkley and Logan Thomas. Not sure that is our biggest issue though. Seems our OC needs to get more out of the run, McFadden is up there with the best if playing to his strengths.

They need a miracle in all honesty. There's too many positions where we're weak and McKenzie will need to work wonders both in the draft and FA to pull something out to turn the franchise around.
Regarding the offense I want Greg Knapp gone, I know he's not the one running the plays but its clear for all to see that McFadden has been ineffective since he returned to the OC position, should have asked Jackson to stay on as OC
I don't think any Raiders fan expected the team to make play offs given the transition into a new era post Davis, but so far has been a massive step back

If Tebow is to start, then it maybe most likely after the bye week. Especially if they lose to the Dolphins next weekend.

For some retarded reason the Jets decide to throw on 3rd and 1 from the Pats 2, despite running all over the D all drive. Some of the play calling in this league really baffles me

Think Rex might regret not running on that 3rd and 1, considering Greene has converted all his 3rd and 1's all year!

I have given up on my team this week. Rudolph and Davis both scoring 0.00 points for me at TE and the flex has killed me

Re: Week 7 Discussion Thread
I gave up on my team before it started. Had 4 players on bye weeks so basically had to pick cover from whatever was left
Think there's only Foster and Cruz who got me any kind of points, hopefully Megatron can shrug off this Madden curse and get his year up and running on Monday night

Numbers Never Lie @ESPN_Numbers
0.3. Joe Flacco had a Total QBR of 0.3 against the Texans, the lowest by any quarterback over the last five seasons.
