ROG kicking the ball away for cheap turnovers with no prospect of regaining the ball again.
They go lateral then they kick the ball away. It's a pattern that killed them against Cardiff.

Just after waking up, and Frankie is talking sh**e yet again. Anybody criticising Rog in the media? How badly has he been playing?

Munster looking pretty poor.
Scrum is doing well again and the carrying is pretty effective.
Can people see Munster beating any of the teams they may face if they get to the 1/4 finals?

I sound like a i know but ROG is just not attacking enough. This is the game where Munster need a TBP win if they are to have any hope of making the last 8.

Before Tonks made that error Edinburgh defence were all just running backwards giving Munster plenty of space to kick the ball up field. Why do they keep running away from Munster?

Kilcoyne looks a good player. Theres some competition at loose head now with the way Tom Court has been playing.

I would be going for the corners now, not the points.

You think? Why? Made all his tackles, one really big one I guess. That's it though, or did I miss a bit?

How one eyed is this Irish commentator?! Some brilliant D from Edinburgh and all he can go on about is the "super" Munster attack!

Varley is playing, therefore lineout is about reliable as Rog's tackling.
Why can't you spell Earls properly?

He has made a couple of cracking runs, his defense has been excellent. Just try and look at him as a player and not as Kieth Earles the antichrist for a second

Why does Rog go so long off the restarts? Doesnt allow his players to compete for it

Buckley is having a very strong season for Connacht as well. It is great that there are good Irish options at all four provinces.
Varley has regressed terribly, his discipline is awful.
Commentary is awful, I'm struggling to listen.

Re: Edinburgh v Munster
I really do hate it when players hold onto ball in rucks off their feet, even when its your own team. Spoils momentum and is just plain dirty. Obviously its just one of those things that happens in rucks but its kind of like diving in football, unsportsman like IMO

That would only be the players who are his agents, he is apparently an awful pr**k of an agent as well, talked a few of his players out of contracts by asking for much too much money.

I do like Earls tbh Billy, I really do, I think he is wasted at 13 and hinders others outside him.
Objectively I see some grand passing, one ok run, grand defence and one great tackle and one fine penalty. Not playing badly but wouldn't say he is playing well.
Donnacha Ryan on the other hand!

If Munster do get through to the quarters i really cant see them progressing from there. They are a poor enough team atm

Jaysus pete, that was almost half a compliment for Earles there
Very poor from Munster but some excellent defense from ED keeping them in this. I would be worried that ED may run out of steam towards the end of the game if they keep it up though.

I dont know, i can see them progressing myself. There are only 1 or 2 teams that have looked excellent to be be honest and Munster can grind out wins.

Bloody hell, why didn't they take the scrum? BJ was dominating! He's just been robbed of a penalty try
Bloody backs talking to the referee thats why and making the call thats why. You can see now why they should be kept away from the important stuff

Yes, it has been excellent, really impressive considering he is not the biggest, his footwork is immense. Rog needs to get his Poopie together, downey is such a poor, poor player though I don't think he is playing well at all, Earls is doing decent but Munster need him to be doing better than that, which admittedly is hard with those two directly inside him.

I do like him, I just think he is very overrated and is playing out of position. He is good but as a centre I wouldn't give him any more than that.
Also his name is Earls as Val says!

Ryan, POM, Zebo and Earls have been the standout players for Munster. Sadly Downey and ROG offer nothing to inspire the backs.

Re: Edinburgh v Munster
O'Mahony is having a stormer, he must have broken through about 5 tackles already. His carrying has been exceptional this season, something he has been criticised for in the past. He has bulked up apparently too.
He needs to wise up though and stop getting involved in the handbags every single time, he seems to think he needs to get involved. Focus on the rugby for flip sake and stop making a fool out of yourself..

Not really, there is a reason why Northampton were happy to get rid of him, he just isn't all that good.

I would be tempted to bring Keatley on for ROG for the second half to be honest. Ed will surely be tired after that excellent defensive effort in the first half.

Right now the only place Earls could get in an Irish 23 is 13 as all wingers and fullbacks are playing better than him, Darcy is playing better at 12. BOD needs to up it but as captain he should make it in to the 13 jersey rightly or wrongly.
