Week 14 discussion thread
First topic message reminder :
Couldn't see a thread so thought I'd create one
After defending Carson Palmer for a lot of the season my patience has finally gone with him. Threw a brilliant ball deep in double coverage for Streater, then on the next throw throws a pick after throwing behind the receiver, once again causing us to miss on a chance to put points on the board....again, and also brings this shocking Oakland defense onto the field.
I think as well as knapp, Palmer needs to be cut, he isn't earning the money he's getting this year so god help next year when we owe him a heck of a lot more

Probably not the best idea to leave JJ Watt unprotected...
Poor PI call on Houston. Dreadful

Spikes looked pretty useless on that screen pass.

Right please block JJ Watt properly now. One man on him is just a mismatch

Big win for the Pats tonight. Brady firmly in the MVP race now.
Texans have an off night on offence. Take away the run, and Schaub isn't reliable to win games

Re: Week 14 discussion thread
I'd say we won the battle in the trenches which is what we needed to do. Watt had a couple of QB hits working inside but thats about it, the Mercilus sack looked like someone didn't get the protection right. I wanted to see good run D# and we got it, left the Texans in a bunch of 3rd and long situations which they struggled with. I would like to see a similar thing happen vs. the 49ers next week, play good run D# and put them in 3rd and long. Though i'm way more scared of the SF defense. Best unit in the league IMO.Grant Holt V2 wrote:

Re: Week 14 discussion thread
Yeah if you watch our offence we like to create mismatches on the linebackers with our running backs and tight ends. Thing is Willis and Bowman aren't gonna get mismatched!
One thing San Fran have looked a little vulnerable to is against the run. So Ridley and the rest will have to step up, and we will need to create some turnovers on D

Felt the score last night was a little deceptive, but Houston have has two decidedly poor games on national telly versus the perennial "big dogs" of the NFL in the Pats and Packers.
Great execution for the Patriots early getting up big, but Houston consolidated well and started holding on defence but just couldn't execute when just over midfield on the pair of 4th downs. That was there shot to get back in and they didn't take it.

Ed Bouchette @EdBouchette
#Steelers suspended Mendenhall bec after they told him he wd not dress vs. Chargers, he did not show up at Heinz Field, source says.
Looks like hell be done in Pittsburgh. Not a bust, but a disappointment.

Albert Breer @AlbertBreer
Stallworth did indeed suffer his high ankle sprain on that touchdown catch. Tough break, after he waited for that call most of the fall.
Man that's tough luck!
