'tis a serious Barbarians team Pooly, England will have their work cut out today. Great test for the younger players though, will give us a glimpse of whether or not they can make the grade hopefully.

A little but you have to take these kind of games with a pinch of salt, defensive structures are very loose after a weeks work. Banahan impressive though.

JSD makes some mental calls in defensive sometimes. He needs to keep it tight to get in England squad.

Yea Nick he's really impressive in the tight situations. I worry about his defence but would like to see him involved for England for def.

delon is most definetly the best back up for foden, just needs to sort out his temper.

Yea PDJ went down there but to be fair we're down to 7 in the scrum, great battle. Game like this could be the making of Marler

JvN still class. Best South African number 8 in my book still. If he played in SA he would be in their team ahead of Pierre Spies.
Marler not looking good, hope he's ok.

Agree not looked out of place at all. Fearns was disappointing, Micky Young looks in good nick too. Nice finish by Johnson, been a little quiet but put in a decent shift.

He'll be starting ahead of Youngs if he doesn't book his ideas up soon. I'm really worried by his dip. Johnson looking confident now, who did Gadkell come on for?

dont need mason, I've got the real deal SBW
erik lund's a good player.
Visser's a good winger, just doesnt get the credit he deserves as he doesnt play for a good side (edinburg or holland!)

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4
Just watching the England game , Trinder's try was more of a result of poor scramble defense by the Baa - Baas. There number 11 steps up out of the line Narraway steps into the gap stands the last man up and puts Trinder over in the corner.

Loosehead...lol. He fronted up pretty well as did the front 3 against a world class scrummaging unit. Though Brookes did ok too when he came on.

You forgot Wigglesworth and Dickson! I'd have Care above Youngs at the minute I think and Wiggles level with Simpson (Wiggles better basics, Simpson for impact). I wouldn't have Young ready for that list yet, same with Lewis.

Dodge gets an England shirt because he is a very good scrum half. He is not of the same style as some of the other English players and is not at all flashy. What he brings is good game management, leadership and good defence.
He does not bring a threat around the fringes and great pace like some of the others you have listed, but the point for the World Cup is you need options. There is no value in taking Youngs, Care and Simpson as the three scrum halves. Where are the options there, the balance, there is none.
For the WC squad there are some simple choices for me. Youngs will go barring injury, that is certain, then behind him you take either Care or Simpson, and one of Hodgson, Dickson and Wigglesworth.
Young and Lewis are not yet ready, and Haydn Thomas is not international class.
