I still thought he might be going to O's. Will hit our game hard as many won't rate the players once they go. Some serious talent lost.

Kahui been best centre in super 15 with freuan but playing like a drain today. Having a mare

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4
I do like Kahui but yea not playing great. I know Slade is a flakey 10 but McAlister looks half the player there. Had a great season at 12 but I'm not a fan of him at 10.
Umaga looking great. Nonu/Gear played well today apparently, Weepu back and playing well.

Alright lads, I'm abit stuck on who to go for as my next foreign. I was going to go for Deon Fourie but I've been blown out of the water by Mat and Pete! Looking for a hooker who wont be involved in the world cup.

This is the first time I've seen kahui and he has been poor. looks injured though.
Mcallister is having good moments but is very average. Been a bit disappointed by the skill level in this game.
Williams is getting back to his best. i'd start him and Thorn if they are both fit and on form. Williams lineouts match Matfields at his best.

Slade is flaky also. Mccalisters kicking at goal is terrible. He is such a confidence player. Would not want him in a tight game.
Some days he is unplayable others he costs his team the match

Weepu makes a massive difference for the Canes, they look a different team without him.
McAlister been poor today, but having said that it has not been a great game overall to be honest.

I often wonder about the general standard of coaching in the S15. So much talent but we don't often see the best of them.
Soom great coaches but some just seem a little below average

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4
There are a few decent hookers around still Arry. If you are looking for one not going to the WC I would wait and get one with your third transfer after the WC squads have been named.
New Zealand have loads of good hookers. Mealamu and Hore will go to the world cup with one of Flynn, de Malmanche, Rutledge or Eliot as the third. Wait and see which one goes then pick up one of the others.

He organises much better than McA but is a poor defender/kicker...bit like Cooper but not as good!! Never been a fan of Stanley, can't believe he got an AB cap.

Good advice Pete, I think I'll do that. I'm now stuck between going for a tight head prop or an out and out 7.

I rate him prop, good player, does everything pretty well, but not a stand out in any one area of being a hooker.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4
Are foreign transfers open for quite some time, as they were originally going to end in August - does that mean we can choose to wait before getting our next two?
Blues v Chiefs is a poor game, been impressed with Sivi and Rococoko though, both made some good ground.
There just seems so little structure in s15 rugby, turned off the game yesterday evening on Sky - its interesting to see how different it is from European rugby!

I was thinking that he would be good for me pete as it's unlikely he'll go to the w.c and any injuries in the front row he can cover, plus he shouldn't be too expensive!!

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4
Realistically I think it is between Eliot and Flynn for the 3rd hooker spot in the squad, unless of course Henry decides that he'll use Afoa in that role.
Chris, you can wait if you want to mate.
I thought the Bulls vs. Tahs game last night was actually a pretty decent game.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4
How many English players do people think would get in a current world XV? I think the only one I would have is Courtney Lawes - but post WC I can see Foden, Cole, Croft and Hartley moving up the list too.
Really looking forward to the Junior WC next week, think the England team is one of the best we have had for years and years, particularly looking forward to the Ford / Farrell axis - could be special.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4
Lawes is nowhere near a World XV. Only player I'd have close is Foden and depending on form of others, Palmer.
Hartley is a long way of Servat, BdP and Moore and Croft isn't even the best BS in the NH.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4
I wouldn't have Lawes in a world XV Chris, Thorn and Bakkies are still both better 4's than him.
Foden would potentially be close, between him and Beale at 15 for me on form at the moment.
Cole isn't close, Croft has a lot to do as there are a fair few very good 6's out there, and Hartley isn't close either, and I am a big fan of his.

lawes isn't in the world XV quite yet. Foden for me is. Close against Beale but Foden has the defensive advantage.

Anyone know any out and out sevens I could go for who won't be involved in the WC. I can only think of Phil Waugh who probably divides opinion on here.

This could be another Reds 7 coming good. Three finds in a year would be cracking for them

Reckon reds will sneak this with try from James Hanson and Luke Morahan.

Re: Fantasy Aviva Premiership season 4
Lawes will be the best 4 in the world after the WC, he's defensive game is already the best in my opinion. He needs to work on a few aspects of his game, but at 21 is there a better prospect in the pacl than him! He's best 4 in Europe now.
Its a toss up between Foden and Beale now for me - Beale is better attacker but Foden's defence and decision making is better.
Giteau's finally looking good again! Where do people think I should play him next year and where should I look to improve?

Steve I honestly think he will do both in his career. Possibly this time he costs them the WC but 2015 he will be more mature and experienced.
